I thought this was wrong and I retweeted it last night and expressed my sympathy. Then I find out today that this gay man has shown zero fecks (are we allowed to swear here? I can't remember) about men being appointed as women's officers. So basically my reaction now is ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

My point about being out was that I thought that dead naming and all that was a massive no-no, so how can a stealth transperson put themselves up for this position if this situation occurs where assumptions are made about a candidate /winner?

I've just been reading a community discussion elsewhere about a tv programme. A commenter has described herself as a "married, hetero, assexual-by-choice woman" who is "dictionary queer," as opposed to "socially queer." Naturally she is opining on LGBTQ+ representation in the programme from the perspective of being an "insider" rather than a het woman. No-one else on the board seems to find this odd.

As I was saying above, LGBTQ+ now seems to be anyone who feels a little bit alternative lifestyle-ish.
