Oh the irony! Watch the woke folk implode with self-righteous indignation!

Karma?

How bigoted of Rohit to not acknowledge his own cis LGBT+ privilege in the face of this poor person's trans-LGBT oppression

Grin Grin Grin

TurboTeddy · 28/06/2019 10:07

Wow look at all the transphobes on twitter assuming the gender identity of the successful candidate based on their (would hate to misgender) appearance. Isn't that literal violence?

It's almost as if they think biological sex is binary and in most cases obvious.........Grin

AlunWynsKnee · 28/06/2019 10:09

Spinster he may identify as agender and have no words to describe it. :)

Popchyk · 28/06/2019 10:12

"How does Rohit know that he's straight, then? Or, indeed, a man?"

Can you imagine if the successful candidate did now identify as a woman? And frankly there's nothing stopping him of course.

And Rohit has just called her a man? And misgendered her repeatedly? Grin

ThePurpleHeffalump · 28/06/2019 10:12

Well yes, he could be gay or trans or bi, but not yet able to speak about his identification. He needs love and support, not this hideous opposition because of how he currently presents.
He will blossom like a beauuuutiful butterfly in the right, nurturing environment. Come on Rohit, show him some tlc.

CassianAndor · 28/06/2019 10:12

Have we seen this tweet? Man comparing this with the notion of a man being a woman's officer - but his own Twitter feed shows he's fine with self ID. Berk.

Floisme · 28/06/2019 10:12

Schadenfreude is underrated. It goes down very nicely with espresso and dark chocolate.

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 28/06/2019 10:13

But let me have the schadenfreude! It's the only thing keeping me sane!

oh go on then

i'm just in a grump, and have been since it became apparent to me that Boris Fucking Johnson will be the next prime minister of the united kingdom, with no effective opposition

ZebrasAreBras · 28/06/2019 10:15

Bernard, I do feel like we are just watching civilisation eat itself now.

Floisme · 28/06/2019 10:17

I'd rather give in to schadenfreude than be permanently angry. It's all we have at the moment.

placemats · 28/06/2019 10:17

'Str8 white man' What's this person's colour got to do with it as well? How does he know this person is a 'man'.

Homophobia seems only to apply to males, obviously, within the Labour Party.

And yes, be careful what you wish for.

Solidarity, my arse!

PencilsInSpace · 28/06/2019 10:21

Shit like this is why satire is dead.

ZebrasAreBras · 28/06/2019 10:29

Stella Creasey - shame on you and the whole Labour Party.

"My heart goes out to you" and "here's my email address" !

That's it Stella - pander to the men again. Shoved women under the bus though, didn't you?

JessicaWakefieldSV · 28/06/2019 10:32

What's this person's colour got to do with it as well?

Exactly. If he was gay, but white, would Rohit still have a problem?? Race has nothing to do with this role and it’s frankly appalling he’s allowed to say that.

DickKerrLadies · 28/06/2019 10:33

I find it interesting how some of his supporters on twitter are complaining about people mentioning 'trans people' in women's posts and not 'transwomen'.

It's one thing being a massive hypocrite, it's another thing when you can see that they know it and are trying to obfuscate.

DickKerrLadies · 28/06/2019 10:35

Sorry that makes no sense. Blush

DickKerrLadies · 28/06/2019 10:36

I blame having to rewrite a post to avoid falling foul of the monitors [waves]

misscockerspaniel · 28/06/2019 10:39

Give this allegedly straight man a medal. Anyone taking bets as to how long before he is ousted by the sanctimonious hypocrites?

Singasonga · 28/06/2019 10:41

I completely agree that those roles should be for representation of the groups they're intended for. So there shouldn't be a heterosexual person in an LGBTQ+ role.

BUT... T isn't the same thing as sexual orientation. And Q means all sorts, much of which has little to do with sexual orientation. And if you're Bi but have been in an opposite sex marriage for 20-odd years, can you still represent the L & G, or should you step aside for someone who's outwardly in a same sex relationship?

Honestly, the expansion of the Stonewall umbrella has really confused the hell out of things. At this rate, they're literally representing anyone who feels like a bit of an outsider for some sexually-related reason, regardless of how they'd be viewed by others.

EweSurname · 28/06/2019 10:51

Ha, I was blocked by Shamir Shami for asking why women didn't deserve equality in response to his tweet saying TWAW etc and I've seen he's retweeted Rohit.

DuMondeB · 28/06/2019 10:58

Is this person definitely not LGBTQI+ or is Rohit just claiming so because he’s pissed off at losing?

Having read both speeches/statements, only Rohit’s opponent seems to have a decent grasp of the actual boring grunt work that comes with a CLP Officer role, not surprised they were elected 🤷‍♀️

Apollo440 · 28/06/2019 11:01

Surely the guy just needs to identify as a woman and that will make him a lesbian in the same way that LM is a lesbian. Problem solved. She will still be white though, so perhaps she could push the boundaries and identify out of that too.

Popchyk · 28/06/2019 11:06

He's probably gender-fluid.

He was a woman last night for a couple of hours and then a man again now.

Works for Philip Bunce.

DuMondeB · 28/06/2019 11:09

Just being a part-time crossdresser would get a person under the T umbrella - no need to ‘identify’, just be in ‘girlmode/en femme’ the last Friday of the month.

Look at Eddie Izzard. All he does is paint his nails and wear a beret, and he seems to think that’s enough to be eligible for an AWS.

(presumably his gas bill still reads Eddie?)

CaveMum · 28/06/2019 11:13

Stella Creasy is, rightly, getting a pasting on Twitter for offering her support and to take the matter further.
