She is having a really tough time on Twitter. Someone has also leaked a chat between some supportive MSPs. She is doing so much for us here in Scotland.

If anyone is reading this and thinking, what can I do. Send her a card to the Scottish Parliament. Their offices are glass. Show other MSPs as they walk by that she has huge support.

Please. It must be so hard for her and she is asking all the right questions and doing all the right things. Thanks.

I think this is such a lovely idea, especially in the days of social media. Cards have extra meaning.

Joan's just tweeted a photo of all the cards she received over the Easter break. Maybe you can spot yours!

This is so lovely. Hopefully those other three female MSPs will have received some too.

Looks like they are highly visible in her office. Hopefully they'll send a message to others that women appreciate other women who stand up for them.

I can see mine!

She is pinning the cards up around the entrance to her office. I hope her visitors take a peek inside my card and read what I wrote to Joan.

www.scotsman.com/news/politics/politicians-urge-scottish-government-not-to-rush-gender-change-bill-1-4913919

Fifteen senior SNP politicians, including three government ministers and a deputy presiding officer of the Scottish Parliament, have called for the Scottish Government not to “rush” into legislation they claim could change the definition of what it means to be male and female.

MSPs Kate Forbes, Ash Denham and Ivan McKee, who are all government ministers, have signed a public letter laying out their concerns about the increasingly bitter debate around proposed changes to the Gender Recognition Act (GRA).

SNP colleagues Joan McAlpine, Ruth Maguire, Christine Grahame and Kenneth Gibson, along with their MP colleagues Carol Monaghan, Angus Macneil, Joanna Cherry and Patricia Gibson, are co-signatories.

Cismyfatarse1 · 24/04/2019 08:22

Amazing. Well done for all the cards. Might have helped tip a few over.

That's a great front page, let's keep the cards coming!

Here's an easy way to send cards without even leaving your computer / phone. You can upload a pic or use one of their designs.

(Costs about £1.50 and takes about 2-5 days for UK).
