It is very funny the statement from the other party

“mx X told RollOnFriday, "The videos were published many years ago long before my formal transition", and that until recently "nowhere within the public domain was there any document saying [male name included / different male name included] is now [current female name included]".

ISNT THAT DEADNAMING?? 😱

NotTerfNorCis · 28/03/2019 18:09

Good news. Did Hayden lose out in any way over this? Hope so or we might see more of the same in future.

IStillMissBlockbuster · 28/03/2019 18:12

Is there any mechanism of recourse for someone like SH who regularly racks up tonnes of threats/ attempted actions like this? I mean, how mean has SH launched of late? Loads it seems like.

AncientLights · 28/03/2019 18:14

Brill. Another court case brought by them bites the dust. So glad for Graham & family.

Carowiththegoodhair · 28/03/2019 18:22

Great news Glinner, but not forgotten Kate or Posie and am mentioning them whenever I get the opportunity.

These vexatious claims are all going rather pear-shaped. Anyone might think that the gig is up!

XXcstatic · 28/03/2019 18:24

TF for that - I had a sinking feeling when I saw the thread title. I second everything pombear said. Great news, glinner Smile

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 28/03/2019 18:24

very good news - really pleased for Glinner

let's hope it makes Hayden reconsider their current strategy

Absolutepowercorrupts · 28/03/2019 18:26

I really hope the lying lawyer has realised that sunlight can be powerful and as pp said this won't help the cause. The more this topic is in the public domain the more people can see that the emperor is naked

RomanticFatigue · 28/03/2019 18:26

Great news. I wonder why?

RomanticFatigue · 28/03/2019 18:30

Why now I mean, not why in general.

XXcstatic · 28/03/2019 18:33

Why now I mean, not why in general

I suspect the outcry over the plods feeling Caroline F's collar for aggravated truth-telling, in contravention of Section 666 of the Mermaids Act might have something to do with it Wink

ToeToToe · 28/03/2019 18:44

I'm guessing it'll be a combination of things:

-The public outrage about Caroline Farrow/Harry the Owl being contacted by police.

-that Mail article on Kate being arrested. A while ago now, I know, but the reaction to it was huge. And global. And not a lot of people supported Hayden.

-glinner being a popular public figure, with (no doubt) excellent legal representation.

-Helen Islan's embarrassing failure in court.

-Helen Islan's own twitter activities being scrutinised in court. Hayden's twitter activities are far from perfect - all those veiled threats with Harrop "let's visit Caroline's church...with golf clubs" type quips. Wouldn't look good to a judge that.

Let's hope Kate's is dropped too. Kate, if you're reading, and this gets that far - please crowd fund for a decent Barrister (like Gudrun Young, Miranda's barrister) - I'll chip in. You have lots of support here Thanks

misscockerspaniel · 28/03/2019 18:49

Hayden doesn't seem to be tweeting this news.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 28/03/2019 18:52

Probably off playing golf or summit.

lottiebel123 · 28/03/2019 18:56

Hayden is going on about Brexit at the moment and no mention of this whatsoever.
Funny that.
The game is indeed up.

ToeToToe · 28/03/2019 19:11

Hayden's tweeted about it now.

Somehow - over in divorced-from-reality-land - Hayden is making out to be the winner here Grin Because when you drop your case, you're always the winner huh.

Orwellianmince · 28/03/2019 19:13

Great news @Glinner-I suspect SH has realised that this has just led to a Streisand effect on them. I, for one, had never heard of them before this & was quickly able to find a recognisable photo of them, pre-transition, on a public Legal website-as they kept their (previous?) profession public. They drew attention to this themselves.
Far more people are now aware of them (& others) & I suspect the recent dropped case showed them that it is a Pyrrhic victory if, in making a complaint, they shine the light on their own past behaviour.
I too hope you can re-coup the legal costs from them.

AssassinatedBeauty · 28/03/2019 19:17

They seem completely unaware of how gloating about the legal expenses makes them look.

AlwaysTawnyOwl · 28/03/2019 19:23

Fabulous and thank you for all your support.

Orwellianmince · 28/03/2019 19:23

Oh I just saw the comment re: you have had to pay huge costs. We already have all the Father Ted, Black Books & IT Crowd series or would have bought them to support you. Great Mother's Day present if anyone hasn't got them.Flowers

HaroldsSoCalledBluetits · 28/03/2019 19:27

How much were Hayden's costs? Afaik Hayden, while identifying as a lawyer, isn't a libel barrister so presumably hired someone.

ChattyLion · 28/03/2019 19:28

Great news- at last. Gin
Thanks Glinner for not backing down and telling the truth. Flowers

JessicaWakefieldSVH · 28/03/2019 19:31

So their intent was just to incur legal expenses over a tweet, so they could gloat about it?

So, is there a fund started to contribute to those costs? I would definitely help to cover these costs. Very expensive for something that’s not ended in court

JessicaWakefieldSVH · 28/03/2019 19:31

Great Mother's Day present if anyone hasn't got them

Good idea!
