McKinnon is going after Kelly Holmes now and has tweeted @iamspecialized who Kelly has a sponsorship deal with

My feeling is that it is not just narcissism and echo chambers, but the way that technology, gaming, the banality of porn and social media have warped thinking.

Avatars blending into personas blending into identities. There are lots of people who game, have cyber sex, have social media accounts and completely lie about themselves. There is a sub-sect who don't know who the hell they are anymore. I remember first meeting someone who believed in transhumanism about 12 years ago (before I knew what the word for it was) and I thought it was ridiculous, but the idea is taking hold. I also very recently found out that Silicone Valley is full of people who are constantly on low doses of LSD (as was Steve Jobs) - which explains why completely implausible ideas are taking hold there.

It is a community with its own mystical beliefs that, to people on planet normal, is all very creepy and weird.

So basically I believe there is a cross-over between McKinnon's ideas and the acid-induced craze of 'body-hacking'. People even think you can hack a bloke's body, put a real or artificial womb in it - he'll be able to gestate a baby and he will literally be a woman - entirely the same as an actual woman. They have watched too much Robocop and taken too many hallucinogens.

And the thing that is really missing is normal people standing up and saying ugh, disgusting why the fuck would anyone want to do that (inject into, cut, remove, replace, implant, modify, etc healthy bodies to make them part synthetic/tech in a twisted idea of 'improving' upon nature)?

I started a thread today which was deleted. It's a brilliant article on transpeople and sports. However, it can be read on the Fair Play for Women Facebook page, the first post there.

Kelly tweeted something earlier today which shows she hasn't heard from the bike company, and they don't seem to have said anything public. They've started tweeting from the account again after it was silent for a bit.

I wonder if the same person is driving the account? Did they get back to the whinger?

I emailed Kelly last week with my support and thanks for standing up for women and girls and got a email reply thanking me! Am just a bit star struck
