Emma G who declared war on Graham Linehan, and seemingly compared him to US neo-Nazis

See here:
mobile.twitter.com/Glinner/status/1087617063277993984

"Here's a thing I want
@Glinner
to know:

Graham, I am well-known for devastating the neo-Nazi movement in the US. I've helped swing US Military policy. People have gone to jail. They're afraid of me. They've kept me busy, but not for much longer.

And you're in my sights next."

mobile.twitter.com/EmilyGorcenski/status/1087297309388562432

Has now written a thread on their activism tactics.

Which sound... familiar. I can understand why Graham may want the thread reported for encouraging harassment, but maybe it should stay up to show everyone their tactics. Let's look and learn.

Thread:

archive.fo/eqCSq
(I think I've archived the whole thread there ?)

Since we're apparently being called Nazis, fascist, alt-right etc... Lol.
Or "other movements" .
Also, we have excellent reasoning.
Anyway, these are the tweets, pretty revealing:

  1. "There’s a playbook for undermining movements that works particularly well when those movements aren’t rooted in reason but in exclusion and mutuality. This playbook works for fascist groups, but also works for reflexive patriotism, hateful religiosity, and other movements."
  1. "The important thing to remember is you cannot debate in good faith with someone who will not debate in good faith. You cannot win on those terms."
  1. "Any debate is for the benefit of the unaffiliated external observer, so you have to frame the matter in the appropriate context, and that context should be tailored to the virtue centers of the audience. Exclusion and bigotry vs inclusion and civil rights."
  1. "Even still, you’re really not in a high-efficiency activity here. You’re far better off doing direct outreach."

  2. "Beyond that, there are a number of tools at your disposal. First, you recognize that their sense of identity is unity-focused, so your goal should be to sow distrust among the in-group to factionalize and divide."

  3. "Identifying and pressuring existing stress fractures is key. Frame the internal divisions and try to make them appear even larger."

  4. "Undermining trust also can take direct forms. I’ll leave it to your imagination here."

  5. "Next, remove the pillars of support of the movement. This means engaging with the things they rely on most heavily. This is hard, because this feels like an uphill battle."

  6. "If they rely on the media, you find inroads with the media. If they rely on the state, you (carefully and wisely) use the state. Turn their best tools against them. Undermining the trust in their foundations further exacerbates the internal divisions."

  7. "Then, shape their message as much ado about nothing. Seal off newcomers joining them because they look like zealots waging a very serious war against an absurd opponent."

  8. "While you do this, deny all forms of comfort. Undermine the sense of security in the spaces they feel most comfortable. Again, it’s left to your imagination here."

  9. "Each of these things will come with a pushback that will lead to a backlash. Don’t let that surprise you. Predict it and preempt it."

  10. "This allows you to start shaping the narrative of your choosing. Do not react. No story about your movement should come as a surprise. Preact. You should always have a response plan."

  11. "Finally, leave them in a state of perpetual uncertainty. Make sure they never have any confidence in what you know or what you’re about to do next. Always hold a promise of a bigger backlash against them. This takes time but they’ll learn after a few blows to be more cautious."

  12. "If they think you’ve got nothing, always have something. If you have something, make them think you’ve got nothing."

  13. "This is precisely the playbook that was implemented after UTR to good success. The effects weren’t immediate but they only took about 7 months to effectively neutralize several key alt right movements and leaders."

      1. I have no idea what they're talking about ( also got no idea what UTR is/was above, I included that because "7mnths to "neutralize") so not going to copy those here.
  14. "Fascistic movements think that unification around their identity is what makes them strong, but it’s not. It makes them weak. While cringing a bit by even brining this up, this is precisely how Russia exploited American identitarianism to manipulate our democracy."

I think we can recognise some of these tactics trans activists have employed. If we had outlined what they were doing like this, we'd probably be called paranoid conspiracy theorists. Thanks Emma, for laying it all out in the open.

NB: Conservative media has claimed Fields was provoked into getting into his car and mowing down the crowd (which killed Heyer).

I don't buy that excuse, but if true, threatening someone with a semi automatic rifle is provocative.

AngryAttackKittens · 23/01/2019 22:45

Sorry, Bowl, I'm not reading up on furries and you can't make me! So there!

Now I sound about as mature as Emily, but 99% less violent.

R0wantrees · 23/01/2019 22:56

Yup. Why is it apparently OK to say / wear a t shirt saying "punch a terf" when it would (in most cases, anyway) not be Ok to say "punch a woman"? Because TRAs have succeed in making GC women "other" and therefore "deserving" of what they get

Yet not ok for a woman to wear a T shirt which sates 'woman: adult human female' in Macclesfield pub!

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights/3464900-Reports-of-Macclesfield-pub-barring-woman-for-wearing-adult-human-female-T-shirt

or put up a bilboard stating the same:

'Sky News - Posie Parker V Adrian Harrop'

I sincerely hope Emily is on some sort of watch list. They are a dangerous individual, not so much for what action they may take personally, but for what their bizarre ranting may encourage someone else to do. Let's face it a lot of them are a sandwich short of a picnic, to put it politely.

That said it has been amusing reading the responses. I laugh-snorted at Titania's post, particularly the latte invite.

The involvement of mimmymum is interesting. She has really been seeking out high profile trans people of late. I wonder why? Is SG too busy reporting people to the police? Or maybe, just maybe, there's a tiny little bit of resentment there. After all she's a trans parent too! Why does SG get all the high profile media interviews? Where are her awards? Susie! Susie! Susie!

A bit of internet snooping last night has been quite interesting. Tiny little cracks are appearing between different factions (for want of a better word). This was always going to be the case, that many narcissist's and personality disorders were never going to come together as a cohesive group.

Hold strong, oh and grab the popcorn.

NB: Conservative media has claimed Fields was provoked into getting into his car and mowing down the crowd (which killed Heyer).

Rubbish! Fields was convicted of FIRST degree murder in part because:

Prosecutor Nina-Alice Antony pointed out that Fields, twice posted on Instagram before the rally an image of a group of people getting struck by a car.
www.nbcnews.com/news/crime-courts/james-alex-fields-found-guilty-killing-heather-heyer-during-violent-n945186

That POS fantasied about and planned, then carried his violence against protesters.

Stickers aren’t allowed either

Principal backs transgender students over ‘hurtful’ stickers

www.thetimes.co.uk/edition/scotland/principal-backs-transgender-students-over-hurtful-stickers-9jpztg2tz

The principal of the University of Edinburgh has been accused of “suppressing women’s rights” after he backed transgender activists in a row over “transphobic” stickers on campus.

Professor Peter Mathieson has angered feminist campaigners after assuring students that he would not tolerate “offensive stickers” that have appeared on university grounds since last summer. Some of them are understood to say “Female is a biological reality” and “Woman. Noun. Adult human female”.

He promised that those responsible for the stickers would be traced through CCTV and disciplined. Police Scotland had also been contacted, he said.

NotBadConsidering · 24/01/2019 09:57

Emily’s account must be parody. Must be. Surely...?

Datun · 24/01/2019 10:32

Emily, apparently, was beaten up by people identifying as Nazis, who were subsequently convicted and given a custodial sentence. Which is the extent of Emily's Nazi hunting influence.

According to someone on Twitter. I can't be bothered to read the background, myself.

It's very telling that Emily calls women's rights to sex segregation, and current law, a 'movement' that Emily is 'coming for'.

In ye olden days, people like this would just have a big L stamped on their forehead and an exclusion zone around them.

KindOfAGeek · 24/01/2019 12:13

GrinitchSpinach

Well, yes I agree with you but 1. conservative media has claimed its and 2. if Emily is also claiming to have chased him, that's problematic.

Court cases don't always get at the truth.

DisrespectfulAdultFemale · 24/01/2019 16:46

Late to the party: (I have had A Day) but there was an interest in article in The Economist's World in 2019: self-ID "forces everyone else to accept a subjective feeling as reality, and everything that flows from it." And "those on the left will find it harder to accept the evidence of harm, even as more comes to light".

New, completely original tactic - appropriate something else from women (as Emily sees it)

What is this Emma person on about - heavily into anti-vax movement? Posters who raise anti vaccination stuff normally get ripped to shreds on MN! It's not pro anti-vax at all.

OnTheDarkSideOfTheSpoon · 11/02/2019 09:29

I don't know if they were referring to here or US sites? But either way, Emily claims that TERFs are also a front for white supremacy so I'm not sure if their understanding on these issues is nuanced and ironically, appears to be reactionary.

ErrolTheDragon · 11/02/2019 09:43

Posters who raise anti vaccination stuff normally get ripped to shreds on MN! It's not pro anti-vax at all.

Yes - and given that there's a strong rationalist/evidence based backbone to most FWR posters I'd guess that on the Venn diagram there would be a large overlap with being pro evidence-based medicine ie not anti-vax.

Examining evidence may not be Emily G's strong point.

Ereshkigal · 11/02/2019 09:49

LOL. That's been tried before, Emily love. Various TRAs and handmaidens have pompously declared that they are "reclaiming" radical feminism, presumably so it centres male people.

They haven't.

Ereshkigal · 11/02/2019 09:51

It seems Emily doesn't understand what "radical" refers to in this context.

terryleather · 11/02/2019 09:52

Y'all are a dimwit Emily.

hipsterfun · 11/02/2019 09:57

I’d say Emily is 35/36; needs to grow up, fast.

  1. Score own goals.

  2. Shoot selves in foot.

These last two seemingly a focus of late. Winning.

hipsterfun · 11/02/2019 09:59

Awaits screenshot of 22. as evidence of TERF literal violence Grin
