I just watched Graham’s video tonight where he says he’s taking a break from Twitter over Xmas and I realised that a) we are going to miss him hugely and b) he must be in need of some headspace. The guy is a fucking legend and has taken on this fight to much cost to his reputation, not to mention personal life. I feel such love for the man because he is the ONLY ‘celebrity’ who’s vocal on Twitter who seems to feel as aggrieved and as passionate as I do! It breaks my heart that it might be getting too much for him because if he bowed out I’d feel like they’d won.

Graham, I hope you have a peaceful break over Xmas because if anyone deserves some down time it’s you you bloody ledge.

I got half way through the thread, too depressing. I find it hard enough reading the more general abuse directed at gender critical women, or beng put on blocklists. Twitter can be incredibly hard going at times. Fewer voices of reason as women get swiftly banned.

Can't help feeling that Comerford has seen his chance for fame by hanging onto Glinner's coattails.

What I'd like to ask Comerford, who at least seems convinced of his argument, is this: where were all these trans kids in previous generations? These kids who were so uncomfortable in their own bodies that from an early age they were trying to mutilate or kill themselves unless they were recognised as the opposite sex? If trans people really are 1% of the population, why wasn't this a well-known phenomenon in every age and culture? And don't compare it to left-handed people... we always knew about left-handed kids.

There is Freud's theory of penis envy in girls, but he thought all girls pass through that stage, and really he invented it because he needed a female equivalent for the Oedipus complex. Interesting to note that Freud's theories had a lot of credibility for many decades. At one point anyone arguing against penis envy would have been called 'anti science'.

I'm enjoying, in a perverse kind of way, the Irish TRAs' rage over Glinner. They can say what they want about him, make up outrageous claims and slurs but they know it's not true. They know somewhere deep down that a man who supported women in Gamergate and got seriously involved in Repeal is not a hateful bigot or a lunatic. They just can't bring themselves to admit it.
