Glinner’s Xmas Break

I just watched Graham’s video tonight where he says he’s taking a break from Twitter over Xmas and I realised that a) we are going to miss him hugely and b) he must be in need of some headspace. The guy is a fucking legend and has taken on this fight to much cost to his reputation, not to mention personal life. I feel such love for the man because he is the ONLY ‘celebrity’ who’s vocal on Twitter who seems to feel as aggrieved and as passionate as I do! It breaks my heart that it might be getting too much for him because if he bowed out I’d feel like they’d won.

Graham, I hope you have a peaceful break over Xmas because if anyone deserves some down time it’s you you bloody ledge.

Thank you so much for all that you do.

❤️

Merry Xmas @Glinner and mind you don't inadvertently wander into the women's bra section of a department store...

Much love to Graham we will never forget that you stood/stand with us 🥃

MrsTerryPratcett · 15/12/2018 21:05

Just scrolling through this thread and snorting at the Father Ted and Black Books references. Not sure anyone has made me laugh as much.

"Small... far away" is still the funniest line ever.

Beamur · 15/12/2018 21:35

He's a brave soul.
Glimmer, if you read this i'm just going to have a small fan girl moment, we are huge fans of yours in my house and to know you're a person of integrity and courage too just makes us admire you more.
Happy Christmas.

Fantasisa · 15/12/2018 21:42

Graham, this is an important thing you are doing: not only are you standing up for women, you are standing up for facts. Both matter hugely.

I’ve just been watching this and wanted to send him a message of gratitiude, but dont want to add to his load of emails. It made me extremely angry seeing his kind, decent face looking stressed and ground down. The wrongness of this.
I am massively grateful to Glinner for everything he has done to stand up for women, and i hope he has the loveliest of Christmasses with his family.

Glinner · 16/12/2018 19:40

Thanks for the kind words, everyone! It means more than you'll ever know. I've started a new thread that might be of interest...

Noted *Glinner, just seen your other thread re Lottery grant to Mermaids. Email duly sent.

tarziew · 16/12/2018 21:10

You’re more than welcome @Glinner! You’re a bit of a hero round these parts!

Have gone to your other thread, will send off that email re: Mermaids now.

Thanks a million and have a fantastic Christmas!

You’re a bloody hero mate! Saw your video today and you are truly a man of integrity. Thank you so much for being willing to stand up for us and for the truth. History will ( hopefully ) exonerate you. Tons of love to you and all your family! Xmas Smile

DandelionsAreNotLions · 16/12/2018 22:33

Thanks Graham.
You really are brave and stunning.

Ereshkigal · 16/12/2018 22:38

Have downloaded all the episodes of the IT crowd for a nice Christmas treat on my commute this week. Have a splendid and bounteous Christmas with your wife and kids. You deserve it. Xmas SmileWine

Hullabalooo · 16/12/2018 22:45

He truly is a hero!

Looks like Paris Lees got all their followers to attack Mumsnet tonight. I'm blocked by them on Twitter so can anybody screenshot what the tweet actually said please? The other thread's been taken down which seems a shame really.

Yeahnahyeah · 16/12/2018 22:58

Glinner have a very merry Xmas, I'm so bloody grateful to have your support.

NotTerfNorCis · 16/12/2018 23:03

The other thread has gone. TRA attack. The message from Mumsnet:

We've taken this thread down overnight as it seems to be causing an awful lot of reports. We've a few things to discuss about it at MNHQ in the morning but we'll let you know as soon as we can what's happening with the thread. Thanks for your patience.

ToeToToe · 16/12/2018 23:04

@glinner thread about Mermaids has been taken down. I'm pretty angry about that actually.

Please tell me it's not ok to advocate for children to undergo surgery, puberty blockers and sex hormones for a gender ideology. Please tell me that's not were our society is going.

Please tell me that Mumsnet is going to fall down against the women advocating to let children be children, and not be constrained by rigid gender stereotypes that tell them they can really change to the opposite sex? Just no.
