Glinner’s Xmas Break

I just watched Graham’s video tonight where he says he’s taking a break from Twitter over Xmas and I realised that a) we are going to miss him hugely and b) he must be in need of some headspace. The guy is a fucking legend and has taken on this fight to much cost to his reputation, not to mention personal life. I feel such love for the man because he is the ONLY ‘celebrity’ who’s vocal on Twitter who seems to feel as aggrieved and as passionate as I do! It breaks my heart that it might be getting too much for him because if he bowed out I’d feel like they’d won.

Graham, I hope you have a peaceful break over Xmas because if anyone deserves some down time it’s you you bloody ledge.

He’s been dealing with his cancer diagnosis and treatment too, I’m sure the stress of the onslaught of abuse he’s getting won’t be helping.

But I hope (I think) that he will be back. They might have got Alison Moyet but they haven’t got Glinner.

P.S. anyone else dying to see the list of high profile GC politicians, journalists etc. that James Kirkup has made, of people who’ve privately expressed dismay at the current state of affairs but are too scared to speak up?

I felt for you, watching that video, Graham. You're where we've all been at one point or another - head so full you think it might explode and nobody seems to care.

Glinner and his wife were very involved in the campaign to repeal the 8th amendment in Ireland. They were involved in the TFMR (termination for medical reasons) group and shared their own sad story to help further the cause. Unfortunately much of Irish "woke Twitter" has now turned on him for his stance on transactivism, and are claiming that he has lost his mind and must be abused and shunned. Fuck them @glinner they aren't representative and other people are starting to finally wake up.

Wishing you and your family a really nice, peaceful Christmas. Definitely a good idea to turn twitter off for a bit, it’s a cesspit.

It is a nasty shock when you think you have a sensible viewpoint and you know others share it but they refuse to say so. It’s like the world shifts a little on its axis.
