bowl yep I've got the links, they were super pieces weren't they?

rightreckoner I absolutely howled at that thread (now in classics) where a poster's husband discovered her having an imaginary interview with JG about her imaginary bestselling novel. Utterly brilliant!

jemina agreed - will try and gently ask (if I get chance, we might just be ushered in and out of the studio for our segment, not sure how it works) if I can mention how thankful we are for the discussions about this issue, (and would love to see more)

Happy to update if it's of any interest :) Will be on Monday morning, usual time, and I'm the one that isn't the Professor and isn't married to the bloke from McFly Wink

Bananafish - sounds like grand approach. Good luck and enjoy! 👍

JG was so lovely! We got to chat further because I stayed on to record an extended discussion for the WH podcast, so we had a chat in the studio. Mainly about the topics to cover in the podcast but I did express our sincere thanks! I managed not to swear live on R4, although she did tell us beforehand that actually it was an adult show with no watershed so actually to say whatever we liked!

Just read this article in the Guardian
www.theguardian.com/sport/blog/2018/dec/10/calls-athletes-compete-group-resisted

Closing sentence: "Harper and Tucker are clear that calls for all athletes to compete as a homogenised group must be resisted. “It would be a major disaster for women’s sports,” says Tucker. It is hard to disagree."

My thoughts on it - although focusing on elite sport, the message should be the same for amateur and recreational as well - where fair competition and safety are deemed important, by governing bodies and female participants, the ability to segregate sport by sex should be preserved.

I strongly agree. ^^

dolorsit has started a thread on that Guardian piece:

Will head over. I was pleased with it, would be good to see what others say. Someone's already highlighted something on twitter.
