I don't know anything about the kind of thing you can ask through FOI - but what was the date/time of the complaint, and who made the decision about when to cancel, would be interesting. If the council waited until the last minute to cancel it would be a bad look.

There really is a concerted attempt to silence women now: if you're banned from Twitter, banned from advertising on billboards, banned from speaking in public, deleted if you comment on the Guardian, how many options do you have left? I suppose it's only a matter of time before they ban us from speaking in the street with a megaphone. Or, next stage, without one.
