I’m so, SO angry with the ‘it’s exhausting’ rationale. It’s pathetic and really bloody insulting and infuriating. I’ve been a member of this website for 15 years. FIFTEEEN.

The mods are ‘exhausted’ by standing up for feminism? Really??

For fuck’s sake!

3TresTrois · 27/09/2018 22:31

I’m exhausted, too. Trust me, MNHQ.

ToeToToe · 27/09/2018 22:36

Seconded, 3TresTrois

I've been a Mumsnetter since 2010, under various accounts (changed, actually, because of the security breaches by HQ, eg the Jeff hacking, Emma Healey).

I'm exhausted that we are deleted and banned from Mumsnet for stating biological facts, or for standing up for women - ie. by speaking the truth.

We are on the right side of history. Men are not women.

SamPotatoes · 27/09/2018 22:38

A member for 10 years here (to anyone from MNHQ wanting to check my credentials- I de-regged and used an entirely fresh email/profile after Jeffrey. Happy to give you details). How much have people like maryz given to this site over those years and are now banned? It is a very poor show.

RuddyTrees · 27/09/2018 22:41

Please, please can we have someone who is willing to 'go public' and speak for so many of us. I dared to put my head above the parapet on Twitter and Facebook and was threatened by TRA's via DMs. The matter is now in the hands of the police but I will not and can not risk speaking out again. My only hope is to support other women (and men) who are willing to say "We can support trans people, but not at the expense of others."

ThefusilliJerry · 27/09/2018 22:44

They ban posie but leave anti Semitic scum free to pour their filth over every Corbyn thread - their priorities stink

rightreckoner · 27/09/2018 22:48

If I told my clients/content providers/users (however you want to think of us) that I was exhausted managing them they would tell me to take a running jump.

MrsAird · 27/09/2018 22:56

Meanwhile I have donated again to standingforwomen.com to honour Posie's magnificent performance on Sky news yesterday.

RepealtheGRA · 27/09/2018 22:59

Please donate to #handsoffmyrights crowdfunder as well. They still have 2.5K to get Smile

ToeToToe · 27/09/2018 23:00

HQ is only exhausted because they are trying to enforce ridiculous new guidelines that are trying to surf cognitive dissonance like nothing else I've ever seen.

That is exhausting - not the feminists you have posting here - you know the ones helping you generate income from advertisers etc, the ones posting on here day after day - and who frequently stick up for Mumsnet. Remember the threads about Justine's article? 100's of posts of support.

You know those TRAs that are still littering the Mumsnet twitter timeline on a daily basis MNHQ?

They haven't stopped since you introduced those new moderation guidelines ( - just for trans ideology, note - no other ideology on Mumsnet gets their own specialist guidelines!). Those twitter activists have not been placated by your enforcement of the new guidelines. They still want you shut down for providing a space where we can talk. Where women can talk.

Bolloxio · 27/09/2018 23:19

I didn't know thebewilderness was banned, now that is a very very ban decision. I wondered why she hadn't been around. I never once saw her insult anyone, not even slightly

Bolloxio · 27/09/2018 23:21

Those twitter activists have not been placated by your enforcement of the new guidelines.

They will not be happy with ANYTHING short of banning all feminists from here.

MNHQ stood up to the MRAs last time, why is it different this time?

HobNobcentral · 27/09/2018 23:40

agree let Posie & Maryz back

ArcheryAnnie · 28/09/2018 00:11

We're all exhausted. None of us want to be discussing this shit at all. But we have to, if we aren't to see the biggest rollback of women's rights in the last 50 years.

Please allow her back (if she will come).

TimeForDebate · 28/09/2018 00:24

Please invite her back. She was marvellous. We need her and voices like hers to speak up and be heard. We need to gather, not exclude the speakers with the guts and the poise to get our message across.

NewbieSpartacus · 28/09/2018 00:24

We really know our place now, don't we. We are fighting and fighting for the rights and lives and health of vulnerable people, but what takes priority is the 'toxic work environment' of this business.

NarcolepticOuchMouse · 28/09/2018 01:02

I don't see how people complaining about her means it's okay to silence her? There's countless people I could complain about being total fuckwits but I don't expect any of them to be deplatformed.

You've fucked up MNHQ and you're continuing to do so.

lydiamajora · 28/09/2018 04:12

Bolloxio - "MNHQ stood up to the MRAs last time, why is it different this time?"

Because now the MRAs are wearing frocks.

lydiamajora · 28/09/2018 04:16

Illustration, complete with handmaidens.

Please MNHQ overturn Posie Parker's ban
BigChocFrenzy · 28/09/2018 05:12

Bring back Posie
Bring back MaryZ

Appeasing violent men never works
It just makes them demand more

@Mumsnet should NOT be silencing women for speaking the truth about men oppressing us
STOP censoring feminists

BigChocFrenzy · 28/09/2018 05:15

TRAs are just a subset of MRAs - with more rich men backing them

AnyFucker · 28/09/2018 07:35

Rich men with very questionable sexual habits.

ToeToToe · 28/09/2018 07:45

Well, yes. And somehow this has become unsayable.

How? How has it happened that women's concerns about safeguarding and women's rights have been silenced by a group with so many sexual fetishists within? It's barmy - red flags all over the shop. Clicking on some of the TAs twitter profiles - and #girlslikeus - is very illuminating.

Miladymilord · 28/09/2018 08:08

Maybe Posie was pmming aggressively? That's what I take from what mumsnet has said. Tbf they do have a duty to their staff.

JoanSummers · 28/09/2018 09:08

I think MNHQ have deliberately tried to be as vague as possible about Posie and other's 'crimes', just a little nudge that it has been exhausting for them dealing with some women and they would never ban a woman ordinarily so if they have banned someone it is probably because that woman did something really bad, they just can't tell us what or when, and noone else saw anything worth banning about, but that's because us plebs don't see everything and there is probably something really heinous that happened just out of view, but again noone can say what that was.

So people think Posie must have been sending dodgy PMs. Because wtf else could any of this actually mean?

MNHQ it is shameful to deliberately imply that Posie (and others) have done grim things behind the scenes, with no evidence shown and them completely denied any ability to defend themselves here.

I don't know how you choose and train your mods/staff but something in there needs changing, urgently.
