I see the crowd funding thread has been deleted. Message from MNHQ re not allowing campaigns not from registered charities etc.

Have I been had? Now panicking about doxxing etc. I just wanted to help. I'm not that savvy really Blush

Hi. New mumsnetter here. I'm confused, is this a thread about donating to some kind of fundraiser? And, what is a 'bump'........

VickyEadie · 17/09/2018 15:42

A bump is (a) that thing many of you had for a while before you forced a small human out of your fanjo and (b) a thing you do to keep a thread live.

HTH.

EmpressAdultHumanFemale · 17/09/2018 15:43

Hello Rage, good questions. Bumps are posts specifically made to keep threads visible in Active. We can't post a direct link to the fundraiser but anyone who wanted to know more could Google Fair Play for Women.

BeyondAnOmnishambles · 17/09/2018 16:05

Boing.

Juells · 17/09/2018 16:22

No, billboards is Standing for Women.

FPFW is Hands off our rights.

Thanks for that information Besmirching, I didn't realise they were two different fundraisers.

RageAgainstTheTagine · 17/09/2018 16:23

Writes down on scratchy paper......
Fair....Play....for.....Women. Got it. And, I simply have to google the easy to copy and paste sentence...

Fair play for women

And I'll find their website? Amiright?.

Juells · 17/09/2018 16:28

Yes, you know how to use the internet!!!

EmpressAdultHumanFemale · 17/09/2018 16:30

That's right! And you'll find information about the crowdfunder and what they're raising money for on the homepage.

CantStandMeow · 17/09/2018 16:36

That PayPal button is really handy

EmpressAdultHumanFemale · 17/09/2018 16:38

It is, isn't it? No need to go looking for your bank card.

DuggeesWoggle · 17/09/2018 17:15

I don't have PayPal but it was still really easy.

Proud to have donated to this

averylongtimeago · 17/09/2018 20:15

So you can use PayPal for lots of surprising things can't you?
Buying stuff from eBay, donating to charity and things like that!

I hear Fair Play for Women are doing really good stuff with the "hands off our rights" thing.

I might just google them

Noqont · 17/09/2018 20:43

Oh yes, definitely Google them. They're doing lots of amazing stuff.

Onlyinanemergency · 17/09/2018 21:43

Who are?

GladAllOver · 17/09/2018 21:47

I don't know exactly

But I expect someone will be along soon to explain

SciFiFan2015 · 17/09/2018 21:49

So - what's the news then about [insert name of soap character]?

Oops

Sorry

pombear · 17/09/2018 21:53

No, you're right, if one more person asks me whether they should paint their hallway 'elephant's fawn breath grey' I'm off to buy a big pot of lime green paint and visit everyone with the top off Smile

pombear · 17/09/2018 21:54

Sorry, wrong thread. (Wipes brush)
