I see the crowd funding thread has been deleted. Message from MNHQ re not allowing campaigns not from registered charities etc.

Have I been had? Now panicking about doxxing etc. I just wanted to help. I'm not that savvy really Blush

Should I still donate, even if they've reached their target? I missed this thread, was too busy making sandwiches.

Yes! (And they’re not at target yet.)

Keeptrudging · 29/09/2018 10:29

Great! I've just donated, it was so quick I missed your post Grin

BesmirchingMotherhood · 29/09/2018 10:32

Boom! 💥

LangCleg · 29/09/2018 10:34

Bespin! You pushed it over the target! Well done, m'dear! Thank you!

0rlaith · 29/09/2018 10:38

Is that really £10,000 ? That’s amazing.

Keeptrudging · 29/09/2018 11:00

That's great they've reached their target and extended it for slow-coaches who might still want to add to it.

Molokonono · 29/09/2018 11:12

Excellent, will donate again next pay day.

Top work Bespin.

DuggeesWoggle · 29/09/2018 11:19

I do hope my thread hasn't helped raise £10,000 for FPFW. Wink

Seriously I think last night in Leeds shows just how much this campaign is needed - it shouldn't be considered transphobic for women to merely meet to discuss something that will have a huge impact on our rights. I am all for people living how they want to live and expressing themselves and their bodies the way they feel most comfortable but if we cannot even discuss the changes that are happening so rapidly and challenge where we see areas for concern then that is very worrying.

The more women are silenced - the more evident it is that real harm will happen to others - especially children. I can see that the figure is steadily increasing as I write. Brilliant!

Keeptrudging · 29/09/2018 12:29

If open, honest debate between all sides was allowed publically, women wouldn't need to be crowdfunding to get information out.

SophoclesTheFox · 29/09/2018 15:46

I mean you could donate to something to help people get media training

I think you might have got your Hateful Vagina Fetishists mixed up there, bespin. People have recently been suggesting that Posie Parker might benefit from media training (I disagree - I think she's great as is), so I assume that's what you are referring to.

However, this thread was about not donating to Fair Play For Women (spokeshero: Dr Nic Williams), not about not donating to Stand Up For Women (Posie Parker).

I mean, I'm sure you would want your passive-aggresive snidey insinuation that women raising money for this case are on the take to be aimed at the right woman, wouldn't you? I'm sure you wouldn't want to make completely unfounded accusations! HTH Smile

GladAllOver · 29/09/2018 16:09

Great to have you on side, Bespin!

Keeptrudging · 29/09/2018 18:51

Over £10,000 in 14 days is not to be sniffed at. I've seen a lot of crowdfunders on twitter which have barely made it to £100, despite being permanently on their pages. Funny that Hmm.

XXaghast · 29/09/2018 19:44

This thread has cheered me immensely and I am exceedingly glad HQ left it intact to not raise awareness Grin

UnderHerEye · 29/09/2018 21:13

Heartening to see Fair Play For Women smash their target!

It’s been an interesting week hasn’t it!

0rlaith · 30/09/2018 19:29

Just checking - is this the same #handsoffourrights campaign that successfully raised £10,815 with 362 supporters in 14 days?

0rlaith · 30/09/2018 19:29

Silly me

It’s #HandsOffMyRights

Keeptrudging · 30/09/2018 19:59

Yes, not to be confused with this one, obviously not posting a link.

Had a friend round today, showed her those videos on FairPlayToWomen which are brilliantly done.

Another supporter found.

EmpressAdultHumanFemale · 30/09/2018 21:30

I was out leafleting for #HandsOffMyRights today. It's so encouraging to see how many more people have heard of what we're talking about & are keen to know more.
