I love this. Particularly her point about cognitive dissonance.

I got to 'that's not even the worst thing' and had to stop for a bit. And she was right.

Posie is on of the GC women who I first encountered (online) and I think the reason she resonates with me is she articulates brilliantly exactly what the problems are, and why women need to start standing up for themselves and each other, and she cuts straight through the bullshit.

As a "newbie" I don't know much about Posie. I used her video on meeting her MP to help me approach my MP (thanks Rowan).

On Twitter there seems to be some discord between some of the radfems about her and I don't know why (sorry Posie if yr reading - not sure if you are on MN? I think you are brilliant by the way!)

Ah thank god for some common sense

Too many people think we have to agree 100% on everything in order to be united on some things. We don't. Posie gets that, and she is right.

Laughed my socks off and sent it to DD ahead of her seminar on transgender rights (she's doing a module on the politics of feminism or something). Suffice to say it was not well received. Naughty Mummy. God I hope she doesn't totally swallow the Kool Aid

Posie is a troublesome woman. She thinks for herself and refuses to stay in her box. I've not been a feminist very long, but if I had to say who I was styling for, it'd be Posie.

That was amazing. I'm a newbie too and that for me was the perfect explanation via rant of what the fuck is wrong with all this trans bullshit.

Gosh I feel so much better after watching that.

I have to add though, seeing all these women take in the cognitive dissonance bullshit reminds me of when I was a young child growing up in an Irish Catholic community (Northern Ireland). The priests were adored, especially by the women: women who were treated like shit even if they were fully compliant with all the bullshit. Non compliant women were seen as deranged and dangerous. As a child looking at this all I saw was men dressed weirdly giving orders and ruling everyone. The odd one was okay. AS A CHILD I KNEW it was BULLSHIT. What bothered me was the adults thinking it was all very normal.

As you can probably tell, I'm no longer a Catholic.
