Because let's be honest, we'll need it.

To answer a question from the last thread.

Some of Stonewall's LGB / bullying materials are really good. How can they jeopardise this work by ignoring safeguarding in this way?

Because poor Aimee had no idea that any of it was real and believed her convicted animal abuser and had no possible reason to think he was set up and entirely honest. And anyway she had no idea of how serious the accusations were. Poor Aimee.

(actually, the majority are younger women. It is the older men that I have seen being resistant to all of the "transphobia". NAOMALT of course)

doedoe90303811 · 09/09/2018 12:12

Sahra is also trans, btw.

Beyond, I imagine we've met before Wink

OrchidInTheSun · 09/09/2018 12:24

Sahra also can't spell her own name

doedoe90303811 · 09/09/2018 12:35

Sahra has conflicted feelings about being sexually harassed.

www.facebook.com/SahraRantsalotTaylor/posts/799343983559591

There's a comment there from a TW with a forehead big enough to land a 747 on who says 'I find it hard to explain how I feel in this. I want to assert and affirm my femininity but not on male expectations, yet crave validation. 😕'

Sahra got very angry at a man doing his job by cleaning up some crap Sahra left on the stairs so stole his keys, threw his stuff away, then went shopping to feel better but then got literally murdered when the shop assistant didn't realise they identified as a woman.

www.facebook.com/SahraRantsalotTaylor/posts/798079993685990

I am still trying to find out whether Sahra identifes as disabled as well as L, G, B, T, woman of colour, but I'm very sure she must.

BeyondAnOmnishambles · 09/09/2018 12:38

Ooo ominous, doe... Wink

Heartstones · 09/09/2018 13:01

Perhaps what the Green Party need is a full re-brand. Maybe even a new mascot....

I'm looking at Orville in a rather unfortunate light now, thanks Grin

Is there a really small babyfur (babyfeather?) bloke inside the suit, do you reckon? When we'd all assumed he was a puppet...? Shock

CesiraAndEnrico · 09/09/2018 14:14

Don't you dare drag Orville into this nest of fetish.

I've been disabused of many an illusion via these threads without one of my great childhood loves being whipped off me and reframed as a furry, nappy wearing, baby talking pervy mascot.

Here is the line

Drawn.

Orville stays the right side of it.

Heartstones · 09/09/2018 14:24

As the song goes "Orville, who is your very best friend? I'm going to help you mend, your broken heart".

Don't worry - Orville's PR person has confirmed that whilst they have been offered a new opportunity in the political sphere, Orville is far too busy now being a teenager, about to start at Goldsmiths, has long since ditched the nappies and is a goth.

All that remains is the safety pin which is now an eyebrow piercing.

Heartstones · 09/09/2018 14:25

And yes...Orville has dyed his fur black.

BeyondAnOmnishambles · 09/09/2018 14:35

If Orville is at goldsmiths, how long til Orvillina makes an appearance...?

Heartstones · 09/09/2018 14:38

Who can say? Though the PR agent (off the record) did seem to indicate that Orville's views on self id were generally critical - especially when it came to the appropriation of furryness.

birdsdestiny · 09/09/2018 14:40

Orville should not still be at university, he appeared in the eighties, he is heading towards 40.

Facknats · 09/09/2018 14:45

Doesn't this all point back to the elephant storming the room?

We know that a lot of trans identifying individuals experience ASD.

I also know from running various nerd events that furries/AB are, not to stereotype, but it is a thing, experiencing ASD.

Of course people with ASD should not be excluded from political discourse however they identify, but often the current political environment around trans women suggests to me an underlying inclusive gain which is not what it says it is and has unintended repercussions which we can now see materialising from Challenor and Maddigan's appointments.

Heartstones · 09/09/2018 14:45

It's the nature of his species.

He was a baby for nearly 20 years - they age very slowly.

Please don't be Ovrvillephobic.

BeyondAnOmnishambles · 09/09/2018 14:48

Ahem, I am autistic.

I'd argue that, in this, them all being male is probably more relevant than some being autistic...

But then I recognise my bias :)

Haworthia · 09/09/2018 15:31

Oh god, the fact Orville wears a nappy makes it all the more apt Grin

LangCleg · 09/09/2018 15:48

It's really rather simple - hands up who thinks a trans furry adult baby identity is the same person as a transsexual?

Nobody.

Quite frankly, I'm not interested in the demands of male people with multiple paraphilias because those are the very male people who present increased risk. They can just fuck right off to the far side of fuck.

I can have respectful discussions with transsexuals even though we may not agree on everything. Apples and oranges.

The number of recent incidents (Bradley, Challenors, White, et al) should have made this blindingly obvious to everybody. Even the most useless and pusillanimous of our legislators.

OlennasWimple · 09/09/2018 16:17

the one positive I can think of from the slew of recent events is that at least they happened before the GRA consultation closed, so we are able to reference them in our responses and so they can influence policy makers and politicians as they decide how to proceed

theOtherPamAyres · 09/09/2018 17:50

Doedoe - I think you are on the same wavelength as me Hmm. I was thinking out loud about how many of the Green Party trans/non-binary movers and shakers say that they are also disabled (Clare Phipps, Hannah Clare, Molly Arthurs, Lucas North).

I am intrigued about your preliminary research into the Trans S Taylor. With an aversion to heterosexual women, coupled with a determination to clear them out, and clear evidence of targetting female academics for sabotage - well, that sounds like just the kind of ambitious Green Party Executive for the job of Equality and Diversity co-ordinator.

I suspect that the GP is keeping very quiet about this new piece of information about their Executive's involvement in silencing women - in the hope that no-one linked Taylor to the GP.

Carrrotsandcauliflower · 09/09/2018 21:16

Ricky Gervais (who I love.) is on twitter asking for hot topics he can bring up in his recording for his comedy show #Deadlysirius

Carrrotsandcauliflower · 09/09/2018 21:17

Just saying

Facknats · 09/09/2018 21:27

BeyondAnAmnishambles:

I am too, which is how I recognise it :)

theOtherPamAyres · 12/09/2018 15:10

Filia has published a powerful statement about the Green Party.

Interestingly, the statement puts the blame on the party leadership for enabling the rise of a trans activist steeped in queer ideology. It concludes:

^The Green Party does not ‘stand up for democracy’, but on the contrary, in permitting a 20-year-old Equalities Spokesperson to propel a misogynistic agenda and to insult women with impunity if they dare question queer ideology, the Party has spectacularly failed to implement its own declared aims, namely dignity, equality, social justice and human rights for all.

Dr. Heather Brunskell-Evans
FiLiA Spokeswoman^
