Because let's be honest, we'll need it.

To answer a question from the last thread.

Some of Stonewall's LGB / bullying materials are really good. How can they jeopardise this work by ignoring safeguarding in this way?

Because poor Aimee had no idea that any of it was real and believed her convicted animal abuser and had no possible reason to think he was set up and entirely honest. And anyway she had no idea of how serious the accusations were. Poor Aimee.

Why do politicians keep clinging to this top-down stance when 8 out of 10 voters apparently don't really agree with self-ID (according to PinkNews!)?

TimeLady · 06/09/2018 16:30

I hope those Green adult babies are saving the planet by using terry nappies and a bucket of Napisan.

This seems to be the sort of thing they like, TimeLady

It feels like this ideology is spreading everywhere

There was an ad last night on Ch4 (I think) for the OU. One of its selling points was "I am trans and going to the OU helped me come out..." No problem, part of going to university is about finding yourself/your tribe/maturing. I would hope though universities would think the priority when selling themselves would be academic reputation & course content.

I deeply regret that I know this, but, no. Disposables with patterns are favoured judging by some selfies reproduced on Twitter.

Slightly curious about the model there - 'oh hi Wayne, we've got a modelling job for you' 'Great, who is it for? 'Adult babies'

According to the Guardian interview, and apparently mentioned elsewhere, AC is reading PPE with the OU.

DH used to have a colleague whose 2nd job was as a fitness model. Imagine eating all that broccoli, chicken, and oats, plus working out x2 a day to keep your sixpack with early bedtime and unflagging self-discipline for years on end to be offered a gig like that.

heresyandwitchcraft · 06/09/2018 16:42

On the topic of AC specifically, though, did we already talk about this article about AC protesting Henley College Coventry's automatic block on some LGBT websites due to automatic software?
Full disclaimer: it is obviously beyond the pale to limit access to actual gay rights sites.
In hindsight.... AIBU to have a few questions as to AC's public protest of the filtering system/safeguards? The article demonstrates Stonewall supporting AC as well...

Excerpt:

However, Ms Challenor said many sites — such as Birmingham LGBT centre and London Pride — were still being blocked by the filter system for “uncategorised” reasons.

She said she was “pleased that it’s not the college being homophobic”.

“My message to other colleges would be to tell them to make sure their software meets the law as well, to make sure this isn’t repeated,” said Ms Challenor.

Mr Goy said ongoing website blocks of LGBT sites were caused by the software’s interpretation of the website, not necessarily because of the college itself.

“Not all sites — and particularly many of the smaller ones — are ‘categorised’ within the content-filtering software,” he said.

“As a matter of safeguarding, we block such uncategorised sites as we have no idea what material they might contain.”

But, he said: “These sites can be unblocked by request as were the LBGT sites.”

Someone called David Challenor on LinkedIn apparently used to work in IT at Henley College Coventry between 1989-1998.

When not even the wanton use of disposables with patterns can make the Green Party rethink their radical inclusiveness, all hope is lost. For the party and the planet.

doedoe90303811 · 06/09/2018 16:46

heresyandwitchcraft AC had previously complained about certain, ahem, websites being blocked

Why do politicians keep clinging to this top-down stance when 8 out of 10 voters apparently don't really agree with self-ID (according to PinkNews!)?

Because they are authoritarian and they don't care about consensus or building consensus.

The don't care about debating an issue to consider the merits of a policy.

Why?

Because their ideology has already decided this, and applied a good/bad moral value to that policy. There is only a black / white narrative because this is social media friendly and precisely because it restricts debate which brings about nuisance and moderation.

Moderation is seen as weakness. It weakens the ideological purity.

Ideological purity also creates a power structure - those who decide policy as an elite - and those who obey policy as the subjugated. For those who are involved in protecting that policy from 'impure' debate there is reward in power. They are hailed as virtuous and hailed as brave warriors against tyranny.

When actually the tyranny is what is coming from above to enforce a policy without debate and without thought to its actual consequences in reality and against the best interests of the population as a whole.

The utopian ideological goal is more important than the well being of the population because of who that dynamic confers power on.

The extremes of politics are always self serving. They are always particularly harmful to women, as women are outside power structures for various reasons - often relating to biology.

Denying that women are outside these power structures tends to further extremism. And so you will see various ways to give the illusion that women are in leadership roles and thought about, when they aren't really if you scratch the surface of it.

Keep following this pattern. It's happening all over the place because there is a political vacuum and there are various forces now vying to take over. All of whom are in it for themselves and not for whoever they are claiming to represent.

We had peace because power was stable. We don't anymore and the whole shabang is a free for all.

And its going to get a lot worse yet.

Watching with growing Shock at all this. At th risk of tmi can someone enlighten me on ‘furry’?

Wouldn't surprise me if she decamped to Aberdeen on a permanent basis and became a full time member of the Scot Greens.

MyAuntyBadger · 06/09/2018 16:58

doedoe, were any of those people female at birth?

TimeLady · 06/09/2018 17:11

The Green Party did a report condemning disposable nappies

sashh · 06/09/2018 17:12

Complaining about blocked sites. I once tried to use Mumsnet in a school and it was blocked.

And this wasn't personal use either, I wanted to use it in a lesson.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 06/09/2018 17:22

Fiona's role in all of this is quite unclear but seems to help younger people find their true trans furry adult baby identity

I find this very disturbing. Both that two half-brothers were "inducted" by this individual (hopefully not at the same time), and the age differences and power differences involved.

doedoe90303811 · 06/09/2018 17:31

MyAuntyBadger - no, none of them.

BoreOfWhabylon · 06/09/2018 17:35

Thanks doedoe

Here's where I saw the A/K/N connection, also saw it elsewhere stated by Aimee but can't find it now

"I find this very disturbing. Both that two half-brothers were "inducted" by this individual (hopefully not at the same time), and the age differences and power differences involved."

Well yes.

At the time Aimee was not yet identifying as female, and was in contact with MANY significantly older men and transwomen (beastly ciswomen strangely absent, funny that). The 14yo Aimee (who wasn't yet Aimee), was invited to guest blog on 'My Adult Baby Diaper Life' by a man 11 years older than them, and has Skype contact and what not with different men through these various sites.

doedoe90303811 · 06/09/2018 17:42

" At th risk of tmi can someone enlighten me on ‘furry’?"

A furry is someone who role plays that they are a cute animal. Lots of it takes place online using anime-style drawings

Aimee's half-sibling attached in their fur suit.

Looks cute, but slightly disturbing when those involved role play (privately, presumably) as adult babies.

There's a sort of cross over between furry and adult baby as a 'babyfur', so the babyfur anime character might be pictured wearing a nappy or whatever, and the adult owner will have fetishes about wetting themselves in a nappy & so on, as well as talking in babytalk to their 'master' while pretending to be an animal

I assume by the way those are just random people in the mall, and in itself if people are a bit shy and like to go out in public in animal costumes than good luck to them, but when they identify as adult babies as well and everything is linked to fetish, it's all rather blurred.
