Because let's be honest, we'll need it.

To answer a question from the last thread.

Some of Stonewall's LGB / bullying materials are really good. How can they jeopardise this work by ignoring safeguarding in this way?

Because poor Aimee had no idea that any of it was real and believed her convicted animal abuser and had no possible reason to think he was set up and entirely honest. And anyway she had no idea of how serious the accusations were. Poor Aimee.

This was the guy who took a more pro-GC stance after the elections were over, right ?

I think the poster Rachel was pointing out the irony of being blocked by a person who was demanding examination of the GP's association with Blockers.

I get the impression that his suspension happened before the scandal. If so, it would be reasonable for him to block GP members that he no longer wanted to engage with or hear from.

IamalsoSpartacus · 07/09/2018 15:24

So it's pretty clear from the research many people have posted to twitter that AC enjoys 'adult baby' sex games.

Another politician with leadership ambitions who had an unusual taste in sex was Mark Oaten. Media didn't hold back on him in the slightest when it was revealed that he enjoed being humiliated by male escorts. His political career was ruined.

What's the difference here, apart from the teflon "brave and stunning" sheild?

NotAnotherFeckingMuftiDay · 07/09/2018 16:36

Mark Oaten made an unsuccessful attempt to become Lib Dem leader in 2006 shortly before the sex scandal broke. His agent was Edward Lord.

@ohbuggerandarse

Well done. The whole thread must be a wake up call for Patrick Harvie. (he 'liked' the tweet from Cass McGregor, then unliked it)

I thought this tweet was good:

Former green voting Scot here, you won’t be getting my vote again with your anti -science, anti woman, pro prostitution and pro-sex abuser stance. Disappear into obscurity. Anyone canvassing will get their lugs burned.

There is an amazing thread from a senior Green, Theo Simon (Frome, Somerset).

Theo's responses are pretty good, but Darren Johnson whose tweet it follows on from was a Green Party London Assembly Member and is also gay, so he's potentially influential. Tweet:

"While I am 100% in favour of challenging and subverting gender stereotypes I do not believe males can become female and I do not believe females can become male. If this gets me expelled from @TheGreenParty after 31 years then so be it."

He's getting some grief but appears to be holding firm and has apologised for not saying something sooner. There are other "senior" people in the party who might not be overtly agreeing with him but are defending his right to free speech. And lots of other agreeing with him of course. This is good news. I wonder whether it leaves Olivia.

numberseven · 07/09/2018 17:57

Wait, so Aimee's friends moderate actuallesbians??? I'm starting to think the TRA circles are really small (and surprisingly influential).

2BorNot2Bvocal · 07/09/2018 20:54

NotAnotherFecking that's an interesting article. EL was shocked!

theOtherPamAyres · 07/09/2018 21:14

@NotaFeckingDay Thanks. If anyone is still looking at links and trails, then Edward Lord, Liberal Democrat, is the name that keeps coming up time and again, for the wrong reasons.

(Mark Oaten resigned over a prostituted man)

From the article:

Edward Lord, his election agent, said he had been 'shocked' by the disclosures but insisted they had not affected his political duties:

'From what I know of Mark, I think this was an aberration. We are a liberal party and for the party and its members, Mark's private life was just that. His performance, I don't think, was ever affected by any of these issues.'

He was shocked. Shocked, I tell you!

theOtherPamAyres · 07/09/2018 21:23

According to Wikipedia, Oaten and prostituted men indulged in coprophilia. Something to do with shitting.

There seems to be a lot of literal shit around the men on the Left.

Alicethroughtheblackmirror · 08/09/2018 14:55

We have another one!

mobile.twitter.com/Brummy/status/1038356915942772736

This charmer on Jess Phillips' thread discussing Karen White was a Green Party candidate, lives in Coventry and is a medical student.

Alicethroughtheblackmirror · 08/09/2018 15:03

Arrrgh, he doesn't see the relevance of genitalia for rape or seem to understand that males have anatomical advantages over females above and beyond "weight". He's going to be a doctor!

Claims that trans women are as capable of assault as, wait for it, 'cis' women. Not men. Obviously. Does he know what happened in his local party?

Juells · 08/09/2018 15:12

He's incapable of using the word 'woman' without qualifying it to show how trans friendly he is. Don't you just love how all these woke bros bang on about violent women? Hands up anyone here who's ever expected to be sexually assaulted by a woman?

theOtherPamAyres · 08/09/2018 15:27

Does he know what happened in his local party?

The Young Greens are starting to experience a strange phenomenon: the tweets that used to get a round of applause are being derided and mocked.

One tweeted that Darren Johnson (the senior and respected Green) would be sorry once he felt the backlash from a party united against transphobia. He demanded a full apology, withdrawal, and a time of reflection for Darren.

His censorious, lofty tone was rather similar to Witch-doctor Haddock's.

I don't think he knows what's hit him yet. Grin

RedToothBrush · 08/09/2018 15:41

Does he know what happened in his local party?

He surely would have known David Challenor and Tina Challenor. What with Tina being membership secretary. Is Tina still acting in that role?

WorkingItOutAsIGo · 08/09/2018 16:21

Is this the same Edward Lord of swimming pool fame?

WorkingItOutAsIGo · 08/09/2018 16:25

Bloody hell it is. Murkier and murkier.

NotAnotherFeckingMuftiDay · 08/09/2018 17:00

Yes, it's the same Edward Lord of Hampstead Ponds fame. He was also previously the Chair of Swim England who wrote the trans swimming guidelines that inspired ManFriday.

BeyondAnOmnishambles · 09/09/2018 01:49

EL again ?? My, my...

theOtherPamAyres · 09/09/2018 09:55

One member of the Facebook group, Sahra Rae Taylor, stood by her contribution to the list. She said: “That way we can advise people applying that ‘if you want to study law, then don’t go to these places’. Which would allow them at least to avoid being taught (and marked, and under the influence in some way) by a transphobic douchebag.
(Times Article on Academic smears)

Sahrar Taylor was a member of the Green Party Executive, with the Equality and Diversity portfolio, until recent elections. Had stood for a position on the Disciplinary Committee in 2015.

In any other party, Taylor would be kicked out for being a key figure in organised harassment. What's the Green Party going to do?

Juells · 09/09/2018 09:57

It's like some weird secret society where they all know each other, and are determined to destroy the very idea of 'women'. They seem to have fingers in every pie.

CesiraAndEnrico · 09/09/2018 11:11

You know about the dark stuff getting potentially even darker.

Let's hope this is as black night as it gets.

oh dear lord these creatures are ridiculous.

They actually believe this shit

www.facebook.com/younggreens/posts/this-conference-i-stood-for-two-committee-positionsdispute-resolutionequality-an/967613916593107/

"The more I thought about it though, the more I realised that it is the culture of the Green Party that needs to change - that the problems concerning sexism, harassment, transphobia etc are a part of cis-hetero-normativity."

"The Green Party is approaching a crisis situation. If attitudes between old guard/new wave aren't dealt with, then the party will fracture (in fact I can already see the start of this). I really can't bear to have that happen. Promoting equality and diversity is the only way I can see this being managed and prevented."

So basically she wants to purge all the beastly old women from the party and replace them woke bros and hand maidens.

Scum the lot of them.

BeyondAnOmnishambles · 09/09/2018 12:07

More fucking ageism from the ever so woke. Angry

Funny how they didn't add that to their list of nasty -isms...

(note woke green idiot - I'm not old. Neither are a lot of the people I have seen raise their heads above the parapet in green groups over the last week)

BeyondAnOmnishambles · 09/09/2018 12:08

Doedoe, are you the twitter doedoe? Nice to meet you :)
