A twitter account is saying that stickers in Manchester Oxford Road station have razor blades behind them put there by TERFS. If you are terfblocked you won't be able to view.

I'm a little concerned about where certain people may have acquired their encyclopedic knowledge of how to use razor blades of various types to hurt people. Don't think I really want to engage with someone with those sorts of interests.

I looked at Snopes, the safety razor in my hand, and a razor blade store. It's fairly easy.

I have a stinging, bleeding paper cut on my thumb. Ouch!

It's really hard to get these stickers off their backing paper without cutting myself.

Nurse! Can I have a Peppa Pig plaster, please.

I mean what's the chances of that happening?
OMG I'm triggered. I was so sure it had happened! Now I'm doubting myself because:

It's an old urban myth
The chance of the "wrong person" getting hurt is very high
There are no injuries consistent with a razor blade behind fingernails (yes I cringed writing it too)
Despite linking to DE blades early in this thread, 404 then thought it was "big, cut throat blades like in barbers"
Barbers don't use these
Now it's DE blades..?
Even if someone was to place razors behind stickers they're likely to hurt themselves doing do
CCTV will show nothing
Unless you can pinpoint the exact time a sticker was placed, and know this for certain, and there's only one person in the whole toilet facility at that time, and you can somehow identify them from CCTV and you're willing to spend this much time on it because OMG sticker, this is a non story full of lies, and the police are going to have to put up with a massive amount of online screeching about it...

I've got some that are neon colored?

(Plasters, not razors. Most people don't carry the latter around.)

And once again, I find myself pondering my belief that Kleenex will never go out of business for no apparent reason.

But it wasn't you that spoke to the police? You are only reporting back what these two people said the police said, right? So second hand information, with no corroboration that the police were ever really spoken to.

And if we know there's no cctv in a public toilet - and 'and stuff' isn't very police - sounding ... what you're actually going by is the factually incorrect statement of a person on the internet.

Do you even know these people in real life? Or are they just twitter friends (i.e complete strangers)

If a sticker big enough to conceal one of those fits in Shon Faye's hands then they must be massive. Which would be odd, as Shon looks like a fairly small person.

My apologies, I was mistaken when I was talking about straight razor blades, I meant DE but wasn't sure what the correct term was. Straight blades are possible, but wouldn't have the same effect, I'd assume.

They're literally machetes, producing the literal cuts you can't see in the non-existent photos.

Icantreachthepretzels I linked Greater Manchester Police's reply earlier in the thread. With regards to NC, that was where the razor blade technique was first used, behind white supremacist stickers.

A few said they were glad they always carried their multitool around. If it's a Leatherman type, the blade locks and that makes it illegal to carry without lawful authority or reasonable excuse. Nice to know paranoid TRAs are armed, though..Confused

I heard there was a rush on razor blades at the Asda.

A stampede of middle aged women crashing down the shaving aisle.

And all so disappointed to find nobody stocks them any more.

But do know where they could get them from?

The Woke Bloke Shave website. Strange that.

I heard that some of the stickers have been irradiated by the Russians. Just a heads up in case you remove one and find your hair and teeth falling out a few days later.

FFS.

Feminists accused of this, and yet in the biggest GC feminist group in the area, with 1200 members, there has barely been any discussion of the penis stickers. I haven’t seen any at all in Manchester, and Oxford Rd station is on the same road and within a mile of two student unions. Adult feminists did this? I don’t think so.

But, but, but - haven't Fathers4Justice and their MRA acolytes covertly been guarding the razor blades at Asda while ostensibly throwing tantrums with Coco Pops?

I'm Shock that anything got past those sharpest knives in the box.

North Carolina is where “Zoey” lives. Astonishingly both these discoveries of razors happed in different continents at the same time to two trans people.

One of the people claiming to have been cut by a razor is in North Carolina. The other is presumably in Manchester. I got them mixed up, must be my poor lady brain.
