Razor blades and stickers again

A twitter account is saying that stickers in Manchester Oxford Road station have razor blades behind them put there by TERFS. If you are terfblocked you won't be able to view.

The 'Hive of mums and villainy' has to be in the shape of a light saber, or an elongated Jabba the Hut, surely.

I have no sense of graphic design. That said, I'm seeing a hive in which each cell contains a viper or a we have a nest of vipers eyeing up a hive. We need something to put across mums and villainy but I'm only coming up with the Queen from Aliens.

Hives of villainy - bees with swag bags of stickerwomanstickers and raccoon eyes?

Women saying, "Are you going out dressed like that?

I should hone my cultural references.

BettyDuMonde · 11/09/2018 20:33

I might get a ‘hive of mum’s and villainy’ tattoo.

Or maybe a Mumsnet viper one.

FloralBunting · 11/09/2018 20:59

For them as needs help with their cultural references.

Just been perusing some forums for pure entertainment purposes (yes, I do manage to squeeze in entertainment between organising radicalisation portals, work and praying thousands of rosaries).

I was astonished to discover a thread talking about the stickers, reporting it as fact and even though there was some skepticism from a few, the person who posted it was really quite keen for it to be true (which was pointed out well by another poster). It was mildly heartening to see the lack of gleeful engagement, there were enough voices on the thread taking the idea as factoid to really drive home the damage these lies can do in the long term to the perception of things.

MrsFogi · 12/09/2018 21:58

Well I can guarantee that none of the 24 StickerWoman happens to put up in the areas I visit each day has anything more dangerous than double sided tape (or sometimes the wonderful Gorilla tape) behind them Grin.

arranfan · 12/09/2018 22:34

Those of us who were present for "radicalisation portal construction" during hate school should shine our badges or whatever virtual thing you choose (because we all failed Organisation 101 and didn't agree on badges or anything Blush ).

Take a bow because there is not only a thread on Twitter praising Mumsnet for opening eyes to GRA, self-ID and the intersection with women's rights:

A few, short months ago I was blissfully unaware of the chaos surrounding changes to the GRA and the, quite frankly, ludicrous suggestions of self ID. I wandered on to the FWR boards of Mumsnet, a site I’d been a member of for many years.

But, one of the replies in the thread is:

#RadicalisedByMumsnet

Mumsnet raises awareness so well - which is precisely why the TAs do want us gone. Remember how TAs snuck through the GRA 2004 "without anyone throwing a fit in the press" ?

Well, that's what they wanted to do this time. Only on MN - they can't silence us. They can't shout bigot, transphobe, well, they can, but it will be deleted. They can only read the well-evidenced gender critical posts that centre women and feminism. < That's the 'transphobia' - women centreing women. Women refusing to centre males in their feminism.

The horror! Grin

Mumsnet is not what the TAs say - it not a vile pool of transphobia - evidenced by the fact that they have to fucking lie about what's happening:

  • that "bring back section 28" post - written by a trans-activist support - screenshot on twitter as "evidence".

-That "make them wear purple badges" - another sarcastic post by a transactivist supporter. Screenshot on twitter as evidence we're all nazis.

  • Razor blades behind stickers - all proven to be lies by the BTP and train companies.
BettyDuMonde · 12/09/2018 23:08

I assumed Mumsnet must be boring, all baby names and shopping coupons and fancy pram adverts and had never visited at it all... until I read elsewhere that it was a ‘hotbed of transphobic bigots’. As that didn’t seem particularly likely, I thought I better check it out for myself. What I actually found was a bunch of witty, forthright women, some mums, some not, and a few concerned transsexual people talking about safeguarding issues whilst constantly being interrupted by weird, goady, gaslight-y science deniers... And a LOT of recipes.

Oh, and the Midnight Misogynist!

DickTERFin · 14/09/2018 19:08

If we're creating portals of any kind can we please dance around in our shifts like this, a bit?

I'm quite partial to some woo woo nonsense in the woods and they're going to call us witches anyway so...? Pleeeeeeease?!

ChattyLion · 14/09/2018 19:36

Totally agree- the TRAs’ arguments fall apart any time there’s a direct question asked. The more women who read the discussion of issues that affect them on MN, the more women who ask questions..! Smile

Radfem art about the stickers!

ErrolTheDragon · 16/09/2018 18:54

Did someone want a portal?

TheChampagneGalop · 16/09/2018 19:15

It's an invisible portal?

arranfan · 16/09/2018 20:44

It's an invisible portal?

Pshaw! Invisible!?! Doesn't begin to cover the portal. It's inter-continental, and the more advanced designs incorporate radicalisation and inter-dimensionality.

When we run an online hate group course we don't mess about. I mean we do - but our physics puts Star Trek to shame.

BlackeyedSusan · 17/09/2018 00:54

WWWAaaahh.....h...h

ErrolTheDragon · 17/09/2018 08:56

That one was an invisible portal invoking the spirit of bewilderness (it's not just a blank post) Grin

BettyDuMonde · 17/09/2018 09:49

Excellent portal action.

SunsetBeetch · 05/02/2019 06:53

And here we go again. Now the claims are from Glasgow.

twitter.com/scottagnew/status/1091393762247540736?s=19

A friend just posted this - I know the original poster so this is not a hoax however they do not wish to be named for fear of recriminations - please be careful if you see these TERF stickers around town.

“Glasgow... t.co/Yjd9JUUY58

He's also called women 'cunts'. What a charmer. Looks like a couple of people have tweeted Glasgow Police to check the veracity of the claims. I'll eat all the hats if there's any truth to this.

NotTerfNorCis · 05/02/2019 07:04

Well that chap waded into an issue he doesn't understand, and now he's calling women cunts and terfs rather than listen to them. Oh but he 'loves women' so that's ok.

Katvonfelttipeyebrows · 05/02/2019 07:17

The comments on that Facebook thread are hilarious.

ToeToToe · 05/02/2019 07:19

Some great replies though:

"This is nothing. My neighbour's dog (who I've taken for walks, so I know this story is mega legit) says that she was picking off an anti-feminist sticker which said 'Fuck off and die TERFs' on it. As she peeled it off, underneath were an entire gang of meth gobbling hobos armed to the teeth ; which had been cunningly concealed there by TRAs. When the sticker was removed, they jumped out and stabbed her. Good job she was expecting this and wore her stabproof vest that day! Be careful folks, trans rights activist stickers are dangerous!!!"

"Ugh, that's my street, this is fucking gross. I hope I catch someone putting them up."

  • "Be sure to get the faintest shred of evidence if you do, as it will be a first. 🙄"
Grin
Apollo440 · 05/02/2019 07:21

Someone needs to call the police as this would be an ACTUAL hate crime. And since the person who told them about the razors is a good friend of his, he will have no issue trouble providing their name so the police can interview them about the crime. Unless of course they are lying. Now that would be embarrassing to people with such a track record of integrity.

DisrespectfulAdultFemale · 05/02/2019 08:08

This is one of the best tweets I have ever seen:

"These TERF stickers are hate crimes committed by bioessentialist cis privileged transmisogynists and it is time the police took them seriously or there will be rioting to stop suicides"

nauticant · 05/02/2019 08:33

I liked this convincing exchange on FB:

Emma Soanes This is just heartbreakingly vile. Is someone reporting? There must be CCTV around there? x

Scott Agnew Emma Soanes I'll pass that on to my friend - not sure if they have reported it.

Well, no, they wouldn't have, would they.
