Thanks for the update LadyBrian.

Can I just say: that demonstration would do nicely outside BBC Broadcasting House.

BeUpStanding · 26/09/2018 12:24

David Davies stated that the treatment of Venice and Linda (and other women speaking out with concerns about the GRA) constitutes harassment. He said he will continue to raise the issue in parliament

GenderApostate · 26/09/2018 12:25

Gulag - that sign is just amazing isn’t it?

Skepticat has just told me that Guiliana was self-representing in court. I thought there was a big name law firm involved?

Charliethefeminist · 26/09/2018 12:25

So fired up by this. Viva.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 26/09/2018 12:27

Do Bellos and Allen have legal representation?

BreakWindandFire · 26/09/2018 12:27

A large crowd - I was glad to be there and to meet a couple of other mumsnetters.

Apparently the prosecution objected to Linda wearing a suffragette hankerchief in her breast pocket. The judge refused to make her remove it.

Good for the judge.

GenderApostate · 26/09/2018 12:31

‘Objected to suffrage colours’
OMG what an utter knob.

daughterofanarchy · 26/09/2018 12:33

So sad I couldn’t be there to show support, baby and a three hour trek on trains held me back. Thank you all who were able to attend and represent us all

daughterofanarchy · 26/09/2018 12:34

Want to be recognised as women but object to the suffragettes?! 🤨

GenderApostate · 26/09/2018 12:34

Harropp has the twitter hashtag #flowers for Giuliana 🤣😂🤪

AsAProfessionalFekko · 26/09/2018 12:36

What happened? (I'm in meetings Shhhhhhh)

redshoeblueshoe · 26/09/2018 12:38

Fecko it's been chucked back to the CPS

ThefusilliJerry · 26/09/2018 12:40

Does that mean passed back to cps for decision on whether to continue?

redshoeblueshoe · 26/09/2018 12:43

That's my understanding Jerry, but I hope someone can clarify that

Andtheresaw · 26/09/2018 12:43

I don't understand.
In Jean Hatchett's twitter post, they came out of court and people stepped forward to film and photograph them while they spoke. But no-one rushed forward to knock the cameras from their hands or punch and kick them.
Angry women but no physical violence? #justsaying

hackmum · 26/09/2018 12:45

I was there. Lovely to meet so many fabulous women. Great to see David Davies there too - puts Labour politicians to shame.

LadyBrianAdultHumanFemale · 26/09/2018 12:45

It does seem odd that there's nobody there's supporting the other side.

LadyBrianAdultHumanFemale · 26/09/2018 12:46

But the reason they didn't protest us in Plymouth was apparently cos they were scared of us. Most odd.

ToeToToe · 26/09/2018 12:49

Perhaps they were scared your faces would hurt their fists, LadyBrian?

Knicknackpaddyflak · 26/09/2018 12:49

Gulag Grin

Unfuckingbelievable about the suffrage handkerchief being somehow 'offensive' - very pleased the judge was having none of it.

2rebecca · 26/09/2018 12:56

Glad the judge was sensible, great to see so many women there. Shame it drags on for Linda and Venice
