They're still at court Witch

ScrimshawTheSecond · 26/09/2018 11:35

Hearing adjourned for several weeks, says Skepticat on twitter.

LadyBrianAdultHumanFemale · 26/09/2018 11:39

Just seen that, what a bloody nightmare for Venice and Linda Flowers

LadyBrianAdultHumanFemale · 26/09/2018 11:41

A tweet says 'flipped back to CPS'

MacaroonMama · 26/09/2018 11:42

I thought CPs wouldn’t take it, hence the private prosecution?

LittleLebowski · 26/09/2018 11:44

Apparently it's going to be adjourned till Nov 30th.

LadyBrianAdultHumanFemale · 26/09/2018 11:44

Anyone can take out a private prosecution but the CPS/DPP has the right to take over, and can then decide whether to pursue.

StealthNinjaMum · 26/09/2018 11:45

I THInk they won but I can't hear. Lots of cheering. Linda is speaking.

What does 'flipped back to cps' mean? In legal terms - does it mean the judge thinks the cps should take it over? Or dismiss it out of hand?

Obviously it should be the latter one.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 26/09/2018 11:46

Does that mean the CPS could decide not to pursue? Why would it have been flipped back to them?

LittleLebowski · 26/09/2018 11:47

David Davis MP here outside standing up for free speech - a woman wearing one of the women t-shirts was asked to leave the public gallery - judge refused!

BettyDuMonde · 26/09/2018 11:50

Linda and Venice looking like the kick ass adult-human-females they are in that photo.

Looking forward to hearing the details. Should make for yet another incredulous story for the Times/Spectator/Telegraph to report on.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 26/09/2018 11:51

a woman wearing one of the women t-shirts was asked to leave the public gallery

By whom?

HavelockVetinari · 26/09/2018 11:51

I can't believe I'm missing it! I'm literally round the corner waiting for a job interview!

So what's happening, do they have to go back to court?

CecilyNeville · 26/09/2018 11:51

Do you know what type of person asked the woman in the gallery to leave? (I mean, an official, or just a member of the public?)

ToeToToe · 26/09/2018 11:53

Ha! Grin

Asked by Gooliana?

Beerincomechampagnetastes · 26/09/2018 11:53

Shock asked to leave??

I really hope the judge has sense as it sounds...

TigerDrankAllTheWaterInTheTap · 26/09/2018 11:54

What a bummer that it wasn't just kicked out. Good about the t-shirt though. 30th November is a Friday. Would hope to be able to go if that's the date.

StealthNinjaMum · 26/09/2018 11:57

Ignore my last post, I was wrong as others said it is going back to cps.

BettyDuMonde · 26/09/2018 12:00

CPS aren’t going to think prosecuting a pensioner for saying some words is a good use of the public purse. They didn’t last time they were asked, and if anything, the tide is now with women, not against us.

LadyBrianAdultHumanFemale · 26/09/2018 12:01

You'd hope so Betty bit we are living in strange fucked up times when fact is hate.

Datun · 26/09/2018 12:02

Can you expand on this?

Very nice of David TC Davis to be there, good for him.

I’m curious: at what point will they have grounds for a counter claim of malicious harassment? This case was utterly spurious; theirs will not be.
