Thread 2 - Anti-trans vandals are plastering vile ‘women don’t have penises’ stickers around THE WORLD

First thread

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights/3331514-anti-trans-vandals-are-plastering-vile-women-don-t-have-penises-stickers-around-london

I'm optimistic this will spill over to most of the MSM soon, and keep on being a snowball, gathering momentum and mass, as it rolls down the snowy mountain of bullshit forced upon us all.

So here is thread 2, ready & waiting for the speed to pick up.

Sorry- Lib Dem’s.

CesiraAndEnrico · 28/08/2018 08:40

and wonder whether that is deliberate, or whether Labour and Lib Dem politicians refused to comment.

Is there nobody from those teams who have publically raised even a small hand against the party line ?

Totally agree with you CesiraAndEnrico.

This is an existential threat to women. We need to win. I will take any allies. It doesn't mean I have to agree with any other opinion they have.

That's just barking. And most of the reason that so many people accept the TRA dogma without question - because it it perceived as 'Left' or 'progressive', when in fact it is regressive totalitarian misogynist bullshit

hackmum · 28/08/2018 09:51

Caroline Flint (Labour) is gender-critical. I can't think at the moment of any Lib Dem who has spoken out against self-ID, which is a bit depressing.

This is a war on women. I don't really care who my allies are, within reason. The Labour Party didn't refuse to enter a coalition government during WW2 because it was led by a Tory. They saw the bigger picture. (And yeah, Godwin's Law, but I don't care.)

PositivelyPERF · 28/08/2018 10:13

I can’t stand Jacob Rees-Mogg. His ignorance about the Irish border issue and his contempt of the people of Ireland, North and South, is breathtaking.

However, we need politicians from ALL backgrounds to support women and children. By ignoring/excluding those with other opinions, that we don’t like, we exclude their supporters. I’m sure, even their supporters don’t agree with EVERYTHING they say, but hopefully will support them on this issue.

TimeLady · 28/08/2018 14:28

I'm a paid up Conservative member but no fan of JRM. However, he has a lot of grassroots support from men who profess to dislike feminists and won't listen to what they say, so it will do the GC cause no harm to have him onside.

BlackeyedSusan · 29/08/2018 16:41

Where have people seen stickers? Are they mainly in London/Liverpool and big cities or dotted around the country in random towns?

Procrastinator1 · 29/08/2018 17:16

There is a thread about Ian Hislop's radio 4 programme, "I object"which mentions the suffragettes and the "votes for women" painstakingly engraved on coins. I also liked the teapot with a tiny 45 under the spout.

I'm sure it's illegal to deface a coin as it is bank notes, but I was thinking that small circular stickers with the iconic penis and legend would be useful. We could stick them on envelopes, use as lapel badges, stick them on teapots, on the leaflets with more information to tie them into the women don't have penises brand, if that's what it is etc.

Sorry if someone has already produced such a thing and I have missed it but if they haven't, Cesira, do you think that you could help? What you have done so far has been absolutely brilliant.

EndoplasmicReticulum · 29/08/2018 19:48

Susan the one I spotted last week was not London, more like "dotted around the country in random towns".

CesiraAndEnrico · 29/08/2018 19:56

Cesira, do you think that you could help?

Yes. Am recovering from airport run and sending my "baby" to England. But if somebody can give me an idea of dimensions, I can run up sheets in all preferred colours, styles and slogans, in the morning.

I think it is a very clever idea.

Size of £2 coin, maybe?

CesiraAndEnrico · 29/08/2018 20:20

What's that in Euros ? Grin

How big are they ? I know the 50p (unless you've changed it.) Is it about that size but round ?

OP posts:
AndYetItMoves · 29/08/2018 20:30

Yes, it's very slightly bigger.

50p is 27.5mm
£2 is 28.4mm

Procrastinator1 · 29/08/2018 20:41

A one pound coin is roughly 2.3 cm in diameter. It has a ridge and is not completely round anymore, so 2cm in diameter might be useful.

Hope you're not missing baby Cesira too much.

CesiraAndEnrico · 29/08/2018 20:43

Ok, perfect. Does anybody know what limitations I have to work within (in terms of graphic/vocab) according to the British PO "bylaws" about what can and cannot appear on an envelope?

OP posts:
MrsFogi · 29/08/2018 21:57

The Hislop thread is also talking about writing on banknotes which seems an easy addition to stickering.....

Procrastinator1 · 29/08/2018 22:37

I was thinking of something like a football club badge with an original type penis in the middle with a boarder and women don't have penises or a penis around the edge.
Perhaps we are going to have to put them inside the flap of an envelope to avoid any charges concerned with sending obscene stuff through the post.
Some small cartoon penises might also be good, like the happy green one, less obscene perhaps
Do you think stickers would stick to banknotes and if so and could be removed, would this constitute defacing a bank note? I'll see if anything sticks to these new plastic banknotes tomorrow.
The man in the British Museum video did say that one of the problems with the suffragette coins was getting them into general circulation.

CesiraAndEnrico · 30/08/2018 05:45

like the happy green one

If I cut out the green willy with a circle, so he's castrated and his tip gets chopped off, he is not obscene by any standard. He is cute.

And "women don't have male members" is non-offensive.

I can make proper willies with wdhp for inside the envelope flap and some "not immediately obvious, have to think about it, then let brain join dots on the missing parts of the image" utterly inoffensive ones for the outside of the evenvelope.

Will knock out some options today.

“Caroline Flint (Labour) is gender-critical. I can't think at the moment of any Lib Dem who has spoken out against self-ID, which is a bit depressing.”

Wasn’t Brian Paddick being investigated for “wrongthink”? I seem to remember a big upset back in the Spring.

CesiraAndEnrico · 30/08/2018 06:49

Women don't have male members

I am showing my age Grin

But it is child/even most sensitive post office worker ever friendly.

On another matter, the focused flyers aimed at men (husbands, boyfriends, fathers, grandfathers, sons etc) have a linked website is all about the adorable transperson who wants to staple vaginas and push heads in dog piss. As awful as it is.... I think we need to update it, with a newer candidate for Worst Person Ever whose ilk would benefit from Self ID.

Keep me busy people. My baby has flown over the alps and while I never managed to integrate on the "cook at cooking" bit, I appear to assimilated and then some on the "stereotypical middle aged, clinging, apron strings reinforcing, Italian Mamma" front.

I have the Big Sads. But I am easily distracted, so a stylus with stuff to do should stop me wandering into DS's room and gazing at his unrumnpled bed all mournfully. Again

First fast mock up.

I don't have a printer (they hate me) and my printer lady is still on holiday.

Can somebody knock out an A4 portrait, B&W cheapo copy on normal paper and tell me if

1- The size is about right (stick a two pound coin on a circle)

2- The text stays true, not fuzzy

These are not the final choices, just some stuff I'm playing around with until the size/text type can be pinned down.

File already 1MB to keep vector text as true as possible. Be patience with loading times.

Women don't have male members

That would work with a Venn diagram type of thing wouldn't it? The set 'women' has no male members.

arranfan · 30/08/2018 09:10

CesiraAndEnrico - is the cause of the Big Sads in a major city in the UK to study? Is there any chance that he will spot one of your stickers somewhere and swell with pride and want to stop people and explain that his mamma contributed to that?

Ereshkigal · 30/08/2018 09:20

Wasn’t Brian Paddick being investigated for “wrongthink”? I seem to remember a big upset back in the Spring.

Yes he was. Completely trumped up after he met with members of Women's Place I think. Even though he never expressed a GC view.
