Do they make these stickers as postcards? Merseyside Police need to receive some feedback from their constituents on both biology, the law, and the abuse of power and public funds.

I always think a postcard is a snappy way to communicate.

BarrackerBarmer · 19/08/2018 12:52

Is it ALL penis imagery the police intend to investigate? I'm sure that law abiding citizens can assist them in their virtuous dickobliteration by pointing out examples they've missed?

BlackeyedSusan · 19/08/2018 12:56

Excellent idea barracker

I think when some of us sent postcards to John Bercow (after he made clear that he intended to silence dissenting GC women & quoted Churchill ) people used an online way of making postcards. You create the both the image and the writing online.

-I'm old school postcard sender, but also remember getting blank ones too which could be decorated etc

We shouldn’t allow people to peddle anti-trans messages under the guise of trying to protect other people’s rights. We shouldn’t let people muddy the waters in that way. It’s just not people screaming abuse in the streets – it’s sometimes people who have access to the media and can write articulately, and are using their position to push messages which I think result in very considerable and dangerous displays of hostility to trans people. Up with that we must not put, as Churchill might have said.”

What on earth is he doing? How can a supposedly-independent speaker intervene on something in the middle of the government consultation?"

Thanks again James.

The mayor of Liverpool appears to be a not very nice man. Clearly keen to amass wokepoints.

WaddIelikeapenguin · 19/08/2018 12:59

Postcards are a brilliant idea!
Thank you James, you were quick of the mark with this one!

Bore from the Wiki link about Mayor Anderson:

"one of his first moves on becoming Council Leader was to appoint David McElhinney as temporary Chief Executive of the Council for the 6-month period when the Council was renegotiating its contract with BT. David McElhinney was Chief Executive of LDL at the same time. Cherie Booth QC was engaged to provide legal advice regarding the obvious potential for conflict of interest. The LDL contract was extended, although this was subsequently terminated when it came to light that David McElhinney's payments from another council - Lancashire - were under investigation. McElhinney and others were arrested as part of an ongoing investigation into allegations of conspiring to pervert the course of justice and intimidating witnesses. Anderson was interviewed by police under caution in November 2017.

In April 2015, Anderson was involved in a legal dispute with Chesterfield High School, claiming unfair dismissal from his role as social inclusion mentor. It transpired that he had continued to receive an annual salary of £4,500 from the school in his working absence. The case for unfair dismissal was lost and Chesterfield requested that Anderson pay back a portion of the money he had received. The case attracted press attention when the judge revealed that Anderson had used Liverpool City Council lawyers to work on it despite its being a private matter"

Hmm important though to establish if stickering the stickers in question constitutes a crime.

Does anyone know for certain that the police aren't investigating Jess Bradley? Has there been an official statement or the like?

BoreOfWhabylon · 19/08/2018 13:12

YY R0wan. Just another pig with his snout in the trough.

Apparently Private Eye has taken notice of his shenanigans in the past. Let's hope they will do so again.

R0wantrees · 19/08/2018 13:17

Pretty sure there hasn't been any further statements from Bradley, NUS, Police or other interested parties (eg Action for Trans Health, TELI, Women & Equalities etc) since the story broke by Daily Mail 29/7
www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6003331/Britains-official-transgender-student-officer-suspended.html

Its worth finding the Private Eye article (from last week?) on the latest thread:

Just yesterday this was in the Liverpool Echo.

A tweet on personal safety shared byMerseyside Policeand Liverpool Council has been accused of "victim blaming" women who are raped

www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-news/women-raped-because-rapists-anger-15045232

It says a lot about how council leaders and some police still don't have a clue/give a shit (*delete as appropriate)

R0wantrees · 19/08/2018 13:20

O well I'm sure this story will be of great interest to Private Eye... I imagine it may well be irresistable if they already have an interest in Mayor Anderson!

R0wantrees · 19/08/2018 13:21

O for Fluck and Law!

Tinycitrus · 19/08/2018 13:28

I think that Merseyside video is fair enough.
I don’t think it’s production implies the council and police ‘Don’t give a shit’ at all Confused

WarmWishes · 19/08/2018 13:38

Most Liverpudlians are acutely aware of the matter of using city lawyers to fight a private case. Any article that mentions him in the Echo will see 100s of comments online and via Echo's Facebook page demanding repayment, regardless of what the subject matter being reported. Never made any difference though.

Sarahconnor1 · 19/08/2018 13:51

Tinycitrus

Which is why I also said don't have a clue which is more in keeping with my thoughts.

People's anger stems from this video telling women and their freinds to modify or manage their behaviour rather than telling men to not rape.

Dr Anna Cunningham told the council in a tweet: "This doesn’t highlight how friends can help each other stay safe, though. This says it’s the fault of everyone but the rapist. Wrong, wrong, wrong."

miri1985 · 19/08/2018 13:57

Should I inform the Merseyside police about the books in the library and many homes that describe the female reproductive system as not including a penis? Does this imply that the teaching of biological facts is a State sanctioned hate crime?

R0wantrees · 19/08/2018 13:59

Its an interesting question miri I wonder if there might be leniancy if the books are purely for personal use and being kept in a private or restricted area?

Perhaps leaving them open in public on a 'contentious' page would be more concerning to Dr Harrop / Merseyside Police / Mayor Andersn etc?

Mrsbadger77 · 19/08/2018 14:07

Basically the police are shit scared that if they don't be seen to be investigating this then further down the line they themselves will be investigated by the PCC, especially after institutional racism/ homophobia and all other cover ups etc. If that makes sense!!!??? They are desperate to be seen as being ultra P.C.

Sarahconnor1 · 19/08/2018 14:10

What about this chap? Wonder if he still on the old lewis's building?Shock and if so does old dickie need reporting.

WarmWishes · 19/08/2018 14:16

Old Dickie Lewis.

heresyandwitchcraft · 19/08/2018 14:22

What about this chap? Wonder if he still on the old lewis's building? Shock and if so does old dickie need reporting.

Now now. The hate crime is assuming that statue's gender identity and using male pronouns... We've learned that many historical figures were actually trans. That could be a female penis, for all we know. Women's penises are apparently perfectly acceptable in the public space as we have ALLEGEDLY learned from the ALLEGED blog/investigation of Jess Bradley.

I think that's how this all works?

Sarahconnor1 · 19/08/2018 14:33

Shit yeah I assumed old dickies gender identity. Do I need to go for re education?

TheCountryGirl · 19/08/2018 14:34

Another brilliant article from James and I LOVE the last line...it shows the absolute stupidity of this idiotic police force in investigating women for stating biological facts. It's a laughing stock!
