Ever single time. Every single time. Every single time.

I am being asked how men turn into women.

I say they can't. They turn into transwomen. These are men who change their bodies to be as much like women as possible, but are still men.

Every single time I teach pregnancy I am asked how men can do it.

Every single time we go through genetics I get a shocked response for saying "this is male, this is female"

Every single time I make any distinction between male and female I am asked "are you allowed to say that?

I equate being ordered to teach that men can become woman to previous generations of teachers being ordered to teach nazi race science.

I am quite sure I will be sacked one day

@Picassospaintbrush If you speak to those women again, please do send them to the trans widows thread, or ask them to PM me. I might have a way to help them.

This thread, thank goodness for intelligent, educated women handing TRAs and their list of links, their arses.

"not all heroes wear capes"😉 (sorry!)

Puffycat · 11/06/2018 02:08

The worlds gone bloody mad!
Try having a conversation with a group of (excuse me) white, middle class teens, we are bloody dinosaurs!
He, she sorry, coff coff.
They are so pc as to be out the other side!
Dont get me wrong, I’m all for free choice (really) but why is it such an issue?

Puffycat · 11/06/2018 02:10

It’s also like all that bollocks about not referring to our kids as boys or girls!

mancheeze · 11/06/2018 03:50

' I'm waiting for the claim that sex is actually a quantum observable and if hadn't been for the naughty doctor prematurely collapsing your wave functions you'd be the woman you always knew you were inside'

LOLOLOL

I needed that laugh.

SeahorsesAREhorses · 11/06/2018 06:32

But it isn't free choice is it Puffy

Free choice doesn't control peoples speech, or use dodgy science, or shame people for naming facts.

Prawnofthepatriarchy · 11/06/2018 07:13

Placemarking. I'm fascinated.

Bowlofbabelfish · 11/06/2018 07:17

It's like flat earthers trying to call it a pseudoRiemannian two dimensional surface of non-positive curvature and hoping that will shutyou up.

Nonsense somedyke it’s a Kaluza Klein topology! Grin

So science. Much nonsense.

Bowlofbabelfish · 11/06/2018 07:25

the science on gender development in the womb shows that gender is developed by hormone washes so it is actually biological,

It doesn’t. Hormones in the womb ‘gone wrong’ lead to a number of physical issues. Hypospadias for example. PCOS in women. There is absolutely NO work that shows that the concept of ‘gender’ is caused by hormone ‘washes’ in the womb. None.

Gender is a concept that’s largely social - it changes over time and in different cultures. Last time I was in Tonga, I was in a flight sat next to a member of the government obviously on his way to some formal meeting - massive bloke, six four, built like The Rock. Wearing a smart black shirt and a traditional taʻovala. That’s a skirt wrap made out of woven plant materials (apologies to any resident tongans if there’s a specific definition.) so a bloke in a skirt by western standards, but a man of high social standing wearing formal dress by Tongan standards.
A man in the uk wearing a skirt would be frowned at - oh unless it’s a kilt. See... gender presentation is not set - it varies, depending on who you are, where you are and when you are.

Raven88 · 11/06/2018 07:30

Do you think they should add the differences with gender and biological sex to help children understand? It must be so confusing for the children and a mine field for the teachers.

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 11/06/2018 08:12

f you had educated yourself on the science, you would know this

If only id paid more attention in school Sad

OF COURSE IT WOULDNT HAVE BLOODY HELPED AS APPARENTLY IT WAS ALL WRONG!!

Bowlofbabelfish · 11/06/2018 08:21

f you had educated yourself on the science, you would know this

I’m smiling at this. I sort of thought I was fairly educated on the science stuff. But I think what’s meant is Education in the ‘middle of Siberia’ sense.

GibbertyFlibbert · 11/06/2018 08:23

"But if you argue publicly in the staff room, you might lose your job and won't be able to help the kids understand. "

Because the majority in the classroom understand the science you are denying.

Bowlofbabelfish · 11/06/2018 08:31

Because the majority in the classroom understand the science you are denying.

Explain the science. Please. In your own words. How humans can change sex.

LangCleg · 11/06/2018 08:40

I sort of thought I was fairly educated on the science stuff.

Failed autodidacts for the win!

Pratchet · 11/06/2018 08:40

Mate you don't understand your own 'science'. The thing about understanding is that you can re-express it. You can paraphrase, or explain it for others. You can't do this because you have literally nothing.

GibbertyFlibbert · 11/06/2018 08:48

Did.

Now you give definitions of male and female which do not leave anyone out.

TimeLady · 11/06/2018 08:49

Good morning, WUMmen Wink

Ereshkigal · 11/06/2018 08:52

surely it wouldn't kill them to mention trans women are women by law but are biologically unable to have children due to having different anatomy.

Only trans identified males with GRC could be described as "women by law" and even then they can be excluded from female spaces if a service provider uses the single sex exemptions in the Equality Act. Only around 3k males have a GRC. So the vast majority of trans identified males are not "women by law".

Ereshkigal · 11/06/2018 09:00

Nope bowl as Mark Lazarus isn't a trans woman he's a cross dresser. If you don't know the difference that explains a lot.

Nope. Cross dressers are under the trans umbrella and protected by the same laws and policies. Take it up with Stonewall. I think you probably know this Daim.

Bowlofbabelfish · 11/06/2018 09:02

You didn’t. 😁 how can an XY Male change into an XX female?

People are agog to know.

LangCleg · 11/06/2018 09:09

Now you give definitions of male and female which do not leave anyone out.

LOL.

Pratchet · 11/06/2018 09:12

Now you give definitions of male and female which do not leave anyone out

They did. Read back.

daimbars · 11/06/2018 09:14

I have a question for the 'sex is binary' brigade.

If you can't change sex, do you think trans people are their biological sex or become sexless?

Let's use the example of the trans guy in the picture attached. This person has had surgery to remove breast and female sex organs and taken male hormones.

Is the person in the picture still 100% female? Absolutely no grey area?

Pratchet · 11/06/2018 09:15

Yes of course

Pratchet · 11/06/2018 09:16

Buck Angel is a lady also. With Buck angel you can hear it in the socialisation!
