I've just seen in Twitter that she was attacked by a random man in the street! She hasn't said why yet.

I am just that this is happening in 2018

(I hope it's okay to post this here. I imagine people will want to discuss it)

Nhsbytes, Magdalen Berns is a gender critical lesbian activist. She has a YouTube channel with thousands of subscribers. I can't link on my new phone but she's easy to find.

Her outspoken insistence that there's no such thing as a lesbian with a penis won her many feminist fans, plus lots of attacks from TRAs and allies. Being homosexual is transphobic these days, though oddly it's only lesbians who are under siege.

Magdalen has endured a lot for her position. She's a student, or at least she was, and she was expelled not only from her local LGBT Soc and Women's Group, but a number of other student groups, some national.

I had the great pleasure to see her speak at a feminist event in London a couple of years ago.

Ok, if that article describes the assualt on Magdalen, I think the attacker spitting at her would suggest that he knew who she was. Random violence is one thing, but the spitting seems personal?

Agree with assigned. Dreadful. I believe spitting is an assault in itself.

I had no idea that she's the same age as me....we were peak transed in what seems to be exactly the same way, as students. I wish I had been as brave as she was to stick up for her beliefs there and then (trying to make up for it now).

I asked on the other thread thinking it was this one but it appears to have turned chaotic . What's her PayPal for? Does she run a charity or something?
