Well done to whoever made that public.

PositivelyPERF · 19/05/2018 09:42

Munroe really did get pissed that Venice wouldn’t back down. Go Venice! 😁

NotTerfNorCis · 19/05/2018 09:46

Wow I hadn't realised how masculine Bergdorf sounds. The hyper-feminine appearance must have distracted from it, I suppose.

TERFragetteCity · 19/05/2018 09:51

Venice - what a woman.

DisturblinglyOrangeScrambleEgg · 19/05/2018 10:01

Venice handled that very well. I thought she did a particularly good job of staying on point when Munroe tried to drag her off.

PlectrumElectrum · 19/05/2018 10:21

Amazing that the focus on incorrect pronoun use is deemed worse that what Venice was actually talking about.

SymbollocksInteractionism · 19/05/2018 10:28

👏👏

Elendon · 19/05/2018 10:29

It's the constant talking over by Munroe which is disturbing. What ever happened to the art of listening and engaging in a discussion in which one respects the other's point of view but agrees to differ?

Lemonjello · 19/05/2018 10:33

Venice did a brilliant job there.

Interesting that the video refers to ‘outtakes’ and has 1 in the title, perhaps there are more to come?

HotRocker · 19/05/2018 10:35

@NTOC
To be fair MB doesn’t sound any more masculine than I do and I have a real vagina and tits and everything, so I’m not sure that’s really helpful. I’m not trying to detract from the fact that they would seem to be a rather unpleasant individual, just pointing out that judging someone’s credentials for being female on the pitch of their voice is unhelpful. Let’s not make this a witchhunt against women with deep voices, because there are plenty of us around.

LangCleg · 19/05/2018 10:38

Oh dear, Channel 4, what a giveaway. How come this interview laying out the context of child protection and safeguarding with regard to children with a trans identity didn't make it into the show?

How about the similarities between the domestic abuser who uses vexatious reporting to harness state agencies like the police to engage in abuse on their behalf and the transactivist who does exactly the same thing? How come that didn't make it onto the show?

Hmm. Fearless investigative journalism? Or propagandistic churnalism? I wonder which one is the correct label?

Kyanite · 19/05/2018 10:45

Incorrect pronoun use is the worst crime...they feel a strong need to be validated as women (which is why they want to use our spaces and not have their own) and it's even worse when that incorrect use comes from women. Being accepted as transwomen isn't enough, we're meant to believe it too.

JoanSummers · 19/05/2018 10:45

I doubt that will stay up long. I can't figure out how to download it but suggest that anyone who can, should, so it can keep being shared.

Here are some of my thoughts about the clip:

  1. Most men hearing this clip are not going to side with MB. I won't be surprised if this clip gets picked up by some right wing and/or MRA sites.

  2. I think it will be impossible for most people hearing this clip to not be horrified by VA stating the reality of what SG has done. I think SG is on borrowed time.

  3. Delusional and narcissistic people are at their most dangerous when they know they are close to being exposed/having their delusions crushed. VA and PP are going to need as much support as we can all give them bc apart from what SG chooses to do, SG appears to be the public front for some powerful and deliberately invisible people. There is no sense otherwise in the level of power and influence she has been able to gain so quickly, all the awards and the funding - small groups of parents supporting parents of children with rare illnesses/etc are usually run on shoestring donations and mostly unnoticed by anyone outside of that community.

  4. I can't wait to see what clips follow and hope whoever leaked it has made sure to cover themselves. There is going to be a hunt on for them.

Ereshkigal · 19/05/2018 10:49

I really want to listen to this but can't until later this afternoon. I hope it stays up until then.

WeAreGerbil · 19/05/2018 10:50

You can download YouTube videos with an app called Documents, though it's been a while since I've done it so I can't remember the details, but I just Googled it when I used it.

Ereshkigal · 19/05/2018 10:50

Oh yes I have that!

JoanSummers · 19/05/2018 10:52

Thank you I will look for it :)

Baroquehavoc · 19/05/2018 10:58

It is shocking that the issue MB has in that conversation is misgendering. I wonder if they really believe that this sort of surgery on a child is ok?

I'm beginning to think misgendering is the biggest issue TIM face. Or they see stopping misgendering as a stepping stone to something else. Every conversation with TIM involves them policing women's language, and the demands are getting more outlandish.

TerfinUSA · 19/05/2018 11:01

quality is v. poor don't suppose anyone has a transcript?

NotBadConsidering · 19/05/2018 11:02

I also found the focus on pronouns bizarre. Venice was describing an historical event. She can't say SG "took her daughter to be castrated" without at least giving some form of context or it makes no sense Confused. It's all very well using correct pronouns for how people want to identify now but it really is Orwellian to change the pronouns of how someone was in the past.

IdentifiesAsMiddleAged · 19/05/2018 11:07

"Her son"

Oh F-OFF. He was a boy.

MipMipMip · 19/05/2018 11:12

Interesting. Thanks for sharing.
