Apparently the Alt-Right and 4-Chan are using MN.
I think it's just one person who controls their tweets. I really hope that the top Lib Dems know what's being said.

Ooh nice

I do have a grey one already...i should just stick with that

Dont need radicalising further...no sir...not me

goodthinking99 · 02/04/2018 22:43

This LD Twitter nonsense is really starting to get on my tits. Where is all this hate they keep on talking about? Will they ever give themselves a good shake and realise that distinctly average and often lefty types are asking to debate the potentially harmful, if unintended (if I'm being generous) consequences of self ID for women and girls. Christ on a bike is that too much to ask? Alt-right my arse.

I'm off now to have some naice ham, a g&t and revel in some Mumsnet classics from simpler times.

CertainHalfDesertedStreets · 02/04/2018 22:43

I might need help here -

Mumsnet Mandy,
joined on a Monday,
Cut her hair on Tuesday,
Penis beaker Wednesday,
LTB on Thursday,
Swam - as Mike - on Friday,
Radicalised on Saturday,
Banned on the Sunday
That was the end of
Mumsnet Mandy

Kneedeepinunicorns · 02/04/2018 22:45

Woman I remember someone on the threads here in the last couple of months who was in the know at Westminster muttering that political parties are utterly bloody terrified of the women of MN. In the amount of sneering at MN going on in the press at the moment it's worth noting: they only ever play the man with the ball.

Ellenripleysalienbaby · 02/04/2018 22:45

I reckon Balonz from Surrey is a huge TERF.

CallPrevent · 02/04/2018 22:46

A lot of ordinary women on MN started to get annoyed and concerned about what they were seeing on social media and in the news from TRAs and started talking about it. And increasing numbers of ordinary women are realising what is going on and talking about it and getting increasingly angry and refusing to put up with it.

Your bad behaviour TRAs, caused this. We know how to handle toddler tantrums.

Nextloorejext · 02/04/2018 22:46

Mumsnet is a cesspit of EVIL!

Do you think Lib Dems tweeters T-Rex in the supermarket

LGBT+ LibDems could not T-Rex in the supermarket if their pronouns depended on it.

They're just not that Bear

CircleSquareCircleSquare · 02/04/2018 22:47

I just woke up DD laughing.

ijustwannadance · 02/04/2018 22:49

Zoflora is migraine inducing.
I don't have a toilet brush or a bathroom bin so I haven't been radacalised yet.

53rdWay · 02/04/2018 22:50

We should get a radical feminism version of those tickets that Certain Other Sites have.

🌟🌟🌟 It’s been 11 months 3 weeks 4 days 3 hours since I broke up with the patriarchy! 🌟🌟🌟

As I said before Amortentia, the mocking of mumsnet and 'mums' provides an immediate and reliable indication of their opinion of women.

I think it should forever more be known as 'The Mumsnet Test' =
The level of contempt 'for mums debating' is in direct correlation with the level of misogyny

Tells you everything you need to know about a person

Kneedeepinunicorns · 02/04/2018 22:50

Oh good grief, the innocence Grin

Ok, easy way to check this fact: one of them just needs to post on AIBU and announce that they are a woman who reads the Daily Fail and voted UKIP, are they being unreasonable.

The can collect what's left of the poster in a bucket about half an hour later.

CapnHaddock · 02/04/2018 22:51

My MN scarf is in the charity bag. I'm now thinking I should haul it out and wear it proudly like a badge of TERFiness

53rdWay · 02/04/2018 22:51

Tickers, even! Bugger.

SunsetBeetch · 02/04/2018 22:51

What an embarrassment to a political party. Do they have student interns running that account? Are they on glue?

thebewilderness · 02/04/2018 22:53

People do not have a very high opinion of mumsnet
When you say people we all know you mean men.

2nd rule of misogyny: Women saying no to men is a hate crime.
3rd rule of misogyny: Women speaking for themselves are exclusionary and selfish.

Amortentia · 02/04/2018 22:54

Assigned, I totally agree. Maybe their synthetic hormone addled brains can’t understand that us ‘birthers’ have opinions too.

Men has a collective hate women, let’s never forget that. Mumsnet is majority female, of course they hate us.

LightofaSilveryMoon · 02/04/2018 22:55

What a wonderful read this thread is! ROFLMAO! Grin

Bufferingkisses · 02/04/2018 23:00

Well my comment has been accepted. I wonder if I'll get a response. I'm afraid I did get a little ranty. This whole business has got right on my may nerve.

Forget all the terf mumsnet vs forward thinking tra stuff for a moment. Has everyone forgotten that trans people have parents? That some of them are parents. Heaven forbid that a parent would use a site for its parenting factor! Nope, all radicalized terfs the lot of them... Angry

boatyardblues · 02/04/2018 23:04

I’m glad I’m a Janey-come-lately to MN. I can’t abide animal print clothing. You wouldn’t catch me wearing that scarf, ever.

yetanothertranswoman · 02/04/2018 23:05

If the person who is in charge of the Lib Dem feed is reading this:

Do you really think it's a good idea putting that stuff out on Twitter about Mumsnet?

You may have your personal views - but they are personal. It's not a good look for the Lib Dems.

There's been no radicalising by 4Chan. It's a little bit patronising to suggest that. The action of transactivists and the constant closing down of debate has played a massive part.

Your journey has been hard. But get out of your echo chamber and read what's being said instead of dismissing it as transphobic. Because if you dismiss people with labels, they aren't going to go away. The issues are just going to get worse.

The solutions are more difficult. As are some of the conversations. But if the conversations aren't had, things will get worse.
