New to mumsnet, terrified.

Anyone going?

OP posts:
IAmSproutycus · 22/05/2018 18:30

I'm not sure how I did that, but typed that I was going and did anyone want to meet up on the way, but managed to delete that! I'll be heading either from the RVI direction or Haymarket metro.

anonymouseagain · 22/05/2018 20:23

I'm going as well.

HerFemaleness · 23/05/2018 00:32

Check your emails ticket holders.

HerFemaleness · 23/05/2018 00:33

Yes, there should have been a comma somewhere in that sentence.

AreYouTerfEnough · 23/05/2018 00:55

I’d be interested in joining a NE gender critical group 👍🏼

DidoAndHerLament · 23/05/2018 10:11

I'm going, happy to meet up before & go in together. PM me to arrange Smile

HerFemaleness · 23/05/2018 10:26

A NE group would be great. I know a couple of women who are on the same page but would love to link up with others.

LostSoutherner · 23/05/2018 13:41

I'm really intrigued to see if there will be protestors outside/how many...
Not heard of anything but then my contacts in that direction probably know I'm terfy mcterf face and wouldn't be plastering stuff on facebook...

LostSoutherner · 23/05/2018 13:48

Oh! Just seen the email.
Interested in meeting up before and going together.

HerFemaleness · 23/05/2018 14:09

Are you talking about meeting in the city centre and then heading over, or near where the location might be?

IAmSproutycus · 23/05/2018 21:00

How annoying. It makes it very hard to work out whether to go home (from city centre) and to metro back in, or will I be better with the car?? It totally depends what direction to go. Will have to sit on my hands and wait impatiently for further directions. (Drums fingers expectantly). If it's not central I might drive from home, so will likely see you good peoples there rather than come in via the city (with a wing and prayer might even get in the door).
Safe journey everyone, and I look forward to meeting folks there. I'll be the one looking harrassed after racing home, feeding the hoards, and skidding out the door again to the cries of a very hard done by smallest child.

dorothymichaels · 23/05/2018 21:56

I have a ticket, but location will dictate whether I make it. I live in the east of the city. I'd like to meet up with folk beforehand if I do go.

LostSoutherner · 24/05/2018 08:24

Yes, it is annoying. Will they tell us in time to get into city and back out again? I have autism and anxiety, this is a bit of a nightmare.

LostSoutherner · 24/05/2018 08:25

Sorry, I mean not knowing where it's going to be so I cant get it into my head. Hate hate hate the TRAs for causing it to be like this!

HerFemaleness · 24/05/2018 10:44

If I haven't received the email by the time I need to leave, I'm going to head straight to Newcastle city centre where I'll park up and obsessively check my phone every 5 mins.

Do you have phone internet @LostSoutherner?

TolchockLovelyInTheLitso · 24/05/2018 11:20

AIBU to be unimpressed with the venue? It makes protests more, not less likely.

anonymouseagain · 24/05/2018 11:24

No, yanbu. I wouldn't be surprised if that that was a "decoy" venue and the real venue is nearby.

TolchockLovelyInTheLitso · 24/05/2018 11:30

Thanks anonymouse. I hope you're right. Types and deletes something possibly venue identifying.

LostSoutherner · 24/05/2018 11:37

HerFemaleness Yeh I do. It's ok. :)

HerFemaleness · 24/05/2018 11:46

I'm off to go and be busy and constructive. I look forward to meeting many of you later.

AreYouTerfEnough · 24/05/2018 11:50

Dunno how I’m gonna get there as I’m really anxious and don’t fancy driving in, particularly if the venue might suddenly change. I might ask dh if he could drop me off. Feel wibbly.

HerFemaleness · 24/05/2018 11:56

I'm not ready to be busy yet.

If the venue changes we can go in convoy to the new location if it's not within walking distance. You won't be doing it on your own.

anonymouseagain · 24/05/2018 12:17

@HerFemaleness If the venue changes we can go in convoy to the new location if it's not within walking distance.

I'll be begging a lift tor getting a taxi then, car's at home.

smithsinarazz · 24/05/2018 13:40

Hi - I've got a spare ticket - pm me if you want it. You'll understand I'll want to meet and hand it over to you somewhere semi-public.

HerFemaleness · 24/05/2018 14:09

@anonymousagain I have spaces in my car if needs be.
