Lord Patel/Karen Jones thread - anyone want to go to House of Lords to talk to Lord Patel

Does anyone remember this thread?

Well, I wrote to Lord Patel to ask him why he had invited a violent rapist and attempted murderer to talk to the House of Lords (about the rights of transgender people). He has invited me tot he House of Lords to share my concerns!

I am in shock. The dates he has sent I can't do, I am also sure there are other people who would do a far better job than me. Anyone fancy going in my place??

I was wondering about this.

My last communication with twofalls was that she was still trying to find a date, because they kept changing the arrangement.

I had imagined that Lord Patel fell into this inadvertently, without knowing the criminal records of his invitees. But he's obviously taken on the plight of transgender prisoners (i.e. trans-identified males) as a personal cause.

I would be most interested to know who funded the report linked above. That might be a question to pose to Lord Patel, if he ever actually agrees to a meeting ...

I realised I'd never updated this thread. To date I have had the date changed by Lord Patel's office 6 times. And they keep suggesting 8am and 6pm which is really difficult for me to do (they know this). I keep emailing but his assistant hasn't responded for a month now. But I will email again. Especially with regards to the latest news.

Actually i think it may be a grace that the date kept getting put back because recent developments absolutely add strength to the discussion of why we need to be concerned about penises in women’s spaces- they can’t keep ignoring the mounting pile of rape/assaults/violence/etc
