Lord Patel/Karen Jones thread - anyone want to go to House of Lords to talk to Lord Patel

Does anyone remember this thread?

Well, I wrote to Lord Patel to ask him why he had invited a violent rapist and attempted murderer to talk to the House of Lords (about the rights of transgender people). He has invited me tot he House of Lords to share my concerns!

I am in shock. The dates he has sent I can't do, I am also sure there are other people who would do a far better job than me. Anyone fancy going in my place??

Good point. Can anyone point me in the right direction of those figures?

I agree inviting me could be a box ticking exercise. It seems odd and I'm wary but feel there is nothing really to loose.

I agree that it would be foolish to seek a photo op from this meeting.

Lord Patel's interests in prisons and mental health would, I think, make him easier to bring to peak trans TBH. He is probably more au fait with the intricacies of the current prison estate and how vulnerable prisoners are managed within that than the average peer.

Thanks for the link. Have got very little work done today as I have been reading up on soooo much.

I was quite a way up the hill but have well and truly peaked! The abuse being dished out from trans activists is truly horrifying.

I think the meeting referred to attended by Miranda Yardley is the Transgender law concerns meeting of 31/10/17. I have a copy of the minutes as pdf (I wrote to my MP and these were part of the response.) or they are available here

WRT Science teaching in school - teachers live in a sea of cognitive dissonance, expected to instil in their students the ability to think critically, while simultaneously believing wholeheartedly in every new crackpot nonsense theory promulgated by the DFEE/SMT/some random school governor who read a book.
