Labour lose 3 points - ALL women leaving the party

"The 3-point fall in the Labour share [in You Gov poll] is entirely explained by a 6-point fall among women (from 46% to 40%)"

CON 43 (+1)
LAB 39 (-3)
LD 8 (+2)

@jenniferjames says "Oh fucking hell. I broke the Labour party. :-( "

I've got very mixed feelings. On the one hand - go everyone! They'll have to take notice - surely?

But - Jesus Christ let's not let the Tories have another term.

But - we have to stick up for ourselves don't we.

Starting to think the people who say the rapid rise in TRA ideology is being fuelled by those who stand to benefit from a divided left might have a point. Sad

Tory MRA plant?

niceandtoasty · 18/02/2018 20:48

A Labour Party candidate shared a link to the Transgender Trend schools resource ( www.transgendertrend.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/Transgender-Trend-Resource-Pack-for-Schools.pdf )

Lily persuaded all their followers to go and 'rate' the local Labour Party as rubbish on Facebook and has produced a document criticising the candidate which is to be delivered to all the households in the area where this candidate is standing.

So not only is this Labour Party Women's Officer driving women out of the party (either directly through the witch hunt or through women just leaving in disgust), they are also openly canvassing to persuade people not to vote Labour.

busyboysmum · 18/02/2018 20:54

Horrified. What is happening to the Labour Party?

thebewilderness · 18/02/2018 21:00

Madigan decided that conversation therapy is conversion therapy and assembled the brigade to punish Davies for something he is not guilty of.
Did they think if they gave an abuser like Madigan power they would not abuse it?

OrderOnline · 18/02/2018 21:01

I am so sad. So many people joined and ruined not only the Labour party, they spoilt many people a chance at improvement of their circumstances.

RealityHasALiberalBias · 18/02/2018 21:04

governess

It’s hardly a secret that Corbyn is a brexiteer. It’s ridiculous that we have a PM who is a remainer being shanghaied into a hard brexit, while the leader of the opposition is a leaver who therefore refuses to oppose this shambles, because he’s preparing for the glorious revolution.

OrderOnline · 18/02/2018 21:38

Did the group that stormed the BAFTAs have anything to do with the protesting in Edinburgh and London last week?

iBiscuit · 18/02/2018 21:46

Ridiculous and perverse.
I can imagine history and politics students' jaws dropping in years to come, when this whole sorry tale is relayed to them.

niceandtoasty · 18/02/2018 21:48

It would appear that it was Sisters Uncut, allies of the pro-woman-beating Action for Trans Health but now claiming that they are protesting against domestic violence Confused

OvaHere · 18/02/2018 21:52

So Sisters Uncut who last week were supporting a man accused of battering a 60yr old woman in a court case are today protesting about domestic violence via the Baftas?

Confused Confused Confused

OrderOnline · 18/02/2018 21:57

If it's the same group yes, and they want men in the refuge too.Shock

TheGoalIsToStayOutOfTheHole · 18/02/2018 23:50

What the fuck? Lily is now actively trying to stop Labour candidtaes getting elected?! Why is Lily able to get away with Lilys behaviour? And why is noone taking a closer look at him? I thought it sounded a little too conspiracy theory to me when someone on here suggested a while ago that Lily was a Tory infiltrator...but its seeming less and less tinfoil hat by the day now, I have to admit.

BlindYeo · 19/02/2018 00:00

The power is going to Lily's head.

Patodp · 19/02/2018 07:02

Who do you actually contact to report Lily's malicious behaviour?
Can people start making noise and complaints?

Patodp · 19/02/2018 07:19

nice and toasty
Which candidate and where?

NotTerfNorCis · 19/02/2018 07:34

The latest.

athingthateveryoneneeds · 19/02/2018 07:42

Where is the oversight here?

LizzieSiddal · 19/02/2018 08:00

“Not allowed to say to much”

Yeah right, I expect we’ll never hear anything else about it. (Because you’re a fantasist)

AngryAttackKittens · 19/02/2018 08:04

Does nobody who's still in the Labour party object to being used to settle this arrogant child's petty personal grievances? "That lady said something on Twitter that hurt my feelings" should not be something the party feels obliged to help resolve.

Fekko · 19/02/2018 08:13

I guess it’s a personal Twitter account. But if I was to launch attaches and snipes at people in the industry I’d get sacked for bringing the business into distripute.

LifelongVaginaOwner · 19/02/2018 08:49

Jess Phillips spent last night tweeting about the BAFTAs. She was tallying up the number of male vs female winners. Pointing out the overwhelming number of men who were winning (bearing in mind most categories are open to either sex). Anyway this was the reaction of a Labour Party women’s officer.

At want point does the party acknowledge that this person has zero interest in women’s rights and equality

Fekko · 19/02/2018 08:54

She might be right there - technically!

AngryAttackKittens · 19/02/2018 09:00

Feminism is icky, says the Women's Officer.

Fekko · 19/02/2018 09:28

So mature.

Tanith · 19/02/2018 09:47

“Who do you actually contact to report Lily's malicious behaviour?

You write to the General Secretary, Iain McNicol, giving full evidence to support your complaint.

If you have evidence that Lily Madigan or anyone else has brought the party into disrepute, then the way to deal with it is to raise an official complaint.
Grumbling on social media and/or resigning in disgust achieves nothing.

Last year, three Labour Party members were expelled for promoting a cross-party candidate that was not a Labour candidate in the GE. Labour didn’t stand a chance: it was Jeremy Hunt’s rock-solid Tory seat. Someone made a complaint and this enabled them to take action.
