This is all terribly difficult for dyed in the wool lefties
In a way, yes. But in the most important way, no.
I'm also getting irritated at Jen and Venice for the Corbyn adoration. It's all "If only Dear Leader could actually see what's happening, he'd be dead against it. But he's so busy!"
Bullshit. Dear Leader knows exactly what is going on and has decided to ignore it because he calculates that the youth and student led activism is more important to electoral success than the feminists are. (I think he's right about that cos nobody likes feminists but also wrong because he thinks the general public are unaware. They're not. They're waking up. So I think his calculation is wrong. Still his deliberate calculation though.)
As to being a dyed-in-the-wool leftist. I'm one of those. The TRAs and the liberal feminists and the fools with the hammer and sickle avatars and the moronic anti-free speech antifa? They're not leftists. They're individualists. They've co-opted the language of the left just as the TRAs have co-opted the language of womanhood.
Leftism is the antithesis of prioritising individual rights and subjective feelings above material reality. I'm a collectivist with a material class analysis. That's why I'm a leftist!
