Here's my post replying to Moth
Thats an interesting article moth. Best not on the board or MRAs would be all over it!
I was wondering today, hopefully, if the news about darts getting rid of the girls means the overton window is shifting and maybe p0rn will become less acceptable?
If not all this hooha about F1 girls and the presidents club is just tinkering on the edges.

Oh we were just having an at home holiday so it just meant missing some day trips! I was trying to say how rotten it is to have a cold when the weather is lovely!

Morgan Freeman urgghhh

LighthouseSouth · 24/05/2018 23:57

Oh I see Waddle, yes, it's one thing to miss work or school but missing fun is awful!

Yes I think every man in Hollywood that I liked....also rumours abound Wankstain is going to police tomorrow. Hope that's true.

LighthouseSouth · 25/05/2018 14:11

Think I've encountered a user who either can't read or is spoiling for a fight

had to go across the road for supplies. The coughing...! I've left it too late but I'm slightly confused what to do now as I think I probably am over using my inhaler. I really thought I'd feel better this morning.

sorry for the moan - but hey Wankstain has been charged so hopefully that's something.

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 25/05/2018 14:30

Which user is that?

Im sorry you are not much better today

Can you ring the triage nurse at your drs if they have one ?

LighthouseSouth · 25/05/2018 14:35

Thanks Rufus

I just thought the same thing so I left a message with the receptionist and someone will call me back.

sorry, I probably should not have said that about the user....just a bit annoyed. Will find something cheerful to watch now I think. Thanks for the kind words.

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 25/05/2018 14:43

Sometimes its good to vent

Hope someone rings you back and you feel better

Maybe they will get you in...if the coughs on your chest it will take a bit more than your inhaler to sort

Ds1 was supposed to be home from uni on Wednesday...then it turned into friday, then it was sunday...now its back to Saturday

Im so confused Grin

Waddlelikeapenguin · 25/05/2018 17:25

Ah Lighthouse sorry it's not settling hope triage can sort you out.

I recommend a peek at #hometovote incredibly inspiring although it does keep making me happy sob so maybe a really bad suggestion!

Rufus i had to read that twiceGrin

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 25/05/2018 17:39

And Josh Flagg proposed to his boyfriend Bobby...i was welling up, so sweet

LighthouseSouth · 25/05/2018 19:31

Thanks everyone
I have extra steroids now, they said to go back Tuesday of not feeling better but they also said it seems quite bad so not to expect much of the weekend. We did have a lot of walking planned. Oh well.

LighthouseSouth · 25/05/2018 23:33

The A&E thread has been quite an eye opener.

ErrolTheDragon · 26/05/2018 00:33

I spent an entire day in A&E with DH a few weeks ago. Picked up a really nasty flu type bug which he then caught so I'm not sure he'd want me there another time. Though I probably helped stop him expiring from boredom, he was wired up to monitors so couldn't have got himself anything to read or anything.

Meanwhile, exit polls in Ireland make me want to raise a glass Wine

LighthouseSouth · 26/05/2018 01:18

I'm waiting for a result, I don't trust the polls.

LighthouseSouth · 26/05/2018 19:32

Okay official result
Good to know they've moved into the 1960s
I wonder how it will work in reality in terms of doctors training and agreeing to it?

Meanwhile, there's a topic on MN called "streamed TV". I find that weird, couldn't it just be TV?

I fell asleep watching TV ad didn't wake up coughing for a whole hour! Hoping to go out tomorrow though!

ErrolTheDragon · 26/05/2018 19:54

I would guess there would be many doctors who've been horrified by how they've had to treat (or rather, not treat) women who will want to help those that need abortions now.

LighthouseSouth · 26/05/2018 21:21

Errol, yes but I'm wondering about training and support etc. Just thinking it's not going to be a quick thing so there will still be women needing to travel.

picklemepopcorn · 30/05/2018 12:29

I see both sides of that one. You expect to be able to find a private place to sort out such problems. But as other posters say, there are all sorts of reasons you'd be disappointed, nut just the unisex facilities.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 30/05/2018 14:29

But it seemed that the OP simply wanted a single-sex facility (as would I).

picklemepopcorn · 30/05/2018 15:24

Yes I agree. I think people got side tracked by the mechanics of blow drying a skirt.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 30/05/2018 15:35

Yes. There are ways of doing this in places where one might not be comfortable stripping a child down to their knickers, but why should we? I recall when I blobbed blood all over the skirt of a dress when I was 16. I tried to wash it out (keeping the dress on) and then skulked home, the dress ruined and my day destroyed. It would have been worse if I'd had to try and wash it out in front of men.

LighthouseSouth · 30/05/2018 17:15

Thank goodness I don't go out much anymore, the unisex toilet thing is so prevalent now.

Completely lost re the Posie thread going on, does anyone here know what happened?

Melamin · 01/06/2018 15:16

Just popping in for a swift half (and a packet of crisps, or two Grin)

Is this a real ale pub? The head of CAMRA has quit - the one who was trying to get them to take on craft ales and lager.

LighthouseSouth · 04/06/2018 11:55

hi Melamin

always so quiet here at half term.

Just saw that Gordon Ramsay and Kirstie Allsop really do fly business and put their DC in economy. I don't think airlines should allow parents to sit so far away from their DC. We don't travel but it must be a nightmare for everyone else.
then again everything I hear about air travel sounds crazy.

Waddlelikeapenguin · 04/06/2018 12:08

Light really?! Are the kids sitting with a nanny or something?
How odd to begin a family holiday separately.
