I saw the 'Female CBB' thing the other day and knew there would be at least one transwoman in there.

Interesting that it's to celebrate 100 years of women having the vote. When women didn't have the vote, was that because they 'identified' as women? How was it decided who could and couldn't vote? I wonder if India Willoughby would have been so sure they were a woman back then? Could they still have had a vote, despite 'living as a woman', even though they were actually a male?

If you wouldnt mind tailoring it to fit them and pretending it does, that would be lovely. Im sure you're naturally good at that. For my sins, I watch some of those naked and afraid type shows (people dropped into the wilderness trying to survive for 21 days with one tool, and no clothes)

I've always been very curious about how the women are hairless throughout (including pristine eyebrows), and how they must have to carefully time it so they aren't on their period.

I can only assume they go through some crazy hunger-games style primping and preening session before hand with lasers n stuff, because they're generally dirty, so it would be pretty obvious if they were handed a razor and soap every morning to keep themselves de-haired.

The thing is, I doubt audiences will take to India- he's very arrogant and mansplains a lot. Those type of people are never popular on the show.

Not sure about the model, but he looks quite young.

I wonder if we have an issue with false advertising? I don’t agree with the trans women are trans women thing but whatever, if they wanted to call it “an all women CBB” then I’d be less angry than “all female”. So we can’t have woman or female? CBB isn’t my thing but when is the non-men CBB? Because those are the people who couldn’t vote.

I am genuinely going to look into the ASA’s (or which ever authority or agency is most relevant) and think about putting in a complaint. All female is not representative of the show they are advertising.

I doubt it would bother her. You may see her as vile and a great many do, but she is a strong woman and would give as good as she got.

Hopkins has made some TERF-y comments in the past, so her being there might make things interesting.

The problem is, her criticism does come from a place of bigotry, rather than feminism....

Surely if you think trans women are women, the you would also consider them female, as women are female. Basically it's bollocks and makes it impossible to know what we are talking about.

I agree. But generally any trans activist or ally who isn't really stupid knows that MTF trans people are male. It's an actual fact. They will say that "woman is a gender" or they're "socially women". Male and female are biological. "Transwomen" (a word I never use now for this reason) are male.

Well I bloody hope there are 2 transMEN to balance things out when the male contestants go in the house!

I don't care about CBB, BUT it's one more example of something going to a man that should have gone to a woman.

nobody born male can be described in any way shape or form as female. Even if you are prepared to swallow the transwomen are women - there is nowt female about them.
