Really? Is it just me who doesn't get the Daniel Craig drag thing?

James Bond. Hardly most enlightened character.

Dressing up as 'a woman' which as we all know involves long hair, lipstick, high heels and a dress Hmm.

So an ad for International Womens Day that doesn't actually feature any women (well, the voiceover - but no-one is mentioning that).

Confused

He says that as people have never had the parts of the other sex how can they know for sure whether one or the other is better?

But that he is very happy with his penis, thank you.

(He looks nervous whenever I look up from the MN feminist section to ask him a question!).

HerBeX · 10/03/2011 20:51

LOL

I can't remember what Tiresias concluded...

FlamingoBingo · 10/03/2011 20:54

My DH says ".....er....ummmm....I can have sex with you with it?" and "actually it's annoying and gets trapped between your legs and gets hit when you play with the kids and you wake up in the morning with an uncomfortable boner..." The list goes on and on (he's still talking now!) Grin

So, to all those people who think as a feminist I actually have penis-envy, you couldn't be more wrong! If the only good thing about having one is that I get to have sex with myself, then I'm quite happy with my lovely, quiet, out of the way, well-behaved vagina, thank you very much!

SardineQueen, It's a well-kept secret but women can actually pee standing up as well. You just have to be in the buff and preferably outside.

SardineQueen · 11/03/2011 07:29

DD tried it from the top of next doors slide last summer, to copy their son. It didn't end well for her Grin

Grin

It's also a fact that men can pee sitting down: apparently henpecked Japanese men have to sit down so they don't sprinkle the floor! how emasculating Shock Google it

SardineQueen · 11/03/2011 07:56

Loads of men on MN pee sitting down - or rather partners of women on MN - there have been threads about it. Loads and loads. I have never met a bloke who peed sitting down but there you go!

How is everything over there Sakura, news here is pretty scant.

sakura · 11/03/2011 08:04

I'm a bit scared to turn on the TV

Blackduck · 11/03/2011 08:18

Ds always used to pee sitting down (is that because he was with me?) and, in fact would squat on the loo(feet on the seat)! (and, yes, it means none on the floor, on the seat etc - aim is better...) However, now he pees standing up and I am sure he has learnt that from school and other boys.... so is peeing gendered too :)

Thank you dittany, I'm okay here in the south, but that oil refinery has blown up near Tokyo and there is a death toll. I'm going to turn off the TV now Sad

sakura · 11/03/2011 08:32

Except I just head they're worried about the nuclear plants. Some have shut down but they have no information on leakage. WTF that means I have no idea.

sethstarkaddersmackerel · 11/03/2011 08:36

just heard from my brother in Saitama prefecture that he is fine and SIL is in France.
hope you & all your friends and relations there are ok Sakura.

Blackduck · 11/03/2011 08:38

On BBC oPresident says there have been no leaks....hope thats true and not just posturing. Hope you are all okay Sakura.

sakura · 11/03/2011 08:41

Didn't know your brother was here steth. I'm glad he's okay.
They said some of the nuclear reactors shut down automatically, which is worrying because they obviously "felt" the quake, but they have "no information" on leakage. I'm going back to the UK if a nuclear plant has leaked here.

sethstarkaddersmackerel · 11/03/2011 09:14

he's been there about 14 years now Sakura, his wife is Japanese.

HerBeX · 11/03/2011 16:49

That's mumsnet for you, first thing I thought this morning when I heard the news was "I hope Sakura's OK" Grin

HerBeX · 11/03/2011 16:52

Sorry very inappropriate smiley there given the appalling news, it was just the idea of internet sprites being my main focus when hearing a news story...

Omg20 · 12/03/2011 20:23

I never actually seen this advert tbh. I only seen the one with the woman in it wearing an hiv+ t-shirt.

AliceWorld · 12/03/2011 21:06

Day late and a dollar short maybe, but for trans feminists see the F Word. I've seen lots on there. For any discussion you have to go back a few years as now it's pro-trans.

(And my husband wees sitting down, more importantly!)

Omg20 · 12/03/2011 21:14

I have to admit I sit down when I go to the toilet it is a lot more splash proof and less messy than standing up :P

madwomanintheattic · 12/03/2011 22:03

thanks alice Grin

sakura · 13/03/2011 00:55

if you go on the F-word don't, whatever you do, mention that a vagina is an organ not a fuckhole because it's TRANSPHOBIC!! to do so
