WTH fell out of my vagina? (gross photo)

Seriously baffled.

Period due to start around Monday. Had some moderate cramps for about twenty minutes, took some ibuprofen. Problem solved.

About two hours later felt a weird sensation and this monstrosity slipped out. No pain.

Measures about 1.5" across and 3/4" wide and high. It looked mucousy to me but DH decide to cut into it (ew) and it's fleshy. It's not possible it is embryonic tissue.

Is it a decidual cast? It doesn't quite look like the ones on Google and there wasn't really any blood.

My fibroid came away between the time it was picked up and the op to remove it. How it came away I don't know nor where it went to 😂

JinglingSpringbells · 01/07/2023 20:10

Fibroids can't fall out.

No but bits of them can fall off when the blood supply is lost or reduced and the bits are generally fleshy (happened to me unfortunately 🤢) however the op says they have regular ultrasounds so it’s unlikely to be fibroids in this case.

Northerncardinal · 01/07/2023 20:23

Never heard of decidual cast before , I must have been living under a rock, and imagine my confusion when some posters referred to it as DC and I kept reading it as "dear children" 🤦🏻‍♀️

Moonshine160 · 01/07/2023 20:23

Also a member of your husband appreciation society!

Sorry to hear about your twins, OP. I have no idea what it is but from your measurements it doesn’t sound big enough to be a decidual cast!

Justchooseone · 01/07/2023 20:25

Well I was today years old when I learned about decidual casts….. I’ve no idea what that is but definitely show the photos to the clinic.

I’m so sorry for your losses OP. All the best for your next round of IVF.

dapsnotplimsolls · 01/07/2023 20:26

Blimey. Every day really is a school day.

Rtmhwales · 01/07/2023 20:26

I promise to come back with an update when my gyno at the clinic gets back to me, hopefully with a definitive answer!

Could it be a large chunk of period tissue that got stuck?

ElmTree22 · 01/07/2023 20:31

Following this because I'm far too intrigued.
So sorry to hear about you twins OP! ❤️

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 01/07/2023 20:33

I don't know what the black ring is but on a practical note , put something that you can measure for scale (ruler if you have one handy or a £1 coin ) in the picture .Then when you show them they can gauge it

BlondeFool · 01/07/2023 20:33

So sorry about your twins 💐

Capitalismwantsyou · 01/07/2023 20:33

So sorry about your twins, how devastating.

Susuwatariandkodama · 01/07/2023 20:34

I had a fleshy lump a little while ago but it was during my period so it was a pretty sight, freaked me out at the time but I’m used to having horrendous periods.

ruthgordon123 · 01/07/2023 20:36

Hello.
That must be quite scary!
Could it be a lost tampax that's been up there for yonks, didn't cause you any harm and worked it's way out?
If you've had babies with all the horrid stiching type situation it might be that.
Ask to see the nurse at your local doctors and take said strange thing.
If you don't feel pain I can't believe it's that dangerous.
Good luck

INeedAnotherName · 01/07/2023 20:37

I've never heard of dc either and I'm nearing 60 Shock I'm not sure if I admire your DH or if I'm too disgusted. I wobble rapidly between the two.

I'm sorry for all your losses OP Flowers

LaffTaff · 01/07/2023 20:37

SmallbutMighty1 · 01/07/2023 20:11

I think I'm the only one horrified he wanted to cut into it and smell it 🤢

🙋‍♀️ 🤢

I was already feeling a touch queasy, at the stained tissue... my gag reflex went full on aquiver though when I read that! tbf I've a weak stomach.

LaffTaff · 01/07/2023 20:39

It looks like a wee jobby 🤣

LocoCocoa · 01/07/2023 20:41

I had so many of these after the birth of my son for months, looked just like that, some that size and some were huge! Hospital were not concerned. I remember being terrified as I was convinced it was placenta but it wasn’t it was just clots of blood / tissue

Moomuffin · 01/07/2023 20:44

Well bowl me over.. I just googled decidual cast and now know what came out of me about 15 years ago 😂😂
I remember going to the doctors as I was in shock that I’d passed this big whitish clot type thing. I didn’t take pics or anything at the time so he said it could have possibly been an early miscarriage.

Now I know what it actually was!

sureigot20 · 01/07/2023 20:54

This looks like a DC!

I used to get these when my hormones weren't quite right. Thickening womb lining, no period, then it would all fall off at once. If you are having IVF I'd suggest that is what has caused it.

Tess3 · 01/07/2023 21:01

OP, truly sorry to read of your twins 💐 that's very hard 😔

41 years on this planet and never heard of anything like this - thank you for sharing.

Seeleyboo · 01/07/2023 21:03

Looks like a dicidual cast

Mumsanetta · 01/07/2023 21:04

I’m sorry for your losses OP and hope this round of IVF is a success.

Never heard of a DC and googled it, clicked images and omg that’s gross!
