@MattDamon

Yes, I hope that we do not miss Beth Mead too much.

BellaAmorosa · 03/04/2023 10:26

England won't miss her all that much, weird though that sounds as an Arsenal fan, because it's all about the system. Kelly and James and Hemp will be the wide forwards/wingers and unless we have a terrible injury crisis that should be enough. We'll see on Thursday, I suppose. That should be a cracking watch.

Brefugee · 04/04/2023 08:35

i really enjoyed the Chelsea/Villa match. I really need to get out and watch our ladies team sometime.

IcaMorgan · 04/04/2023 15:29

I have tickets for both England games, at the Australia game I’m quite near the dugouts. I can’t wait.

I was at the Arsenal v Bayern Munich and Man City games and the atmosphere was amazing. I already have my tickets for the semi final at the Emirates, got club level so a great view

MustTryHarderAndHarder · 04/04/2023 18:43

@IcaMorgan

Yes, we went to the North London Derby at the beginning of the season. It was amazing.

Caitlin Foord has a hamstring injury. She was doing so well. Such a blow.

I read that more than 20,000 tickets have already been sold.

Jealous!

It helps I have a season ticket to arsenal women so I am at every home game, I do pay for the ones that are outside the season ticket but as a wheelchair user it works out very cheap

Brefugee · 05/04/2023 07:44

I don't go to many other games apart from our usual men's games (season ticket holders know what a commitment that is) and our U23s on the "off" weeks.

But the German women's cup final is always played in Cologne, which is easy for us to get to, is a great stadium, there is loads of space outside for small girls' tournaments, a stage with entertainment and food trucks etc. It is a really great day out so I'll be going to that again. I usually pick a side to support, but usually Wolfsburg win.

MattDamon · 06/04/2023 11:33

Predictions for the Brazil game tonight? I think she'll start Russo over Daly and then use her usual starting team, with some subs in the final ten minutes.

doorwedges · 06/04/2023 14:18

No idea Mattdamon but I’m looking forward to it!

DuncinToffee · 06/04/2023 15:26

Brazil are missing a lot of players due to injuries, shame.

It be nice if Wiegman would again give some less experienced players a start.

did anyone see that the German U19 women played the German U19 men and won 4-3 or something

Really, I would that thought that could be quite dangerous for the women?

MattDamon · 06/04/2023 20:10

Toone!!

MattDamon · 06/04/2023 20:12

I've read somewhere that when women play the male teen team they lose at first, but after a few games they start to win because they figure out how to play around the strength and speed advantages.

DuncinToffee · 06/04/2023 21:41

Brazil equalise, it was coming.

Penalties next

MattDamon · 06/04/2023 21:43

They definitely deserved it. England seemed utterly lost the second half.

DuncinToffee · 06/04/2023 21:45

Yes Brazil played so much better the second half.

I love watching the women play. They play so elegantly.

Highly unlikely. Do you have a link?

MustTryHarderAndHarder · 06/04/2023 21:58

Pleased it went to penalties as it is good practice.

So happy we won.

But Rafaelle missed her penalty. Love her at Arsenal.
