The FIFA Best Women’s goalkeeper of the Year 2022 is England’s Mary Earps.

The FIFA Best Women’s Coach of the Year 2022 is England’s Sarina Wiegman.

A backwards move for Women's football (imo) a super model, just why!?

www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/64821116

Fifa's appointment of supermodel Adriana Lima as its first global fan ambassador five months before the Women's World Cup is "tone deaf", says former Fifa council member Moya Dodd.

Brazilian Lima will "develop, promote and participate in global initiatives" before the World Cup.

Does anyone else find it hard to find where women’s football is being shown on tv?!

DuncinToffee · 04/03/2023 10:23

I follow Barclays WSL on twitter, they publish the fixtures.

There's a WSL subreddit that is usually pretty up to date. Here's tomorrow's games: old.reddit.com/r/FAWSL/comments/11hz5n0/megathread_league_cup_final_wsl_championship/

Record attendance of 22,161 fans at Goodison Park last night for the Merseyside Derby.

Sadly, I missed the game as I was at a birthday dinner

Yes, what a game. My husband didn't want Chelsea to win (we are Gooners) because he doesn't like Emma Hayes after what she said when we beat them in the league cup (ie that we wanted it more because we haven't won a trophy for years).

He was hoping Chelsea would lose and wanted to see if she would say the same thing and then realise that Lyon were the holders.

But I was pleased that they one as I would rather the English teams go through.

I don't know how we will do against Wolfsburg. We have so many injuries.

MattDamon · 02/04/2023 09:56

Games on today. I'll be watching Arsenal v Man City and Aston Villa v Chelsea. Guessing Chelsea will still be knackered, giving AV a serious shot at beating them.

Villa are playing really wel at the moment, they will be causing problems for Chelasea

Man City really fluffed it in the 2nd half. Shame, as they have been playing so well.

DuncinToffee · 02/04/2023 20:08

What do I know Grin No problems for Chelsea so far.

We were out but heard on the news that we were 1 nil down after 5 minutes, so thought we were going to lose at least 3 nil. Couldn't believe we won. Can't wait to see the match and McCabe's goal.

Hope Foord isn't badly injured. We have so many injuries at the moment.

Yes, we were also hoping that they would be tired after Wednesday and AV would win.

Chelsea are a really good team.

MattDamon · 03/04/2023 07:17

Thought AV had a shot there. Frustrating to watch when you know they have some serious talent. Hope Carla rethinks their tactics for when they meet Chelsea again in the FA Cup semi-final (April 16th).

Excited for the Lioness games. Can they keep up the winning streak?

BellaAmorosa · 03/04/2023 09:04

It's impossible to predict who will take the title with fie or six games to go. Four clubs in contention - I don't think any other European league is as competitive.

The Man City result has made me so happy. I'll be honest, I really thought Arsenal would lose, especially after we went down a goal after 5 minutes! City had great chances which they didn't capitalise on and I think that was crucial because it meant we stayed in it. Hasegawa was brilliant. She epitomises Nadeshiko Japan for me - technical execellence and strength way beyond her stature. She's a slight upgrade on Keira Walsh, IMO. Not many can hold off or dispossess Frida Maanum so consistently.
But somehow we found the energy and determination to get back and win in the end.
