beachavendrea · 07/01/2014 05:47

Is there one of these already? I started WW online the day after Boxing Day which was the best or the worst idea I've ever had. I can't decide.
I have a lot of weight to loose and am finding it hard to get motivated, i have been sticking to my points, so thought I would start a support thread!

Super- exercise causes the muscles to temporarily retain water to help them repair ( you probably know this) so I'd expect that's why your staying put. You do need to rest for your body to repair, it will balance out over time. You might need to look at it over a month. I hold fluid 2 weeks after totm not before its about to turn up.

SuperDuperJezebel · 27/03/2014 20:09

Thanks, this is all what I'm hoping will be the case! I'm not exercising a lot, maybe one class a week and one gym visit but that is more than I have been doing. I'm just getting frustrated because it's only the last 18lbs to go and I just want it off!

everygalaxy · 28/03/2014 09:44

I only lost a tiny 1/4 pound this week but I suppose it it is step in the right direction and I did have dim sum one day this week! Had to weigh in a day early because I'm working at an overnight event tonight so might check again on Sunday.

On a more positive note I have lost 2 inches off my waist in four weeks so it must be working?! Smile

moonbells · 29/03/2014 08:12

Well done everygalaxy, I'd love to get 2" off my waist! I've got a classic jellybelly mum tum (not helped by CS overhang) and I have no idea how to get rid of it apart from just losing lbs to begin with and exercise once I get to the point where I don't think I'm going to have a heart attack if I try!

Yeehah! hit -10% yesterday! Had to go and buy new work trousers since the old size 20s kept falling down Blush. As a result of being out in the mall, spent far too much on other new clothes too. I have a big work thing in a month so I do have another good reason for a few new bits!

Does anyone else find that sometimes you lose several lb a few days after you've had a big meal? I'm hoping that's true tomorrow as I am being taken out for Mothers' Day. (Will not be considering getting on the scales on Monday!!!)

brettgirl2 · 29/03/2014 18:52

Yay for 10% moon. I lost half a pound this week but as totm is round the corner (and I deffo retain before) I think that's good.

Just using up some weekly points on some wine and ice cream. No eating out this week so fairly easy to stick to Smile .

brettgirl2 · 30/03/2014 08:08

I weighed myself again this morning and was nearly a pound less than yesterday (after consuming 51 pp in a day) wtf????

moonbells · 30/03/2014 08:32

That was what I meant in my last post, brett! Sudden drops after eating loads! Weird, isn't it? Sadly only works for odd days Grin

SuperDuperJezebel · 30/03/2014 08:43

Bloody hope so, I had 48pp yesterday and weigh in is tomorrow. I've decided to just not care anymore about how fast or slow it comes off, there might be 18lb left to go but I've lost just under 96lb already so I already look a trillion times better. I had such a brilliant day with my DP yesterday and I would rather have that, enjoying all my weeklies, than have 3-4lb losses every week. Plus, I dreamed last night I lost 5lb, so we're all good!

trainersandaches · 31/03/2014 22:53

Ok. So... First weigh in after my cycling accident last week. I put on 4 and a half lb since my weigh in a fortnight ago, taking me back to 9 stone 8.

BUT my leader said I have probably put a couple of pounds on in not having done any activity, a pound in water weight from the painkillers, and a pound and a half in cake-weight. So he told me to be nice and gentle with myself and aim for that pound and a half off by next week.

I think I may have done some damage to my weightloss progress as I have been moping around scoffing everything in sight. I had to really drag myself to go to weigh-in tonight, I just wanted to lie on the sofa feeling sorry for myself. I did walk the mile home tonight and that is the longest walk I have done all week. But my knee has gone down a bit so I am hoping to maybe go swimming later this week and start cycling if my bike is OK by next week.

If anyone has easy-to-measure meal ideas, do let me know, as my DH has been doing the cooking and buying me treats and I have been the grateful recipient! Also had a baby shower yesterday, a meal with my FiL on Friday and a work meal on Wednesday which haven't helped.

Feeling a lot more myself now so I am back on it in the morning!

SuperDuperJezebel · 31/03/2014 23:01

Poor you, doesn't sound like much fun at all. How about spag bol using extra lean mince, and whole wheat pasta? We make the sauce with passata and loads of garlic and onions and herbs so it's free.

Fortunately for me, moonbells theory was correct and I lost 4lb this week, taking me to 99.5lb lost. Aiming cautiously for 100lb by my 1yr anniversary next week, but nothing is predictable at the moment with me!

HalleLouja · 01/04/2014 17:53

Trainers poor you. I hope you are feeling better and fitter soon.

I missed my HIIT class yesterday for a PTA meeting. I missed going actually. Oh well.

Not sure I want to get weighed tomorrow. It's been mothers day and my DS's birthday and I have eaten far too much lovely cake.

HalleLouja · 01/04/2014 17:53

Super well done for losing 4lb last week. Fingers crossed you get to your 100lb next week.

fluffydressinggown · 01/04/2014 18:54

I am sat feeling urgh because I have eaten like a pig this week, I have had a take away pizza, a chinese and been to Pizza Express. I know I am going to be fatter when I weigh in. Why am I such a piggy :(

HalleLouja · 02/04/2014 14:19

Urgh only 0.5lb this week but did eat lots of lovely cake.

fluffydressinggown · 04/04/2014 14:33

Much to my surprise I have managed to lose 2 pounds this week bringing my weightloss total to 21lb, very pleased :)

Nannyme1 · 05/04/2014 12:49

It's my second weigh in coming up this week. I'm really scared, I have gone over my points a couple of times but I'm hoping the exercise will even it out so haven't really gone over I guess.

everygalaxy · 06/04/2014 08:46

Hi everyone only 0.5 pound lost this week but still going in the right direction! My clothes are getting looser!
Not expecting a good week because STBDH broke his arm yesterday so we are both feeling a bit stressed after a and e and me running round after him Sad might give in and have Chinese tonight Blush

brettgirl2 · 06/04/2014 10:46

grrrr so I lost another 2lbs this week taking my weight loss to 7lb (so half way to target weight).

Great you might think but the fecking app has lowered my daily points allowance. I mean wtf? Is someone with a starting bmi of 25 not losing enough shedding half a stone in a month? I will be compensating by counting every possible activity point.

Rant over, I seem to have ribs again yippee! I also went out last night and felt I looked good rather than like a chubby mummy. Why didn't I do this ages ago?

SuperDuperJezebel · 06/04/2014 11:27

I ask myself the same thing quite often Brettgirl! I have been known to be close to tears when I lost another point, I started on 39 and am now on 26.

Did a fair bit of exercise this week, ran/walked for 30 min on the treadmill yesterday among other things, my abs are killing me. Still a bit scared to try and get out of bed! Anything to push myself over the 100lb mark!

brettgirl2 · 06/04/2014 11:44

wow 100lb WineThanks

26 is the lowest I've heard (and my new allowance) so at least neither of us can be put down again!

SuperDuperJezebel · 06/04/2014 11:50

No, but we can earn points back if we gain enough! I put on 2.5lb after a weekend off (in NY!) And I got a point back. Lost it again the next week!

fluffydressinggown · 06/04/2014 13:04

I am starting to feel frustrated that I can't tell I have lost weight, my clothes still fit the same, I tried on some jeans that were a big tight before I started, and they are still a bit tight.

I thought after losing 21lb I would be able to see the difference :(

moonbells · 06/04/2014 16:59

Nothing off this week, but then it's been a bit chaotic and has involved eating out so many times. I'm actually quite relieved I'm static. I'm restricting both fat and carbs this week and sticking to vegetable stir fries, soups and salads as I still want to be down at least another half stone this time next month. And Easter is in the way...

Yay SuperduperJezebel ! I wonder if eating more in between 'good' days bumps up the metabolism for a few days following? I suppose it links in with the 5:2 theory.

brettgirl2 · 06/04/2014 21:29

fluffy there are some clothes that are freaky like that, particularly if they have a bit of stretch. I have a pair of jeans that have always fitted me regardless of my weight (I could even get them on 2 weeks after giving birth Shock )

I started pondering today exactly how I was going to get through Easter. Anyone know how many points there are in an average-sized Easter Egg? Grin

SuperDuperJezebel · 07/04/2014 22:38

Oh god we covered this today. The full yorkie thing has 104pp. I bloody love a yorkie I do! I had another stupid STS this week, wanted that 100lb cert so bad but alas it's not to be just yet. Also promoted from shop to helping with weighing, that was fun. And interesting for me to gain a bit of perspective on how I look these days, someone I had assumed was around my size is a good 5 stone heavier. I have no idea what I look like anymore.
