WW 2014 support/b*tch thread

beachavendrea · 07/01/2014 05:47

Is there one of these already? I started WW online the day after Boxing Day which was the best or the worst idea I've ever had. I can't decide.
I have a lot of weight to loose and am finding it hard to get motivated, i have been sticking to my points, so thought I would start a support thread!

So first week I lost a kilo, pretty happy with that 5 more to go! Smile. I prefer weighing myself in kilos, it stops the awful flashbacks to always being the heaviest girl at school (I was also the tallest but it still traumatised me! )

fluffydressinggown · 16/03/2014 19:17

I lost 1lb this week which has surprised me because I ate for England. Hoping to lose 2lbs next week. I would love to lost another stone by May.

trainersandaches · 16/03/2014 22:01

Phew I thought I'd killed the thread by posting my food diaries Blush

Well done on your losses! Fluffy, I'd ideally like to lose a stone by May too.

everygalaxy · 17/03/2014 10:35

I stayed the same this week which is actually ok considering I had a rubbish week at work and gave up tracking Blush.
I'm back on the wagon today tracking on the app and going swimming for an hour tonight. Have a good week and well done everyone Smile

fluffydressinggown · 17/03/2014 16:15

Good for you for getting back on the wagon galaxy

I have been trying to do some more exercise, swimming and aqua fit, hoping that helps me lose just that little bit more a week.

trainersandaches · 17/03/2014 21:53

I got my 10 percent this week! Lost 3 and a half pounds - some MUST be just water but I did try really hard. Now at 9 stone 4, it's the lightest I have been in years.

My leader told me to set my first goal at 8st13 - I am not sure why. I think it is a mid-way goal as I said I wanted to be 8 stone 6 which is what I was when I met my husband seven years ago. So in theory I have 5 pounds to go for my first target and could do it within weeks. My leader was encouraging but I am under no illusion that it won't be really difficult to maintain - that is the hard bit.

I am so short and have a tiny frame so it seems to me that I could realistically lose another stone and still look fine - I still have a bit of a pot belly and I want to tone and lose a bit from my arms and bum. But I am so pleased that I have plodded along so far.

HalleLouja · 18/03/2014 13:14

Well done trainers!

trainersandaches · 18/03/2014 21:40

Thanks Halle! I was going through some pics of myself from a while ago and I was a bit shocked by the 'before' pics tbh. I kind of want to give my bigger self a hug. I wasn't unhappy with my size but I was unhappy in lots of other ways and I definitely ate my feelings. I probably still do that now but have better coping mechanisms like running a bath to treat myself rather than having Gu chocolate puddings...

icanmakeyouicecream · 19/03/2014 06:40

God I'm majorly pissed off today. Weigh in day is Saturday, I've been excellent since then. Had a sneaky weigh in this morning and I've put on 1lb since weigh in? So annoying. Makes me think bugger it I'm going to dip all those digestives in my tea!

trainersandaches · 19/03/2014 07:19

Don't worry about it icecream, it could be ANYTHING, it doesn't mean you have put a pound on.

You might just have eaten something heavy, or be a bit more hydrated from yesterday. Weight does go up and down during the week and that is why they advise weighing weekly not daily. Personally I often do a sneaky weigh on a Friday morning before my proper weigh on Monday night, but often it is several pounds different to what I end up being. Don't worry!

icanmakeyouicecream · 19/03/2014 07:42

Thanks trainer. Really hope you're right!

everygalaxy · 19/03/2014 09:56

I have stopped weighing midweek as tempting as it is because i seem to yo-yo all over the place midweek and once I feel like I have slipped up I tend to give up totally.

I am really sticking to my daily points this week and even trying to ignore the fact that it is farmer's market today and the gourmet sandwich man is outside work making lamb and feta toasties!

SuperDuperJezebel · 19/03/2014 20:38

Im back on the exercise wagon (again) - this time properly. I have a new gym buddy who has lost 10 stone and is really motivating me (without even trying to) to get back on it. I ran/walked 25 min last night and did around 35 min of other gym stuff. Booked into a hardcore yoga class for friday night which im nervous about but going to give it a go. Lost 1lb last week, I feel like im on the home stretch now and I just want to get these last 18lb off.

beachavendrea · 20/03/2014 05:46

Well I now am over half way to my goal. I've lost 12 kilos since Christmas! I can finally fit in my old fat clothes if this makes sense. I reckon in 2 months I'll be in my old skinny clothes. It's been tough too because my youngest is not sleeping at all so I'm very tired. All the time.
Cutting out all processed sugar really works for me so I guess sugary foods are my archilles heal.
I also do a sneaky weigh in mid week sometimes it helpse stay on track.
I'm jealous of everyone's exercise when I can fit my exercise gear again I'll be back on the treadmill, literally.

Hello all! Sorry I've been AWOL the past week. Family staying and work chaos and all that. I've lost 1lb this week rounding my weight loss up to 2 stone exactly. I have officially booked in my HoC style day to celebrate my loss for the end of next month, so I'm hoping to have lost a couple more pounds by then!

HalleLouja · 20/03/2014 10:03

I lost a lb too. I seem to be losing weight slowly but have lost weight every week.

Beach can't you buy some cheap fitness clothes from Sportsdirect to get you started?

HalleLouja · 20/03/2014 10:03

Lamb and feta toasties sounds to die for!

WingDefence · 20/03/2014 10:12

I could eat one of those right now!

I agree that when I feel I've slipped off the wagon I find it harder to get back on track, even if it's just a one-off fairly early in the week. Have the 49 extra points in the bag does help with that mindset though. I use them as a back up IFKWIM so I can tell myself to just track it all and hopefully it'll still be fine!

Nellysgirl · 20/03/2014 14:26

Hello! Please can I join in? Been doing ww 3 weeks now and loving it! Been bit naughty this week though. And no exercise either! It's weigh in later though so I'll let u know...

ccsays · 20/03/2014 15:34

Hi all, I'd like to join too. Had my DD at the start of January and I'm looking to lose about three stone. Done WW before and did pretty well on it but I fell off the wagon a bit (a lot). I'm 5"1 and 11 st 7.5 lbs at the moment (eesh) and want to get down to 8 st 5 lbs (an in-the-middle BMI) I'd also like to try an lose a stone before my 30th at the end of May. I'm doing it with the iPad app, the only meeting nearby clashes with something else. First weigh in is on Wednesday, so I'm trying to resist the temptation to weigh myself more than once a week. I'm mix feeding at the moment, so have an extra 7 points daily.

trainersandaches · 20/03/2014 16:32

Whoops having had a brilliant start to the week I have been really bad and I had a flat tyre so haven't been able to cycle. Been really busy at work so just been nipping out at lunchtime to Pret.

Fixed my bike last night and got a new sports bra as well so I can comfortably go running - my poor nipples had ACTUAL chafing because my sports bra was too big now I've lost weight! The measurer in Bravissimo had the same WeightWatchers leader as me so we had a good old chat about it all!

fluffydressinggown · 20/03/2014 18:39

Well done for loses everyone.

I am doing my usual worrying about having put weight on. I pigged at lunch today and now I am really regretting it :( Get weighed tomorrow.

everygalaxy · 20/03/2014 22:35

Hi nelly and cc. This thread is really helping me stay on track.
I went out with the girls from work for pizza and had to use fifteen of my weeklies but I'm glad I kept tracking. Day off tomorrow so fingers crossed should be ok for a little loss this weekend. Keep going everyone Smile

beachavendrea · 21/03/2014 01:11

I don't do the meetings either because of the times and I've been using the app and it's been working really well.
I could get cheap workout clothes but it's the bra I find difficult I've spent a small fortune over the years on sports bras and refuse to buy one that I'm going to be too big for.
Also I subscribe to gwyneth paltrows newsletter (don't ask its a hangover from my working days) and a while ago she had a newsletter about supplements she recommender these ones to loose weight.

  1. Acetyl Glutathione
  2. MCT Oil
  3. Alpha-Lipoic Acid

Full disclaimer i haven't tried them because I've been breastfeeding but will be interested to see if anyone has.

I'm finding it hard this week. We are going round to friends for dinner on Sat, so to eat what I want I decided that I would need to save 30 weekly point (do sun to sun).... Still have 40 so it should get easier from today.

Also does anyone else find their apetite massively changes depending on the time of cycle? Itsnot totm though for me, I seem to go off food then but around the middle. This hasn't helped but at least as I haven't succumbed I won't feel fat b4 totm which I usually do.

Hopefully will have lost again Brew In light of big meal may weigh in on Sat.
