beachavendrea · 07/01/2014 05:47

Is there one of these already? I started WW online the day after Boxing Day which was the best or the worst idea I've ever had. I can't decide.
I have a lot of weight to loose and am finding it hard to get motivated, i have been sticking to my points, so thought I would start a support thread!

Beach- 10kg is more than a stone, it's 22lb? So a stone and a half! Well done!!

ElectricalBanana- well done on saggy jeans! I've bought one pair of trousers all through my weight loss. I refuse to buy any clothes until I'm at goal. My 2 stone award to myself is a style day so when I replace everything I can buy only good stuff and end up with a wardrobe that goes well. I have 1lb to go til I can confirm and pay for it. It's going to be at the end of April so hopefully I can lose another 5-7lb before I get there!

Evergalaxy- I hope you enjoy your Easter clothes shopping!

moonbells · 08/03/2014 08:40

Hello all, lots of nice encouraging losses!

Been a bit quiet for the past 3 weeks thanks to a few Blush moments. Had friends down for one weekend (lots of Really Bad Food) followed by going on a business trip which had some amazing food and wasn't in the least good for me either. Last two weigh-ins have had me absolutely static at 1lb over my first goal. But at last I'm on the way down again, weigh-in's tomorrow but I am 13st4 at the moment which means - yippee - I'm no longer obese! and only 3lb to the next goal, which is -10%. Total lost now 17lb. Grin My GP is happy too, she was getting concerned.

moonbells · 08/03/2014 09:45

Annoyingly though, it's amazing what age and motherhood does to you. The last time I was this weight and on a diet (just starting WW back in 1999!) I measured 40-34-43. This time round I'm 43-39-43. I can see where the baby weight went... and how much extra work I'm going to have to do esp around the flabby C-section tummy!

DH just remarked on my lamenting my lost shape, that as Garfield once commented, round is a shape. BlushGrin

funkypigeon · 08/03/2014 12:31

Hello, I've been lurking, can I join?

I've just started pp, my weigh in day is Tuesday- really hoping I've lost because I've been sticking rigidly to the plan. Initial goal is 3st to lose, but ideally 5st Blush

Weighing in at home because I can't get to any classes due to work, but have the app an this thread is fab for support!

Need ideas for lunches to take to work, any suggestions welcome..

fluffydressinggown · 08/03/2014 14:57

I lost two pounds this week which means I have lost a stone in total now.

Celebrated it by having a few days away and gorging myself Hmm hopefully I won't have put any weight on.

HalleLouja · 08/03/2014 19:06

Funky I make soup and put it in a thermos flask. Also made some courgette and cheese scones up the thread they were nice with soup.

Well done fluffy.

KosherBacon · 08/03/2014 19:30

Funky- hope you have a good week too. Lunches I like to make sure I always have some protein in there to help fill me up, and try and avoid point free soup as I am always hungry after it. I often have soup- about 2pp a portion (protein comes from lentils or cheese or something similar) and a sandwich made with a Warburtons thin. I often use Laughing Cow Light Blue Cheese which are 2 triangles for 1pp (but 3 are 3pp). As the weather gets warmer I will move to more salads. I try and make sure I have 5-6pp for breakfast and about 5-7pp for lunch, sometimes more.

Fluffy- well done! That is fab weight loss. You must be exceptionally chuffed.

Moonbells- congrats on the no longer being obese! My BMI has gone from 31.4 to 26.6! Its wonderful to only be overweight! I only have 10lb to go until I am officially healthy!

funkypigeon · 08/03/2014 22:56

Good ideas there for lunches. Not heard of these Warbuton thins- must investigate.

Having not gone into my weeklies all week I went a bit mad tonight at my friend's house, carb heavy. I've pointed it all and I'm about 10 into my weeklies, which I know doesn't sound bad but I'd been so good all week!

KosherBacon · 08/03/2014 23:03

The weeklies are there to be used! Use them and enjoy them! Don't feel guilty for dipping into them.

SuperDuperJezebel · 09/03/2014 06:47

I had a personal triumph yesterday, it's a bit silly but it's delighted me. My favourite jeans were a bit saggy - size 14 and a tiny bit too big? Quite frankly can't get over that. My mini victory though was the fact that I bought a new belt - previously the only place I could find s belt to fit was an XL one from Next. Worn on the last hole. Yesterday I went in and bought two new size M belts from there, and I can wear them on the 4th hole in. This delights me more than is probably reasonable. I have literally never been this size, not as an adult anyway. Looking forward to a huge Sunday lunch and crumble with friends today, saved a lot of weeklies for it so it better be good. Weigh in tomorrow, feeling hopeful that I'll have a loss. Only 4lb to 7 stone, and I'm 5 weeks away from my anniversary, hoping to lose 6lb by then so I can say I lost 100lb in a year. Is that doable?

everygalaxy · 09/03/2014 09:14

I lost 1 and 3/4 pounds this week Smile I was hoping to loose 2 but never mind. I'm going to add in more exercise next week.
The weeklies confuse me too I have saved them all for a huge roast dinner today but not sure if I should have spread them out?
super you have done so well I have about 7 stone to loose in total you are inspiring!

SuperDuperJezebel · 09/03/2014 10:37

No, you can do what you want with your weeklies! I save mine for fri/sat/sunday usually, so that I can chill out, eat a bit more on those days, have some chocolate or nibble on crisps while i'm sitting around the house etc. Sometimes I use them earlier in the week if I go out for dinner but def no set pattern. I like that i've saved them til the end of the week (weigh in being monday), so I keep them spare in case someone says 'hey, lets go out for dinner' on tuesday. Some people on the WW 5+ forum say they spread theirs out, an extra 7 a day, but I dont think that would work for me. I have set mine to 39 weeklies anyway as I'm constantly picking at bits during the week (I work as a nanny and I find it hard not to pick a bit of what i'm cooking the kids, so I keep 10 aside for that). I never thought i'd make it this far so i'm really delighted that I have, and its a good incentive to keep going. Good luck everygalaxy, you can totally do it.

annielostit · 09/03/2014 19:30

Everyone seems to be going well at this, how has the weekend treated you. Have been total rubbish. Meals out and too many wines! Official weigh is tomorrow, I was 2lb down on friday but sadly I expect undone. Will go on strict counting tomorrow and watch my weekly allowance so I still have some left by friday.
Have a good one ladies.

trainersandaches · 09/03/2014 20:56

My weekend was perfect, memorable and lovely - and I pretty much abandoned all semblance of dieting!

I have been sooo good up until now but it was my nephew's first birthday and my brother got a new job so there was prosecco to celebrate and I went 18 over my weeklies! Well worth it. In all honesty had I cycled to work as I usually do I'd have had enough exercise points to last me. But I had lots of stuff on last week so couldn't arrive at work looking like I'd been dragged through a hedge backwards, so got the bus in.

I do think I made some better choices - no wine with lunch on either day, and I didn't have a starter or pudding when we went out for lunch. I also went running this morning and earned back 7 points.

But I know I will be up tomorrow at WI and I'm ready to get back on it. Everyone said how healthy and slim I looked which was lovely to hear! Usually when I have been home we have a treat tea as I do get homesick, but we just had a salad tonight. I don't want to self-soothe with food any more.

funkypigeon · 09/03/2014 21:48

Good weekend here, not going to worry too much about the weeklies now, thanks for the tips Smile

First weigh in on Tuesday!

beachavendrea · 10/03/2014 06:12

I remember when I was no longer officially obese it was a good day. I also lo

Sorry on my iPhone with wriggly baby. My size 18 jeans are now baggy so I can get rid of those tried on my size 14 jeans and not quite there yet I hope by the end of the month I will be.
Had a very poorly/teething baby this past month so I'm knackered but not reaching for the sweet foods.
My husband made me a yoghurt breakfast oat chia seed thing this morning I got to the bottom of it and I said 'I wonder how many points are in that? And he said 7! I almost took his head off, my breakfast is usually 3 points, I could have had a steak for that.

KosherBacon · 10/03/2014 13:28

A massive congratulations to those of us in baggy trousers with smaller belts! We are all doing fab.

Crikey beach- if I had 3 points for my breakfast if be starving! I normally have 5 or 6! Mind you is also have a heart attack of my husband made me breakfast.

I had a good weekend, tracked everything and had wine and chocolate! My weigh in day is normally Wednesday but I'm actually going to go to a different class tomorrow. I am desperate to have lost 1lb so I can get my two stone award!

HalleLouja · 10/03/2014 14:59

Not expecting to lose any weight this week but had a lovely meze for my brother's birthday yesterday.

HalleLouja · 10/03/2014 15:00

Was worth it though Grin

craftynclothy · 10/03/2014 15:08

beach What do you normally have for breakfast for 3 points? I usually have a 6 point breakfast (cereal & milk) but would prefer to have something different to break the monotony.

I lost 1lb again this week. Pretty good considering I had a really bad 2nd half of the week it involved onion bhajis Blush

I tend to save my weeklies until the weekend as it's useful to have a bit of leeway if we have lunch out or plans change last minute.

trainersandaches · 10/03/2014 21:10

I stayed the same (justifiably) this week so am still 9 stone 7.5. If I am honest I was a bit unsure whether last week's loss was just dehydration etc so I am glad to stay the same in a way, as it shows that is my 'proper' weight.

The woman who weighed me told me to be really good this week as it sometimes takes a week for weight to settle so I am going to be extra careful! I have 1.5lb to go to get my 10 percent award which is my aim for next week.

I was thinking of perhaps posting my daily menu on here to keep me on track as I lose my last stone? I'll er, start tomorrow as I scoffed some peanut butter M&Ms which were hanging round my office today...

KosherBacon · 10/03/2014 21:51

Well if it's any consolation I've had 1/4 of a lemon drizzle cake and white wine (on a Monday school night!). I'm still within my weeklies so don't feel too bad. Oops.

SuperDuperJezebel · 11/03/2014 07:20

I lost 1lb this week, had hoped for more, been really good, but trying to see anything off as a positive. At least it's in the right direction.

trainersandaches · 11/03/2014 07:32

Yum I'd love some LDC Kosher! My 'treat' was a bag of the WW popcorn which is horrible. Should've had cake like the others...

Jezebel like you say, any amount off is good - our bodies are not robots so there are bound to be weeks that less than we hoped for comes off (and maybe sometimes we will get away with it when we have been less good!).
