WW 2014 support/b*tch thread

beachavendrea · 07/01/2014 05:47

Is there one of these already? I started WW online the day after Boxing Day which was the best or the worst idea I've ever had. I can't decide.
I have a lot of weight to loose and am finding it hard to get motivated, i have been sticking to my points, so thought I would start a support thread!

Don't worry about the past fluffy, you can only go forward. Plan your next couple of meals if it helps. Its a marathon not a sprint. I expect lots of us here have 'poor' weekends, I know I do, every week.x

trainersandaches · 03/03/2014 15:39

I weigh in tonight and am really hoping for a 1.5lb loss which will take me to my first stone off. Have a feeling from the sneaky weigh I did this morning I will be slightly off my target but but I live in hope.

I did have a takeaway curry on Saturday but I ran seven miles yesterday so I hope those two kind of balance each other out! Used all my weeklies but only one of my 34 exercise points.

KosherBacon · 03/03/2014 15:58

Well what a disaster of a weekend! I appear to have eaten my body weight in buttercream! I baked some cupcakes and made far too much icing which I literally kept squeezing from a piping bag on to a spoon. I had a girly weekend away so are cake, pizza (from the light section of the menu), wine, everything!

With the exception of my planned Christmas excesses it has been my only truly rebellious streak since starting in November though. I blame my TOTM too.

trainersandaches · 03/03/2014 19:58

I got my second silver seven! Lost 1.5lb to take me to 9st7.5lb.

So in total that is two stone lost since my biggest and it's my first stone with Weight Watchers. I'm off to see my family this weekend for my DNephew's first birthday so I hope they notice as I have lost a stone since Christmas.

SuperDuperJezebel · 03/03/2014 22:12

I'm pleased to report that after my unexpected and undeserved gain of half a pound last week, I lost 4lb this week! That brings me to a grand total of 94lb lost, roughly 20lb to go. Feel like a weight has been lifted, need to remember this feeling when I start picking at unpointed, unneeded junk, and when I can't be bothered to go to the gym.

trainersandaches · 03/03/2014 22:25

That's brilliant Jezebel! Good to know that when weight is undeservedly up it can come off in droves the following week.

Are you going to mark losing 100lbs?

I decided ages ago I would get a facial when I lost a stone - I have never had one before so it is quite exciting (sad I know!)

KosherBacon · 04/03/2014 05:58

Trainers and Jezebel- that is fantastic- well done both of you.

HalleLouja · 04/03/2014 11:16

Well done super and trainers.

My HIIT instructors said I looked stronger and had lost weight since I started her class 4 weeks ago. Am definitely feeling better - body wise.

HalleLouja · 04/03/2014 11:17

Kosher you are allowed to have a break sometimes. On Sunday my brother is over for his birthday and we are going for Meze. Am very excited to eat the meze to see my brother.

newlark · 04/03/2014 20:28

Lost 2 lbs this week after staying the same last week. Have now made my 5% goal - onwards and downwards :). Not such a good day today though so I need to be really strict tomorrow :(

trainersandaches · 05/03/2014 08:53

Well done Newlark and thank you to those who congratulated me Blush. My leader didn't read out my weight loss/silver seven so it is nice to have somewhere to share it!

To lose my last stone I think I am going to try to really stay focused and be even more prepared. This is exactly the point where I think "well, I've come so far, it doesn't matter any more" so I want to keep on track. I am going to try and keep snacks with me and get back to having homemade soup or a salad every day as well as upping my exercise.

I went out last night and had a non-alcoholic cocktail instead of the usual gin, so I'm polishing my halo a bit. Luckily my friend barely drinks so didn't say anything - I haven't told anyone outside family I am doing WW as I prefer to keep it to myself - I guess so people don't comment on what I eat.

SuperDuperJezebel · 05/03/2014 09:18

Yay, everyone is doing amazingly!
Not sure what I'll do to celebrate my 100lb... It'll be exactly 1 stone from goal as my aim is to lose 114lb, so I don't want to make it too big a celebration. I need to save my money for my Goal present that I have decided to buy myself, a Marc Jacobs handbag. Just a small one, I'm trying to pay vfor a wedding!

everygalaxy · 05/03/2014 12:05

Hello everyone. I have just started ww online for the third time but I am feeling very motivated this time because I have a wedding dress to fit into in November! Crossing my fingers for a loss this week.

trainersandaches · 05/03/2014 14:53

I'm very impressed with those of you slimming for a wedding, I got married last April and I'm afraid I was so stressed with everything else I barely lost a pound beforehand!

newlark · 05/03/2014 19:08

Trainers - I am also keeping doing ww quiet in RL - I haven't even told my family though my dh can see I am making an effort to eat smaller portions and snack less.

Welcome everygalaxy - the extra motivation of a wedding helps! I only managed to lose a few pounds before my wedding but it was the lightest I had been for a few years and I've been above that weight almost the whole time since! I'm not that far off it now though and that is the goal weight I've got set in the app at the moment although I would like to lose a bit more than that.

HalleLouja · 05/03/2014 19:19

Another 1lb down so 8.5lb in total over 6 weeks. Slowly but surely it comes off. was going to stop at 14lb but think I might try and lose an extra 1/4 to 1/2 a stone once I have lost the original target.

annielostit · 05/03/2014 19:31

All this wedding weight loss is reminding me where I supposed to be heading.
I've got about 8lb to be the weight I was when I got married 7 years ago. Your all doing so well.
Hope to be 2lb down by next week leaving the next goal, 6 more by Easter!
Having a poor day today, had 2 treats when I've been trying to stick with 1, to get a couple more wines on the weekend. Need to eat better protein choices tomorrow. Today's breakfast and lunch left me with the munchies.
Good luck all.x

ElectricalBanana · 05/03/2014 19:36

Hello fellow fat fighters!

I am doing ww online and I have lost 14.4lbs in six weeks.

I have another two stones to lose.

I am 46 this year and I have high bp, cholesterol, asthma and hypothyroidism. All conditions well controlled.

My reason for weight loss is I need some major surgery on my lady parts in the summer and I don't want my weight to be an issue.

Here endeth my confession......

trainersandaches · 05/03/2014 23:04

Welcome Galaxy and Banana!

Today I made really poor choices as I was really tired - was running late for a meeting so grabbed brekkie at Pret (a hot English muffin - 9 sodding points) - I usually have porridge with soy milk after I get to work. Then at lunch I was starving as it was after 2pm so I over-ate a bit - soup, French bread, Pret popcorn etc. Then I was knackered so had a latte at 5pm with sugar. I missed pancake day so my DH made me pancakes... I did enjoy them tho but my day came in at 40 points and no exercise.

Onwards and upwards tomorrow. I have a night on my own tomorrow so will go running as soon as I get in from work, then have a light dinner.

KosherBacon · 07/03/2014 08:01

Hello electric banana and galaxy! Most of us have been on the WW merry go round before. We all know it works, it's just keeping the motivation going once you get to goal.

Trainers- don't worry about over indulging. If you did have 40pp then that's only 14 out of your extras, so you still have another 35 to play with.

I had a 2lb loss this week. I had an appalling week but it was my weigh in after my period, so I always get a good loss then as I lose all the retained water. I have now lost 27lb and am 1lb away from booking my treat of a HoC style day. I did crack and buy some new trousers last week- a pair of coated skinny jeans with ankle zips to wear with ridiculous stilettos and a silk blouse.

I have realised that I was in denial about how big I was. I think I thought I looked the same as I did when I got married, which is stupid seeing as though I weighed two and a half stone more.

trainersandaches · 07/03/2014 08:37

I completely know what you mean about being in denial Kosher - when I was two stone heavier I genuinely thought no one had noticed. Now I can see such a difference in my face, my arms and my tummy (still not flat though!). I have had SO many comments that I think everyone must have been silently sizing me up.

I thought I was dressing cleverly but you can't hide your frame. I have started replacing some of my clothes which feels great - wearing more up-to-date shapes is making a difference too.

This weekend I'm having a pub lunch and birthday cake etc for my DNephew but I'm going to try to go to weigh in on Monday even if I have gained. I am bound to go over my weeklies but I guess learning not to just abandon the whole thing is what I need to discipline myself to do!

I'll be really interested to hear about the HoC day once you book it - not long to go now.

trainersandaches · 07/03/2014 08:38

Oh and well done on the 2lb!

everygalaxy · 07/03/2014 11:47

It's great to hear about everyone losing - it reminds me that it will work if I stick to it. I have been tracking everything on the app this week and I seem to have loads of weekly points left (they might go over the weekend!)

I have decided to give up buying any clothes for lent so hopefully come Easter I can get something in a smaller size and see how far I have come.

ElectricalBanana · 07/03/2014 18:07

I am enjoying having saggy arse jeans!

I hate buying clothes ( I will only buy when they are falling apart) and DH keeps saying " ooh you need new jeans" I am not too keen. He is a fab shopping partner and is a veritable gok wan ( but only if it's shopping for me - if it's for him he is like a petulant teenager)

So I am still in my size 16 jeans.... I got a belt. DH has had to make new holes in it.

beachavendrea · 08/03/2014 01:27

Very impressed with everyone's weight loss it's so good to have positive news. It is a marathon that's what I have to remind myself.
I've lost over 10 kilos since I strarted I think that's about a stone.
I was in complete denial that it would just come off 'naturally' after baby. But weight watchers has been great as it's really addressed my life long bad eating habits, binging and sugary foods. Which I've probably got away with for far too long.
Given up refined sugar for lent but having some honey as treat.
