New thread before old one is full.

OP posts:
BusyMissIzzy · 30/09/2010 14:14

I hated the V raises, my shoulders were (to quote Jillian) screaming by the end.

Day 9 of level 3 done... only one day left! Had hoped to do aerobics as well today, but DD woke up.

I'm already planning my next Shred Blush. Will probably take a week or so off and then start it all again (although might cut 'additional' exercise back to just the running at weekends).

NothingButTheTeuch · 30/09/2010 14:57

lost you all for a few days there Wink

Just going to read posts and will update!

NothingButTheTeuch · 30/09/2010 15:06

Right I missed a few days with having visitors but we did manage some big walks with pushchairs...

I think I am on day 5 of level 2 Hmm, which considering I seem to have been doing it for weeks Grin

Anyway, I am noticing a marked difference in my fitness, and a friend commented that I was looking slimmer today, yay!!

Have family do in 2 weeks so I am trying to shred everyday plus get in a good old stomp (ground far too uneven for me to consider jogging...that's my story anyway!)

Joby1970 · 30/09/2010 16:59

I have been shredding (on & off since Feb) now I also go to a boxfit class at the gym - the trainer asks us to suggest an abs exercise each week - I always suggest the walking press up - the rest of the class hates me for it lol

prettybird · 01/10/2010 13:34

Day 15 completed. The press-ups in the walking press-ups are becoming slightly less nominal Grin - even if they do have to be done much slower than Natalie and Anita do them.

I have also lost a pound this week. :)

Still haven't measured myself though.

BusyMissIzzy · 02/10/2010 09:59

Morning everyone. Well, I finished the Shred yesterday and, as promised, here are my results:

upper arm - 1" lost
waist - 3" lost
tummy - at least 2" lost (took 1st measurement half way through)
hips - 1" lost
thigh - 1.5" lost

Weight-wise I've only lost 3lbs, but I suspect I've actually lost more but put on muscle as well. I definitely look leaner and more toned, so I'm quite happy with the results.

I'm planning to take a week or two off and then start again, maybe moving up the levels quicker this time. I've definitely been converted Grin

Fimbles5 · 02/10/2010 16:17

Fantastic Busy and Congratulations on seeing it through to the end :)

notyummy · 02/10/2010 17:13

Well done Busy - that is awesome!

Thanks :)

mmmwine I've been sticking to about 1500-1600 calories a day, and have also been running at weekends and doing aerobics or kickboxing a couple of times a week.

SMummyS · 04/10/2010 15:11

Can I join you please Grin

I should get my DVD in the next couple of days and I can't wait.

I shall post vital statistics soon

NothingButTheTeuch · 05/10/2010 08:09

Izzy your calorie count is making me hungry just looking at it Grin

I am not very good at cutting calories - I dunno whether it is because I am home all day, or because it is a very loooooong day (breakfast at 6am makes for a hungry mummy at 9am...and 11am...)

SMummyS - welcome Smile Some of the others are a bit more hardcore than me, but I am seeing a difference, even without dieting!

However, the measuring tape shall not lie...

SMummyS · 05/10/2010 10:09

Thanks for the welcome NothingButTheTeuch

Im rubbish at dieting and excersise as I get bored with it. I had been dong Hannah Watermans DVD which I love but now im getting used to it im finding it boring hhmmm so im hoping to do the 30 day shred, then Hannahs DVD for a month then 30 day shred, and alternate them..

As you said the measuring tape shall not lie [grim]

NothingButTheTeuch · 05/10/2010 12:30

Well, I was brave enough to get the measuring tape out....

According to my spreadsheet Wink I have been shredding on and off since 13th September - 5 x L1, and 8 x L2 over (oops, only managed 13 days out of 23!) but still...

No dieting, just trying not to be too greedy. Trying to get in the odd power walk when I can.

I am around 8lbs lighter and measurements:
Arms: -1/2"
Under bust: -1"
Boobs: -2"
Waist: -1"
Hips: no change (grrrrrr)
Thigh: -1"
Calves: -1/4" (all counts!!)

Yay! I have high hopes for level 3 Grin

Joby1970 · 05/10/2010 13:16

NBTT - well done - a steady weight loss & inchloss - are you going to do another round?

NothingButTheTeuch · 05/10/2010 13:28

I haven't gotten onto L3 yet! That will be just as intermittent though as I we have visitors then I am away for a week...

After that, I think I will aim to shred 3 times a week, with walking or something else as well.

Depending on how I get on with L3, I might just do another round throughout November, and try and be more consistent... Hmm

prettybird · 05/10/2010 13:32

Day 17 completed. never seem to get around to it at the weekends, but have got into a good routine during the week.

Still haven't measdure myself Blush - but my dad did ask me at the weekend if I had lost weight :).....not according to the scales I said but I have started doing some exercise Grin

justaminute · 05/10/2010 21:03

How quickly the body forgets the pain of the Shred!

I've not shredded for 2 weeks However, I have been out running, I've been following the couch to 5K programme and have managed three 25 minute runs jogs this week. I'm very chuffed with myself. Anyhow, the weather is lousy and dh is out so I put on Level 2 of the Shred tonight....ouch! I'm a sweaty quivering mess right now Blush

It's nice to hear about more success stories, I'm hoping they will inspire me. I've stalled after my initial inch loss and I keep gaining and losing the same 3lb

BigTeuchLittleTeuch · 05/10/2010 21:20

I understand if no-one wants to, but I would love to know if any of you are "proper" heavy, like me...

So I'm gonna put it out there.... My bmi is 32.

If anyone else is in this range I'd love to compare with how you progressed/progressing!

prettybird · 06/10/2010 11:39

BTLT - having just re-registered on FoodFocus (they had de=registered me becasue I hadn't been on it for a couple of months, so all my histroy has gone :(), my BMI is 31.5 Blush

I managed to put on nearly three stone in less than a year :(Blush

Have jsut completed Day 18 :) Two more days of Level 2 to go......

BigTeuchLittleTeuch · 06/10/2010 14:07

I gave level three a try today (having done L2 x 8 over 10 days) and it was bloody hard but not too bad!

I am away next week and wanted to give a real effort to shift a few more pounds before then...

Those who have done the whole thing - did you notice much difference in the last 10 days??

BigTeuchLittleTeuch · 06/10/2010 14:09

Prettybird - it has taken me many years to get up to this weight, which makes me think that is why it is more stubborn to shift...

I reckon that a fast weight-gain can mean a fast weight-loss if you get into the right mindset Smile

(and thought I should point our that I am still Teuch, just a variation on my previous username Grin)

SMummyS · 06/10/2010 18:06

ooouuuccchhh got my DVD today so just done it...

prettybird · 06/10/2010 18:14

My arms ached the first couple of times I did it: so much so, it felt like they were swollen! ShockBlush

And that was only using 1kg weights and doing the bent knee press-ups Blush

Trust me, it does get better (I won't say "easier" WinkGrin)

SMummyS · 06/10/2010 18:21

I like a workout where you 'feel' like you have donw something. I've done some before where after a month you can see results but you dont feel like you've done anything.

Yeah my arms and chest hurt Grin but i cant wait till i get in from work tomoro
