Well done Smummy - you will be doing Level 3 on the hard version of all the exercises before you know it!

BigTeuchLittleTeuch · 07/10/2010 07:52

Did I say L3 wasn't too bad? My legs, arse and shoulders ache this morning...

prettybird · 07/10/2010 13:33

Well, at least you know it is having an effect! :)

I've now completed Day 19, but ds is off from today until the 19th, and I always find it difficult to keep up the exercise when he is in the house.

SMummyS · 07/10/2010 15:24

I can't wait to get home to do it again.. I really want it to work lol

BigTeuchLittleTeuch · 07/10/2010 16:02

It is a beautiful day here, and I really want to go out for a good stomp in the fresh air, rather than sweat on my living room floor...

I won't have time to do both. Should I enjoy the nice weather whilst I can (our winters are long, dark and wild!) or should I shred??

BigTeuchLittleTeuch · 07/10/2010 17:35

shredded!

prettybird · 07/10/2010 17:50

Good for you :) Do you still have time to do even a short stomp in what's left of the fine Autumn sunshine? :)

prettybird · 08/10/2010 13:32

Day 20 completed - Level 3 here I come [gulp]

I was very :( though this morning - despite being relatively good all week (and reeeeaally good the last couple of days since I started using FoodFocus again) I had put on a pound. :(ConfusedAngry

I was still just doing the bent-leg press-ups but moved up anyway.

I'd give Level 2 a go and see how you get on. I found the first circuit of Level 2 (the strength and the aerobics) the worst - once I'm through that, I know I'm OK. Although I have to admit, the first abdominals exercise in the 2nd circuit is a killer - but then, I'm doing the advanced version (my years of Pilates do have a benefit Wink)

Joby1970 · 11/10/2010 12:47

I think everyone finds level 2 the hardest overall.

LostGirl · 11/10/2010 14:38

itsonlyajob I would move up to level 2 anyway as it is good for your body to change what you are doing as it gets used to doing the same thing. You can always go back to level 1 afterwards if you want to.

BusyMissIzzy · 11/10/2010 14:47

Hi everyone :) I've started my second round of Shredding today. Not sure how consistent I'll be this time as 7mo DD is teething and her routine has gone out the window; I used to always work out during her morning nap. But we'll see. I thought I'd find level 1 easier this time round, but it was still pretty tough. I was probably doing it at a higher intensity level this time round though. I managed all the press-ups this time too, which I certainly couldn't the first time!

Looks like everyone's doing really well, and nice to see some new faces too :)

notyummy · 11/10/2010 14:56

Would agree with Joby - level 2 does feel the hardest at first. For seem reason the change from 1 to 2 is harder than from 2 to 3. It is good to change though, and keep challenging your body, even if you are still working at the 'easy' version before you move up.

itsonlyajob I'd recommend watching the level 2 workout before you try it, at least that way you know what you're in for!

No Shredding here today, I have a cold. I don't feel too awful but if I try to exercise I'll probably just prolong it or make it worse :(

prettybird · 12/10/2010 12:02

3 days off (weekend is diffuclt and yesterday was my parents 50th wedding anniversay and I went to have lunch with my mum & dad) but day Day 1 of Level 3. Am currently dripping over the keyboard before going off to have a shower - will see what the damage is like tomorrow.

Couldn't even begin to do the first set of plank push-ups: had to revert immediately to the bent-leg version :(.

Ripeberry · 12/10/2010 12:13

Glad I've found this thread as I'm doing the 30day shred and started off OK on L1 even though my legs went to jelly!

I've been doing L2 on and off, but I've had a bad cold and all that exercise makes me have a coughing fit, not helpfull when you don't have time to drink any water.

I'm hoping to get back into it, but although the execises are only for 20 mins, you do end up needing an hour, just to get ready and have a shower and change afterwards.

But I do feel fitter and muffin top is slowly going away Smile

prettybird · 15/10/2010 17:50

Did my second day of Level 3 today. Upped the weights to 2kg - but still aboslutely no way I can do the full version of the plank from the elbows exercise (can't remember what it is called: Circuit 1 strength anyway), nor the travelling press-ups. I have to do them with my knees bent.

notyummy · 16/10/2010 22:05

It is hard isn't it? I can do the travelling push ups on my feet first time round, but end up on my knees on the second time.

DesperateHousewife32 · 17/10/2010 16:37

Hi,

I've recently lost a little weight but still have a stone and a half to go. Can anyone help reccomend a diet plan??

I've recently started my own blog called 'How I changed my life in a year'. I'm a single mum in desperate need of a life overhaul. Feel free to have a look (when you get a spare moment)

prettybird · 19/10/2010 12:57

Did Day 3 of Level 3 today - ds is back at school from today so it should now be easier to do it regularly. :)

DesparateHousewife - there are various "Slimming" support threads: I am on the The Wannabe Winter Waifs one. We are following various methods: some of us on SLimmers World, others (like me) are just calories counting using FoodFocus

SMummyS · 19/10/2010 18:05

Im back!!!! I started Level 1 yesterday, did Hannah Watermans body blitz today, and will do 30 day shred tomoro again Grin

I think it's fine to do whatever you want Level 1/ 2 on whatever days - as long as you are sweating & "feel like you're gong to die" lol
