New thread before old one is full.

Well done TrollyDolly. I took today off from Shredding, but went for a 5 mile run. I was sooo slow, I think my muscles must've been tired from the Shred! I'll get back to it tomorrow, but my sister's coming to visit later this week (she's coming home after a year in Vancouver and it's the first time she'll meet my 5mo DD :)) and after that we're going away for a few days, so my Shredding will be a bit sporadic for a while. I can keep up the running with people here, but me jumping around in pants and sports bra, grunting and sweating like a loon is not something any visitors need (or want) to see Grin

encyclogirl · 22/08/2010 19:58

Took two days off due to lots of visitors and meals to cook, and eat (gulp). Project 6.30am starts tomorrow. Yes I will get up and get shredding. I am convinced I can do it...

BusyMissIzzy · 22/08/2010 20:10

You can do it encyclogirl :) I like your name btw.

BusyMissIzzy · 23/08/2010 10:02

Did I kill the thread? :(
Day 3 of level 1 today. Managed 16 and 10 pushups in circuit 1, compared to 10 and 6 on day 1. Maybe by day 7 I'll be able to do them all! I'm definitely finding the strength moves the hardest part.

encyclogirl · 23/08/2010 11:01

OMG that was not fun! Day 6 of shredding at 6.30 in the morning! I think I should've eaten something, like a banana at least...

Anyway done now, thinking I'll do it again tonight actually.

Thanks for the support Busy :)

Have just completed Level 1 day 1 !-Actually enjoyed it and wasn't as horrendous as I though it would be. Similar excercises to the ones at the circuit training/condtioning class I used to go to -so at least I sort of felt I knew what I was doing. Have lots of flabby bits that need toned though so just hope I can manage to see it through for the full 30 days!

BusyMissIzzy · 23/08/2010 12:21

Foghorn you're on the same day as me. And yes, my pectorals (I think that's the right name) are where I feel it most too! I think it's the pushups.
Well done on getting up early encyclogirl, and good luck magenta :)

TrollyDolly1 · 23/08/2010 13:05

Level 1 day 4. It's not feeling any easier, the sit ups at the end kill me! Well done encyclogirl, it's done now you can enjoy your day without it hanging over you, although doing it twice? Wow! Lol.

You will be fine magenta I can't believe I'm already on day four! Keep on shredding everyone!

Joby1970 · 23/08/2010 13:21

Well done to all our new ladies who are on the early days of WO one. I promise in no time at all you'll be at the end of the 30 days & look good x

Loujalou · 23/08/2010 14:14

Right I am going to buy this. Already go to gym to do lbt and body conditioning and have started couch to 5k but am going on holiday in less than a month and this looks like something that might kill me / get me fitter.

What weights do I need??

Which DVD have people got??

Joby1970 · 23/08/2010 15:41

re DVD it depends on which your DVD player will play I think. I have 2KG weights - but I think it ranges on here from 1KG to approx 3KG

What is this shredding thing? I keep seeing it mentioned. And I am now curious. Thanks

LostGirl · 24/08/2010 08:35

30 Day Shred is an exercise dvd which contains 3 workouts which work the whole body, and are only 20 minutes long, and very effective. The idea is to do 10 workouts at level 1, 10 at level 2 and 10 at level 3.

Not sure Foghorn Blush Somewhere in the, uh, chestal region anyway.
Did level 1 day 4 today, and 20mins aerobics. Aerobics was so much harder after the Shred.

Loujalou · 24/08/2010 14:34

Right DVD bought from Amazon!! Not sure what I am letting myself in for.

encyclogirl · 24/08/2010 21:52

Well good thing I did two, cos I did none today.

Project 6.30am recommences tomorrow!

glasjam · 24/08/2010 22:02

I just wanted to sheepishly enter this thread by saying I have purchased this DVD and I have watched it with my 3 year old daughter who thought it was hilarious.

I am nursing an ear infection at the moment but am NOT looking forward to embarking on this AT ALL! All you people saying "oh it reminds me of the circuit training I used to do" or "I did a 5 mile run afterwards" or "I used to be quite fit and athletic but found it hard" are SCARING me Grin

Thought it would spur me on just to post on the thread but guess I have to do the thing to really join in don't I?!

racmac · 25/08/2010 06:41

comeon glasjam you can do it
well done to all those noobies Grin

Im about to do day 7 of WO 3 although i have not been as good as some and its taken me a while although for the last 2 weeks i have been more committed

Joby1970 · 25/08/2010 08:01

Glasjam - you'll be fine - maybe ache like buggery, but yu'll be fine Grin

TrollyDolly1 · 25/08/2010 08:21

glasjam you will be fine, both my dp and I are shredding together, and although as Joby said we both "ache like buggery* it really is fine! I did Level 1 day 5 yesterday. Feeling good. And, dp and I are not in the slightest bit fit ..... not at all!
