well i managed day 1 last night! was great. impressed how much work you can get into such a short period!
feeling good this morning
will shred again tonight!!
(1.5kg weights were plenty!!)

TartyMcFarty · 20/08/2010 10:21

Well done Tortoise, justaminute and LC200 Smile

Am working really hard here but there's no weight coming off; we'll have to see about inch loss in 5days' time!

BusyMissIzzy · 20/08/2010 11:19

Did The Shred for the first time this morning. Level 1 obviously, with 1kg weights. It's pretty intense! The only bit I actually couldn't do was the push-ups. I could do 8 the first time, and 6 the second, then had to have a break.

I feel good, on a bit of a high actually; felt like I could have gone for a run afterwards (not an option as I have 5mo DD), although I suspect I'm going to be in pain tomorrow (can already feel it, mostly in my arms) so I thought I'd better not push it.

I've measured my arms, waist, hips and thighs and weighed myself. Unfortunately I've got my sister coming to visit next week and am off on a short break after that, so the whole thing will be a bit sporadic to start. But I'll get there eventually!

Out of interest do most of you combine the Shred with other exercise as well? I'm planning to keep up running at least once a week.

TrollyDolly1 · 20/08/2010 12:08

Hi Everybody ...... would you mind if I joined in? I am expecting my DVD to arrive any time now. I can't wait to try it. I have done all my measurements. I have also presuaded DP to join me as well, we have devised an ambitious fitness plan for the lead up to our holiday! Tortoise - you are my inspiration, you have done soooo well, bet you are so pleased!

TartyMcFarty · 20/08/2010 12:51

I combine mine with a high intensity 15 min spin every day BusyMissIzzy. I also have a 5 1/2 month old DD so it's hard to do anything that involves leaving the house!

Tortoise · 20/08/2010 13:50

TrolleyDolly Yes i am pleased Smile. Good luck to you.
Looking forward to a week+ off now! Grin

Oh! It arrived an hour ago and I have done it and I feel GREAT!!!!! Wow! That was hard but, I've done it now - Level 1 Day 1 Done!!! Yey! wore two sports bra's and found that helped, think I will employ that technique when I run aswell. At work tomorrow but I am going to get up extra early to get it done before I have to leave.

Tortoise · 20/08/2010 15:37

WOW! Well done TrolleyDolly. SmileGlad you are motivated and looking forward to day 2. Smile

Level one is easing off, am dreading/half excited about level two!

TrollyDolly1 · 20/08/2010 18:56

Ha Ha Ha HA HA!!! My dp is shredding, I'm pretending to be very busy on the internet but am secretly watching him. Have got to say ...... I am much better, he is huffing and puffing along complaining under his breath ... ha ha, so funny!

TartyMcFarty · 20/08/2010 19:54

Hhhhhhnnnnnnnngggggggghhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaa ... HHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggghhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaa ...

Those are the sorts of noises I make when doing the plank with arm and leg raise thingy. Night. Mare. I also put all my anger into the rock star jumps, that way I can do the hardcore ones Grin

5 days and counting until I can hide that horrible Jillian Michaels in a dusty drawer, or better still, give her away to some other unsuspecting mug

3ismylot · 20/08/2010 20:37

Well day 5 of level one is complete and starting to dread level 2 lol

Its stupid but I find circuit 1 the hardest and it gets easier lol

sprogger - that made me smile - DS (2.8) joined in last time I did it and wanted my tins of beans for weights - was most unimpressed that I wouldn't give them up! He ended up using his two Wotwot toys instead Grin
Might get back into it tomorrow - still a bit wobbly after planetrip.

Titsalina - you're not on a low carb diet or anything, are you? What you're describing sounds a bit like low blood sugar, so be careful - make sure you have eaten properly at least 1.5h before you do the routine.

TrollyDolly1 · 21/08/2010 06:53

Level 1 day 2! Hey, got up extra early tom do it this morning and feel good. It's set me up for the day. Going to buy some hand weights tonight. 1.5 lbs will be plenty I think.

KristinaM · 21/08/2010 11:56

congrats to all with lots of inch loss, esp LC2000. i am v Envy

LOL at tortoise climbing over woman on plane Grin

BusyMissIzzy · 21/08/2010 12:05

2nd day of level 1 here too . FWIW, I'm using 1kg weights and find that more than enough at the moment. And my arms are reasonably strong as I do kickboxing. I have 1.5kg weights too, so I hope to move up when I feel comfortable.

Also ran 3 miles this morning. Still struggling with the push-ups though. Generally feeling good :)

TitsalinaBumSquash · 21/08/2010 12:06

I have done day 4 now and have been on a calorie controled diet for 2 weeks and not lost a farking pound, i am so sick of being fat. Sad

TitsalinaBumSquash · 21/08/2010 12:30

I am just following a calorie controled diet with myfitnesspal.com, i havent seen a dr about excersising but i do have hypermobility syndome and very unstable limbs, hence why im trying to get some muscle into them to strengthen them a bit.

Im only using 1kg wieghts and there not uncomfortbale at all.

I am not massivley overweight im a size 14 but it looks big becuase i am only 5ft.

I eat well and i tend to eat small amounts during the day.

mybe i will ask my dr about it next time i see him.

KristinaM · 21/08/2010 12:36

tits - do ask dr about it because it sounds like low blood sugar. i get that sometimes too and I'm ok but DH gets it and its a symptom of his type 2 diabetes. not trying to scare you, but worth getting it checked out

TrollyDolly1 · 22/08/2010 13:34

Level 1 day 3!!! Wow, love it, just when you are sure you are going to die, it's over! How are you getting on MissIzzy?

racmac · 22/08/2010 16:08

woohoo
just done day 5 of level 3 and starting to do some of the harder exercises but not for the full amount

TartyMcFarty · 22/08/2010 17:18

Day 26 for me today. Not seen any weight loss and very little reduction in my measurements, but I'm plugging away at it in the hope that, when I start running again next week, I'll be fit for it. Had a day off yesterday as Level 3 Circuit 3 seems to have done my upper arm damage. Feeling preyty much better today though.

As DD is 6 months on Friday, I'm going to be gradually reducing the BFing as I return to work and hopefully my (o)(o) will return to something like normal Grin

Got myself a couple of bits of running gear today which always gets me motivated!

TartyMcFarty · 22/08/2010 17:19

pretty
