Kristina I won't run, I'm put off by the possibility it would age me and the potential for injury.

However I do swimming/cycling/spinclasses/circuit training weekly. Spinning especially is great for weightloss and a good all round cardio workout.

Day 5 of Level 1 done here, I need heavier weights.

Wow LostGirl, that's encouraging!

Day 22 done. Am attempting all the harder moves. Hate the wall-climbing plank thing, the jumping lunges, the walking push-ups and the plank raises (just about all of it really!) but I will beat my flabby body into submission!

well day 2 done and im shattered not sure how I will cope with level 2 or 3 but I must say I am enjoying it so far Grin

Im off to Amsterdam next week for 2 days and I am actually annoyed that I gotta have the days off shred! Im sure that will change by the end of the week though lol

I have done so much walking today, not sure i can muster up the energy to shred. I want to though! Will give it a few more minutes and see if i can get it done. Have to remember it will make it one day closer to completion!

Have gone from a 16 to a 14. Waiting until day 30(60!) to measure again but last time i only lost 1/2 inch of each bit that i measured! Have lost a stone since Jan most of it since starting shred. Smile

encyclogirl It has taken me years of weight going up and down to get to this point. Am so happy that someone started the Shred thread on MN and i bought it and joined in. Otherwise my weight would still be going up and down! Grin(Mainly up!)
I have been overweight since i had DS1 13yrs ago Shock. Lost some before i had DD1 and DD2 but put loads back on.
Would like to lose about 1/2 stone more and tone up the flab more! Grin

Also before i started shredding my BMI rated me as overweight. Now my BMI is rating me at a healthy weight for my height. Grin

Congrats Tortoise. It must feel fantastic to get it all under control. The main thing I've felt for this entire year is out of control. This time last year I was training for the Great North Run. As soon as it was over I sat on my arse eating crisps until nothing would fit anymore.

I dunno why I developed such an aversion to exercise, but I hope this DVD will help me find my mojo at last. I mean if I can't find 20 minutes a day then there's something seriously wrong, right?

I am starting to shred today my DVD just arrived from Amazon!
So how does it work? WHen do i go from one stage to the next, how long do i do it for each day ect...

I try to eat a calorie controled diet (haha) i haven't excersised for 3 days becuase i put my back out big style, im feeling better today though.
I just have to lure the kids off of the bloody Wii then i shall shred away. Grin

each workout is about 20 minutes

you do each level once a day for 10 days then move on

you need to wear supportive shoes and bra

you also need light weights but if you dont have them just do the workout without them, you can get them later. don't put off starting while you are in the mood Grin

i should have started last night but i didnt. will start tonight too titslina.
my weights arrive today but i have very hard woodern floors so have asked dh very nicely to get me a mat today (there is shop near his work) in fact im off to remind him now
so wanna be my shred buddie titslina!?

we have wooden floors too and i think its better than concrete as there is a little give in them

i dont have a mat - i just lie on an old blanket [cheapskate]. it doesnt slip as i only need it when I'm lying on my back for abs, though i'm sure a yoga mat would be ideal

I have done it today (I opt to do it when DP is at owrk so he doesnt watch!)
I nearly died im sure! My 3 yr old DS was saying 'you ok Mummy?' 'Shall we turn the naughty lady off?'
