New thread before old one is full.

joby yy with the firmer boobs.
they are less 'pointing south' more 'at the equator' as dh so delicately put it. bastard.

i run 2-3 times a week too, plus cycle and walk everywhere, but really noticed weight shifting with not having the couple of glasses of wine/cans of lager per night

WhatsWrongWithYou · 15/07/2010 19:32

That's very inspiring about the boobs!
I've shredded once and gymed once this week; think the only way for me to do it regularly is to set the alarm for 6.30.
I find the shred leaves me a lot more uncomfortably achey than the gym does, I suppose because it's quite intense over a shorter period.
I also find my lower back aches for a few days, whereas the gym relieves the back ache.
Hopefully this will ease off as I get stronger - motivated by the thought of firmer bits!
I've lost a couple of pounds this week I think, following the Isabel Los Rios diet - basically replacing wheat with spelt, sweet potatoes instead of spuds, and no sugar or processed foods.
There's an ongoing thread on it, with lots of success stories, if anyone's interested.

LC200 · 15/07/2010 21:10

Something I have learnt today: 2kg weights are A LOT heavier than tins of baked beans. Ouch.

Tortoise · 15/07/2010 21:34

Haven't shredded for a couple of days again .
I'm sure my boobs have shrunk. Wish my thighs and bingo wings would shrink too!

OP posts:
racmac · 16/07/2010 07:53

I did day6 level 1 today at 6.30!
And i did it with the heaviest of my weights all the way through - they are 1.5kgs

Must see if i can get some 2kg or 3kg ones

TartyMcFarty · 16/07/2010 09:04

I'm going to do level 1 day 4 today using my 2.5kg weights some of the time. I definitely want to spend 10 days on each level to make sure I get it right - I'm not going on to level 2 until I can do a full push up!

WhatsWrongWithYou · 16/07/2010 09:05

Day4 level 1 done at 6.30 also!
I'm also on 1.5kg weights - might be ready to increase in a few days.

Squidmission · 16/07/2010 09:34

at racmac and whatswrong waking up at 6.30 to shred!
I slept in until 7.40 so it was too late. I need to start setting my alarm instead of relying on dh to set it!
I'll try to find time later to do it but it will be tricky.

Tortoise - hope you managed to get back into it.

justaminute · 16/07/2010 09:55

tartymcfarty I've nearly finished The Shred second time round and I can't do a full set of proper push ups. I have progressed to being able to sort of do a couple but my dh deflated my excitement by saying my bum was too far up in the air

Tortoise · 16/07/2010 10:10

Squid Will get back to it tonight!

Have now lost 1 stone since beginning of the year.

OP posts:
racmac · 16/07/2010 10:31

yeah im only up doing that at 6.30 because the kids had me awake at 5.45

well done Tortoise

shinybootsofleather · 16/07/2010 10:55

Just started the Shred again. Still on level one as I keep stopping and starting. I fell over drunk at a festival in quite an embarrassing fashion grazing my knees and cutting my hands in quite an and haven't been able to shred for a couple of weeks lest my hands split open (urgh). I hope my boobs will lift. I doubt it though as I have had a 2 stone weightloss since my son was born 10 months ago and I have massive norks . I have gone down from a 36G to a 36 E/F. They're not much perkier as far as I can see yet. Any massive-norked ladies who can reassure??

Squidmission · 16/07/2010 11:45

Well done tortoise! thats really good.
I've lost about 12.5lbs since the beginning of the year. Yes it is slow but the way i see it is that I could have been 12.5lbs heavier and a lot more miserable if I hadn't lost that weight or exercised.
And I am positive that its going to stay off

Poor you Shinyboots! That sounds painful.
I am a 36D so not massive but norks could do with a huge lift. Personally, I've not noticed a lift. Hopefully with a bit more weight loss...

Just shredded so am pleased I managed to fit it in. Toddler was very amused and kept trying to run between my legs and climb on top when I was doing abs

This is why I prefer to do it first thing!

jooseyfruit · 16/07/2010 14:07

Tarty I'm on 2nd cycle of shred and NO WAY can I do full on push ups. I'm with Anita all the way on those ones!
Don't think I ever will be able to.

good luck and keep shredding

WhatsWrongWithYou · 16/07/2010 14:12

It's funny, with the getting up early to shred < sounds like an expert when she's only done it once > ; I thought I'd feel absly dreadful today as I didn't go to bed any earlier and I rarely go to bed before 12am.

But I've had days this week when I've felt much, much worse - nearly falling asleep mid-morning - as well as the exercise, I think the knowledge you've actually done it is energising as well.

Skimummy · 16/07/2010 16:03

I am an early Shredder - 6am so it is done before DH and DD get up. I actually find it much better than I thought I would and really like getting exercise done for the day rather than having it hang over me IYKWIM. Plus I am far more likely to not doing anything in the evening...

That said, I had a rest this morning and have just finished Level 2 now. The v-raises continue to huuuuurt.

Now I just need my face to lose some of its redness so I can go out...

newstart2010 · 16/07/2010 21:26

oh i feel bad as did not have time to shred today and eat dinner late so cant do it tonight .

I will defintly do it tomorrow morning as do not have to get up early...

Day 14 done. Was actually looking forward to it tonight .
I couldn't do it in the morning. DD1 is often up at 6.30 and she would no doubt laugh or get in the way! I seem to manage to do it around 9-10pm most nights.

TartyMcFarty · 17/07/2010 16:26

Day 5 done. Haven't missed a day yet [smug emoticon]

I'm generally a mid-afternoon shredder. Like to think I can work off some cals from lunch!

Skimummy · 18/07/2010 14:46

Ugh, have had a bad (aka good) food weekend...think Jillian would be very angry with me. I did, however, do level 3 this morning!

jooseyfruit · 18/07/2010 14:54

oh yes skihorse, I've eaten delicious tasty rubbish this weekend.

Had a couple of drinks last night, no shred yesterday, and consequently feel like crap today.
going to try to shred later when the giant bag of walkers sensations sweet chilli has been digested

jooseyfruit · 18/07/2010 14:57

god sorry ski mummy

justaminute · 18/07/2010 21:38

Just finished my second round of 30 days so time for another set of measurements.
Bust - no change ,thankfully
Waist - 1 inch lost
Hips - 1 inch lost
Widest part - 1 inch lost
Knees - 1 inch lost
Thighs and arms - no change

Still no jaw dropping dramatic changes but at least things are going in the right direction, I feel stronger/ fitter and I'm enjoying it. I just wish my thunder thighs and elephant backside would shift a bit faster.

Tortoise · 18/07/2010 21:53

Well done Justaminute. Great results.
Are you going to start another 30 days?
