Joby That gives me hope that i will be able to one day! I can do the walking push ups in WO 2 but only go half way down! Will see how i get on with them tonight!

Hmmm Joby that gives me 2 months to conquer the 20 minute Shred!

Well done on the press ups - even proper knee ones where your knees are a long way behind your bum are a major struggle for me at the moment!

Tortoise · 08/07/2010 22:42

Day 11 day 1 of WO 2. Had forgotten just how hard WO 2 is! Sweat was dripping down my face!

justaminute · 09/07/2010 11:10

Jillian cetainly makes me sweat too. I did WO 3 last night, I collapsed sat at the laptop a little while later and felt a drip, drip, drip on my leg I looked up at the ceiling thinking we had a leak then realised it was sweat dripping from my forehead! Nice!

I have not shredded today, it's too hot here. I do feel guilty though and will be getting up and doing it first thing tomorrow before it gets hot.

Skimummy · 09/07/2010 18:34

OMG so excited about the prospect of a new Shred DVD! Hmmm, do I need to buy a kettlebell...

I had a day off yesterday due to a late night...but level 2 today. It is a tough level - I find the last circuit quite hard. V-raises are my nemesis.

jooseyfruit · 09/07/2010 18:35

exciting news about new DVD.
managed day 8 of level 3. can now do "full blown, Rocky style sit ups" and did not phone it in baby!

butt cheeks are tighter, I swear.
keep on sweaty shredding.

Tortoise · 09/07/2010 22:41

Day 12.
Far too warm tonight for exercise!Made it very hard to keep going.

Now eating some cheese cake that DS1 made!

thumbwitch · 10/07/2010 08:09

I've had to order the DVD online - not sure how long it will take to arrive but when it does, I'll be joining you! Am quite excited, which is very unusual for me re. any form of exercise. Hope I don't fall at the first "hurdle"!

WhatsWrongWithYou · 10/07/2010 17:39

Level1 completed this am!

Felt fine apart from the Tena Lady ishoos - starjumps are the devil's work for that!

I added in extra arse-lifting exies at the end, as I didn't feel much buttock work had been done.

notyummy · 10/07/2010 20:47

Did levels 1 and 2 back to back this pm. Boy did I sweat!! Have to be careful as I have ongoing lower back issues. I can do everything except the abs exercise in the middle of level 2- the one where you hold the weights up whilst you swing your legs up/around. Just kills my back. I do full on rocky sit ups instead which is much easier on my back.

Well done to all of you shredding in the heat!

Tortoise · 10/07/2010 21:14

Well done notyummy! I can't do those with the weights, i have to do the easy version but even then i can't get legs very low! I can't keep my shoulders on the floor if i go too low!

OP posts:
Skimummy · 11/07/2010 14:58

Not sure I could manage back-to-back levels notyummy, very impressive! Know what you mean about the ab exercises - I am cautious about anything that causes me to lift my lower back, which the pike exercises tend to do. I usually follow Anita for those.

Level 3 for me this morning. Does anyone else find their legs ache more than abs when doing the scissor?! Am I doing something wrong?!

And I have pre-ordered the new DVD from Amazon US . Couldn't stretch to expedited courier though.

Squidmission · 11/07/2010 19:37

Does anyone get up extra early to shred?
I love it when I get it out of the way but I've been sleeping so badly lately that I find it hard to get up!
If I don't do it early, I often find I don't get to do it.

I'm v. excited about new dvd! It sounds really good although I could quite happily carry on with this one.

newstart2010 · 11/07/2010 19:40

Hi everyone, I have had my dvd for a while now but was feeling unwell. I did my 1st shed last night, how long did you all stay on level 1 for?

I have not got any weights yet so not sure how effictive it will be with tins of beans.

Tortoise · 11/07/2010 19:45

SkiMummy I find that too on the scissor exercises.

Squid I really couldn't get up early to exercise! Only just manage to get up by 7 as it is! I prefer to do it in the evenings.

OP posts:
newstart2010 · 11/07/2010 19:56

I've been reading through this thread, and seems alot of you are doing the dvd and running too.

I dont run but normally go to the gym or gym classes, should i keep on doing that as well as the dvd?

When i do the classes my body aches after so would find it more difficult to do the dvd...

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 12/07/2010 11:23

I ended up having the whole weekend off but I have just done level 1 now so back on the wagon.

Squid - I prefer to get it out of the way first thing, just couldn't get out of bed this morning though so I had an extra hour's sleep and have just shredded now.

Jazzicatz · 12/07/2010 11:31

Just finished Level 2 had to do the easy version of most of the exercises, sweated loads and really feel like I have done a workout!

Squidmission · 12/07/2010 20:28

I didn't get to do it this morning.
I have the time to do it now, but lack the energy to sort myself out.
Someone please kick my backside into Jillians direction.

LC200 · 12/07/2010 21:18

Go on Squid! Do it, because you are strong, and it's easy for you.

Tortoise · 12/07/2010 21:44

Hope you have done it squid!

Day 13 here. Had the weekend off. Still struggling with WO 2. The plank position really hurts my arms. Not sure i am keeping good position either.

TartyMcFarty · 12/07/2010 22:04

I'm starting shredding tomorrow. I've had a disgustingly unhealthy few days preparing food for DD's Christening do then scoffing the leftovers, but am planning a fresh start with your miracle workout tomorrow.

I have 2.5kg dumbells - does that sound reasonable? I'm waiting for my spin bike to arrive too, so I can get plenty of cardio in.

Squidmission · 12/07/2010 22:14

Phew its hot!
Managed to muster up some energy to do it
Thanks for motivation.

Tarty I would find 2.5kg difficult as I have wimpy arms. I use 1.5 and thats enough for me. I think there are some very fit and strong girls here that use 2.5kg.
